Conte to win Serie A with United players yet again.
Garnacho : meeting in progress #Napoli - #ManchesterUnited to reach a solution that satisfies everyone
Point 2 is the most important, if we sell Garnacho, we can feasibly get in 2-3 players that better suit our setup, and may even be better than him already, we know a LWB can then come in, and ideally CunhaIf we can sell him for around 55 to 60m it’s a fantastic deal for us. I think our fans need to stop being soo emotional regarding players from academy. I have seen all top
Clubs making their assessment and sell their players who they believe will not be good enough for them despite them having good hype around them and make good money. We let things drag on and show reluctance to sell
When the time is right and then we moan about how City, Chelsea and Liverpool get good money for their fringe players. For Garnacho there are two aspects:
1) He currently is not good enough to be an attacker for a club like Manutd and looking at his attributes and shortcomings, it seems highly unlikely he will become one. He will not become fast, or develop technical skills like dribbling or develop IQ for better decision making. Lastly he is not even suited to this formation.
2) For PSR purpose his sale is a goldmine. It’s pure profit and allows us to realistically sign 2 to 3 players depending on whether we have enough room as their costs will be allocated over 4 to 5 years depending on the tenor of contract.
I would be very happy if we sell him and sign Cunha and LWB.
I will say it once again to the people who say don't sell him, so who else can we get money for in our current situation. I have already said ideally we don’t sell him but how else do we get cash.
Yep! It's too attractive not to sell.
I say this for everyone humming and ah'ing in general about the Garnacho sale. Consider the following, in bold for emphasis :-
If we sell Garnacho for the 60m pounds that we're asking, would would be able to spend 180m pounds due to PSR rules!
This, for a player that doesn't fit the system too! Amorim would be able to bring in 3-4 of his own guys just for offloading an underperforming player who doesn't fit his system.
More folks should be happy about these developments and not upset!
I will say it once again, why are you defending the Glazers and Sir Jim Glazer, the fact the club can't afford players isnt on the club, its exclusively on the owners, and you are absolving them of guilt and making excuses for them.I will say it once again to the people who say don't sell him, so who else can we get money for in our current situation. I think we both need to do it as the squad is in dire need of reinforcements (for the right price £60m+), but will also regret losing a player with such potential in the years to come.
Both things can be true.
2nd option because I think he's overrated just because he's a young player. Similar to Januzaj.€70 million from Napoli and never encounter him again or €100 million from Chelsea and face him at least twice a year for years.

Why should the biggest football team in the world be held back by the reluctance of the owners to properly invest?
I can't believe we have gotten to the point where fans are arguing to sell one of our most promising players in decades because it will help the glazers out financially. It's amazing how easily people are brainwashed, stand up for some principles once in a while.
£300 million if we had the cash.Spot on.
£60 million allows you to spend up to £300 million in theory due to amortisation as you can spread the cost over the length of the contract (up to 5 years)So can anyone who understands PSR properly explain how a sale of say £60m means £180m to spend or am I misunderstanding
Seems odd when you have Paez and Estevao on the way. Maybe one of them will go on loan to your french club though? I assume Mudryk is done now too due to the drug test and Nkunku is done but that still leaves you with Sancho, Madueke, Neto, Felix, Palmer etc...
So can anyone who understands PSR properly explain how a sale of say £60m means £180m to spend or am I misunderstanding
Let’s say we get 60m for Garnacho, its considered pure profit. and any incomings can have their cost spread over 5 years.
then say we sign three players for total of 180m, but we spread it over 5 years, So for one year it’s actually 36m on the books.Means you could buy three 60m players with the £60m Garnacho money and still have £24m left over on the current per year.
2 years ago Amad was very underwhelming in many of his appearances. It would be sad if he's sold.
But he's a frustrating player in that he can't really dribble well. To me, a great winger can beat players from a standing start as well as at pace.
I know he's 20 but typically tricky wingers are at their dribbling best when they are young and simply iron out decision making into their mid 20s.
He's productive and is confident and has intensity. But will he develop dribbling, passing, protecting the ball and decision making? I'm not sure.
€70m package and agree a €50m deal for Osimhen?
I presume wages are factored into that though?Let’s say we get 60m for Garnacho, its considered pure profit. and any incomings can have their cost spread over 5 years.

I don't believe wages count.I presume wages are factored into that though?
Where is the £180 million coming from? Assuming we had the cashflow to purchase the players £60 million in profit allows up to £300 Million in spending.Let’s say we get 60m for Garnacho, its considered pure profit. and any incomings can have their cost spread over 5 years.

Yes that's what I meant.Well wages are naturally calculated that way because they are paid that way rather than one lump sum. The wage bill obviously is part of PSR calculations but this wouldn't make any difference to how it's calculated.
Really? Why are we even considering selling a player who could have higher ceiling than Amad?
I would let him go if there is any club thats genuinely interested in signing him, maybe offer him to Napoli in exchange for Victor Oshimen and 10m
He's nowhere close to Amad technically or even physically.
What's hyperbolic about that statement?Hyperbole is not going to help you, even if you were remotely correct.

Neither was Amad when he was Garnacho's age ffs.Really?
