Good game from Garnacho (although still missing a great chance), they gave him space and he will always be dangerous with space.

Still not really sure about him in this formation, clearly playing with two 10s the first half and then one 10 and a LW in the second, worked well today, but I don't think Amorim wants it to be the LWB that pushes into the 10s position.

Love this kid, he's shown real character after getting dropped, getting his head down becoming more a team player and learning the system. He's becoming a more complete player and mature player instead acting like a diva when played under ten hag thinking it was all about him.

if he can work on his finishing he will be some player in the future. Never lets his head drop when things don't come off and always in dangerous positions. He might not be a great dribbler but his movement and runs make up for that. Glad we didn't sell him to Napoli or Chelsea we would have had our pants pulled down.

Yeah, we're going to miss him if he goes. He's still very useful and seems to be understanding Amorim's system a bit better now.

I have noticed he is way less selfish and he looks to create for his team mates more. Good Amorim is getting through to him. I have no idea what the feck ETH was doing with him. Hope he stays

In a team with such upheaval and so many unknowns, you simply cannot start by selling a player of obvious proven talent. If our rebuild is truly depedent on getting 60m for garnacho, then we're so fecked it wont make a difference if we sell him. keep him until summer and if amorim feels its not working then ok, look at it, but selling in january would be idiotic.

Couldn't care less about the money, selling him at this point would be completely against what Manchester United is about. Simple fact is outside of PSR there is not one decent reason to sell him right now.

Did great tonight, he’s just dangerous and when the calmness in front of goal comes (and I think it will), more goals will come.

Still crazy people want to sell him.

Going to be world class.

I don't think he will necessarily, but I think the promising thing is more that he seems to have realised it.

He's not about to 'click' and be Ronaldo. He needs to improve steadily over the next three or four years through hard graft, studying his craft and listening to his coach(es). He needs to make the right decisions, on and off the pitch. He needs to understand what he can and can't do. He needs to deliver what is needed from him (chances and goals, most importantly) in order to stay in the line-up so that he can keep improving.

If he does all that, he'll be a very good player, capable of playing at any level. If he thinks he has the raw talent to suddenly bloom into a superstar, he'll miss the mark.

Him and Amad changed the game. He’s conducted himself very well with all this speculation around him and his future here.

He did well and was dangerous but I disagree that he’s “learning the system” or is suitable for it. He’s still way too wide playing like a winger. He got loads of space as they were tired, same as Amad.
I like him and I don’t want him to go in this window but I don’t think he’s gonna be a world class player in the future or anything - there’s too much missing to his overall game. He’ll still have a good career, here or somewhere else.
Where I sit on it is that we should keep him, see how he does with some of Amorim’s players around him and make an assessment at the end of the 25/26 campaign or January of that season at the earliest. That’s probably how Amorim would feel too but maybe his hand is being forced to make a choice now, who knows

Not for the first time either. When the two of them are on our wings our attack goes from championship level, to looking like a real Premier League attack. The difference is crazy.

Garnacho is our best player , second Amad third Ugarte . Always something happens when Garnacho in the balk very dangerous . Football the beautiful game is all about excitement and adrenaline to us fans .

Selling him would be crazy, whether or not he's gonna end up being a top player is yet to see, but he's young and has so much potential. Half our squad should be sold before we consider any offers for him

The key thing is he seems to have worked this out. The fantasy he was going to burst into life like a young Ronaldo was seriously getting in the way of him putting in the graft to start making actual progress.

He’s starting to adjust to Amorims system, playing well at the moment and is one of the only real attacking threats we have in the squad. I’d keep the kid until the end of the season at least, let’s see what he can do from now until then.Too late in the window to be selling him anyway, even if it’s good money we wouldn’t be able to get a proper replacement in.

Don’t disagree with that. He definitely works harder now and seems more humble with it. Think he was one of the players Amorim was talking about when he first came in and said something along the lines of we’ve been building these young players up too much (like over hyping them).
Having a great communicator like Ruben is helping Garna and all our youngsters

He's become really reliable going outside on his left and cutting the ball back, assist for Amad at Anfield, Mainoo tonight (and would have been another if Antony had a right foot!)

This ability to go both ways makes me think we should keep him because when we finally get any kind of competent striker his goals/assists should improve greatly.

He doesn't. The wingbacks have to hold the width, but you need a left footed wingback in order for this to work.

I can still see us potentially signing a right wingback in the with Kobbie and Amad becoming our two starting tens.

I'll give to him though, he is definitely adding to his game.

Reliable is quite an exaggeration, given he tries it repeatedly and it only occasionally comes off.

His biggest issue is that his greatest strength, running with the ball, is something he's only good at with his head down, which means his end product is lacking as he has to guess where his teammates are.

We've seen him recently trying to run with his head up to see the pitch, but he's almost always loses the ball that way.

Good second half.

It's these games where he can learn and improve, should have had another assist if Hojlund just held his run.
