His game is actually very basic; he gets high and wide up the pitch as frequently as he can. Nothing particularly flashy, but it’s so effective.
He’s relentless too so even when he’s not playing well he remains a threat
Him being unpredictable is his main strength.
Yeah, this is why I think he’s great. What he is good at is just horribly difficult to defend against.

Gets it, runs it like a bulldog and defenders haven’t got a clue what to expect. He’s brilliant.

Interested to see what you think EtH will look at improving with Garnacho?

These are key developmental years and I’m sure the gaffer will have a plan.

Off the ball tussles and movement will likely be the key areas of development for him, on the ball he's already playing at a level far above his age.

Could he possibly be the best one yet that’s come through?
Hard to say, what isn't hard to say though is that Garnacho has by far the best manager to guide him of our recent academy gems.

Weghorst mentoring assignment!

Very good point. He’s got the best chance possible. Oddly the last manager I would have said this under was LvG..

Can’t argue with that. It’s a shame greenwood messed up his career, think he could have reached a new level under ETH.

Yeah, agree with @AltiUn balance and manipulation of body weight — things that tend to come with age (and muscle) for players at his age.

Sample size is super low but his G/A is already super impressive. Keep pushing on that.

Away from that… honestly I think one big area will just be keeping him honest and “not believing in the hype.” Which is an area of development which is probably just as important as what he does on the field. Especially so young and impressionable

Real real sad what that cnut did. I think we would not be talking about needing a striker as I think he would truly shine under ETH. He fecked over that girl, united and his own career all in one!! At least Garnacho softens the blow a little..

All his goals and assists have been critical to this great run we're on. Magical kid.

Imagine what he would cost going off the Mudryk fee etc

Need the contract sorted as priority

Could have had a world class front 3 all from the academy :(

I think once he improves his upper body strength, which will come naturally, ETH will look to improve his movement to get him into positions which he can make the best use of his best attributes, his dribbling, directness and speed. He’s got the talent to be one of the best wide forwards around, it’s just about refinement now.

Finishing and Final Third Decision Making. Give him those and he’ll be a killer.

I think both are already pretty good, he's been unlucky not to score more than 2 already.

Yeah, I haven't watched it super closely, but I feel like he goes outside when the fullback gives that up and otherwise he comes inside, I think his decision making is really good for an 18 year old winger. Strength should come in time.

I just wonder how we keep him and Rashford happy in the long term since they both play LW
At some point Garnacho will want to start week in week out and unless Rashford switches to a more central position I can see game time issues in the near future

Finishing, he sometimes rushes it when close to goal but on the other hand for his age he's already pretty damn good even at that.

He will be very difficult for any FB to handle, he has all the attributes needed to be very good winger/wide forward. His work rate is very good, he is always on the move and stretches the play very well. He has excellent pace and when he is one on one with FB, he makes use of all possibilities.

He cuts inside, goes outside and plays the cross with left foot, also cuts back with his weaker foot. He is very difficult player to handle.

I've been thinking the same thing to be honest and slightly worrying when we're wanting to sign both Garnacho and Rashford up to new contracts with both in great form (although you could argue Garnacho is still a bit too young to be starting most matches and ETH has handled him brilliantly so far)

Flip side to that of course is top clubs need competition in each position and both players could thrive under ETH and that competition, I'm sure of that

He'll probably go though bad patches soon as any young player does in the development phase but what I really like is his on pitch attitude. Just seems to have that determination to make things happen. There's a level of stubbornness and self belief in everything he does

I have a sneaky feeling this is where ten Hag might envision him, I know we've had a lack of options but he's put Rashford there quite a bit this season, think he's trying to get him to re-learn the role.

Yep, most young players will come in and break through, then put under pressure and go through a bad patch. Luckily, the way Ten Hag is using him is very good, not throwing him in saying, you're the main man.

Also, we have Sancho coming back who can then take pressure of a little bit more

Incredible talent and the epitome of a Utd player. Need to get him locked down on that contract ASAP!

He's banned from RedCafe, is he not?
Have no clues. Will delete it if thats the case.

I have heard about Juventus rumors since the start of the season so not surprised.

I hope the club are typing up a new contract as we speak. Can’t be losing a talent like him, especially as it looks like we’re starting to build something special.

It's hardly news anyway, every top club on the planet will be monitoring an 18 year old who broke through at United, likewise if they broke through at Madrid or Barca.

Yes but we were dumb enough to let go of Pogba so kind of makes me worried.

Rumours he wants 40k a week, and we’ve offered 20k.

He’s on 7k atm apparently. For context Sancho earns his years salary in a week.

Pay him the £££.
