Alejandro Garnacho (out)

If there is a good offer, just take it. Garnacho is a old school winger and is very different. Amad is versatile where he can mixed his game whereas Garnacho is about taking on the defender. If Amorim doesn't see a need to such player then take the offer. We need different profile to play AM role. If there is 50 million pounds offer, I would take the money.
IMO Amad is another level, has so much more to his game.

You could argue we sold Elanga too early. If we did the same with Garnacho and he realises his potential elsewhere we could really, really regret it.
I don’t think Elanga was good enough for us, but I’m bloody annoyed we only got 15m for him. You think of some of the dross that goes for more than that nowadays.

 feck off with that poor ass offer. If it was any team with sense selling Garnacho, he'd be 80- 100m easily.
£80m is what City got for Alvarez who played the most games for them in his last season and is a starter for the World Cup champions. Garnacho can't nail down a starting position for United and is just a squad filler for Argentine.

Nappli's offer is poor but he isn't worth more than £50-55m.

Correct. At the same time, Alvarez made his debut for Argentina two and a half years later than Garnacho. Garnacho did it at 19 while Alvarez did it well past his 21st birthday (and was a year older at the time than Garnacho now).

When you buy someone as young as Garnacho from a top league you are also making a gamble on their potential. Something we have done and tried with Hojlund. 60 would be bare minimum imo.

I like Garna but if someone came in with 80m for him we should at least definitely consider selling.

As many have said before, seems that the club have taken the initiative to combat agent greed in contract negotiations by “threatening” to sell their clients. Gives us a bit of leverage in what has always been difficult negotiations for us.

I’m all for it. Nobody is untouchable anymore. After it’s all said and done, nobody is going to pay Garna a higher salary than what we would offer anyways.

We were buying a player that the selling club didnt have to sell nor wanted to sell. We seem to be open to selling Garnacho and might even have to sell him to buy some players that better suit the system.

yes but for a player like Garnacho you arent selling him for what he's worth right now.

you would be selling him for what he's worth based on things like potential

we don't need to sell and if we did it would be leaving us very short in attack

these are all factors

Just for a little Clarity, Abramovic estimated wealth is around 10 Billion, Ratcliffes is around 16 Billion, in Dollars that is by the way.

This weird thing people have about him not having the money to run the club needs to stop, he's already invested 380 million of his own money in this year alone. Just because he's not running it like PSG or City does not mean he's not able to.
The rules have changed since those days, what Abramovic could do is not allowed anymore, that's what FFP and now PSR was brought in to stop, a clubs expenditure is now based on what its icome is, whilst it's probably still possible for some money to come in it's not basically a blank check anymore

That is a good point regarding their debut and tbh I think Alvarez was overpriced but he had the pedigree when he was sold.

Most agree United overpaid massively for Hojlund. I don't see anyone offering £60m for Garnacho based on his performances or potential.
