Alejandro Garnacho (out) | Chelsea make enquiries

If he starts tonight then it’s quite clear Amorim wants him to stay. The only reason we’d entertain the idea of selling him because he’s the only player we have that we can make profit on.

I think it's already clear that Amorim rates him otherwise he'd have been dealt with the way Rashford and, to a lesser extent, Casemiro have been. I don't want us to become a club that sells bright young talents, even Barca in their horrendous money troubles have found ways not to be forced to do so. Something doesn't sit right about Ratcliffe and our top brass currently, the Ashworth saga was puzzling and is still an odd mystery, we've basically banished Rashford but can't shift him, we spent a shed load in the summer and now all of a sudden we are speaking about having to sell Mainoo and Garnacho. Imagine we kept a dead man walking Ten Hag and signed players like Zirkzee just to potentially lose Garnacho and/or Mainoo, it doesn't fill you with confidence that we are confidently striding in the right direction.

I don't want to overreact until this gains more traction but I have to say this would be unbelievably stupid if we end up selling Garnacho especially to Chelsea.

Seems weak from the management to leave such a call down to the manager.

But I guess we can do things in the transfer window that other clubs can only dream about.
I still dont believe any of these stories but if its somehow true and Amorim sanction the sale of Garnacho he will regret it. It might sound ridiculous but I rate Garnacho higher than Amad.

Shouldn’t that decision ultimately be made by the “best in class” team of football directors that Jim’s assembled?
Were this the case, I wouldn't mind it so much if the choice was "Garnacho or Players A and B" as opposed to "Garnacho or some money that might get player A, or B, and if not we'll find a C or something."

Keep the player, I'm sure Amorim would say. I don't like the sound of this though, it sounds as though they are playing a game where they won't back him and then blame our situation on Amorim and Garnacho. A lot of question marks around this 'best in class' set up and it is wild to me how many fans are just accepting that Manchester United will try to sell one of it's brightest young players, which goes against the clubs values, and the mysterious sacking of our 'best in class' DOF after such a short stint. There is a lot that stinks about this new ownership setup, I am very wary but just hope that, at the end of the day, surely Ratcliffe wants us to be successful.

Best in class afraid to make a decision  .

I think they may have heard the noise that no one wants to sell him and have left the decision in Amorim’s hand. I think they see it more as backing him than just selling a player that he wants, not exactly backing him if they sell him against Amorims will are they

Clearly playing Garnacho in last 3 games is a message to the fans that Amorim doesnt want to lose him.

And that if we do sell, he better be replaced. Bringing in only Dorgu meets one needs but leaves us short in a different department.

if that's true they are pathetically weak. Absolute weasels like the Glazers.
Exactly, the Glazers are still here too, why do think they cozied up with INEOS so they could continue milking profits off the club.

They will fire half the groundskeeping crew and blame it on Amorin keeping Garnacho now. Rinse and repeat.

I do hope he stays, made some good assists lately after coming back and could develop to a much more rounded player.

He doesn’t suit this system. We have Mazroui who inverts when attacking and Garnacho stays wide. Once we are defending Mazroui returns out wide again.

He does not suit this system at all, so we have a decision to make. Make profit whilst we can and trust the manager's vision, or keep him accounting for the fact that there's always the chance there's a new manager in 3 years time.

thats bs. This whole „he does not suit his system“ has to stop. Hes 20. can easliy adapt. Even stevie wonder could see that garnacho is our best attacking threat

The only guy who was driving us forward. Just play him as a wing forward ( this is a new position - what really need ). Play Erickson and Bruno in the 10’s. Toby and Ugarte in the middle.

Don't see why any team would be willing to offer what we seem to want. If he was playing for another team we wouldn't want to offer more than 20-30 million either.

We need the money, but we shouldn't be offloading players that offer something. Casemiro and rashford need fecked out before him.
