Adnan Januzaj

Yep everything seems positive from the lad.

If he was planning on leaving he would not be getting a sniff like Pogba at the end.

Januzaj seem's very at home here and is determined to do well.

Well it didn't make sense for Pogba either to leave the team with the weakest midfield among the top teams to join a team with one of the strongest. Januzaj seems different though, or so I hope, and he seems to be getting a look in the side from early on in the season, so that should ease away his fears. I just wish his contract was done and dusted, so that we could enjoy his progression without having to worry about another Pogba situation.

I remember after Ravel left and people were talking about how good Pogba was, I asked what kind of personality he is, and people reassured me that the fans have nothing to worry about in his case and that what happened with Morrisson wont happen with him. Would anyone have thought would have become such a feckwit constantly wanting out, say, 4 years ago? I've come to realise not to take anythign for granted with footballers.

I don't think anyone is saying that he's planning to leave. However, if someone like Barcelona come in for him before hes signed, it could be a bit of a worry, that's all. I just love watching a young star make it at United. What's more, this kid is highly technical and has a wonderful grace about him. I could watch him all day. I'd be more upset to see him go than a lot of our current first teamers.

To be fair, Pogba got short run outs in games that were either meaningless or already won. Januzaj seems more involved in our first team squad already. Moyes even mentioned how he was tempted to start him against Palace and how he would have featured more this season if we hadn't gotten such a tough start.

Pogba looked a bit shakey in his few first team appearances. I do agree with him that we should have shown more faith in him but he didn't look so instantly comfortable as januzaj did on the bigger stage.

There's no point in bringing in the best young talent on the market only to let it rot on the bench. I've never understood how the likes of Pogba and Januzaj were/are left rotting on the bench when our options are a nearly 40 year old player, Young and Friggin Anderson.

Moyes would not have played him if he was not sure the kid was going to be tied to a long term contract.

Is the first thing that came to my mind. The contract will come, don't worry guys.

As much as I love Giggsy, at the end of the season is the perfect time for him to move on into a coaching role.

Januzaj will be that bit more experienced, he may even be worthy of the 11 shirt.

How the hell has Januzaj been rotting on the bench? You are a peculiar man.

Worthy of the number 7 I think.

I'm surprised that so far non of our players has complained about all the rotting corpses of promising youngsters on our bench. The stench must be awful.

Would personally like to see him starting at Anfield in the CC.

He's the type who would go there and run the show and not give a feck about the crowd.

Yeah sorry my bad. Either way the point still stands. He just does not seem fazed which is exactly why he keeps improving so well.

What a player, get him that new contract pronto...

I've only seen the lad against Sevilla, Wigan and Palace.

What is his best position? He seems to be such a natural talent that he could play in virtually all attacking positions, but it seems a bit of a waste playing him on the flank. In fairness, he does play the role with good variety and drifts infield a fair bit too, but wouldn't we be better served playing him as a number 10 in the long run?

Looks a sure starter to me in CC. We play CL game tomorrow, then City away on wekeend then there is CC game followed by sandwich of league-CL-league and then players go off for internationals (2 games for most). Given such schedule, definitely Moyes will rotate almost whole squad for CC and if he was thinking about starting Januzaj in league game, he WILL start him in CC game, no matter the opposition.

I doubt he will play any part in the CL as I doubt this will be a group with any dead rubber matches. But can he play in it? Does he qualify for the B list?

In rules Section 18:16 and 18:17 http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/Regulations/competitions/Regulations/01/94/62/34/1946234_DOWNLOAD.pdf

18.16 Each club is entitled to register an unlimited number of players on List B
during the season. The list must be submitted by no later than 24.00 CET on
the day before the match in question.
18.17 A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 1992
and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted
period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with
UEFA. Players aged 16 may be registered on List B if they have been
registered with the participating club for the previous two years without
interruption.

Think he qualifies for the b list. But I was under the impression he would play a part in the youth champions league although I'd much rather he was involved against Leverkusen

I think it would be a case of getting carried away to think he will play in big CL games already. The CC will probably be the next time we see him.

Young and Valencia aren't very inspiring at present and Nani is suspended. He really should be playing in such situations

Come on, these are massive games. Not Crystal Palace. Any manager will choose the international players.

SAF started Nick Powell away to Galatasaray in last seasons group stages, so I don't think it's getting too carried away. Especially when you also consider that Moyes considered starting him in the PL on Saturday.

Obviosuly he won't start him, but he could be on the bench.

Not saying he should start but he really should be on the bench in case our wingers continue their recent form.

I'm not sure he even trained today so don't get your hopes up...

The key word there was "big" champions league games. What you just described was a dead rubber game if the group was wrapped up.

Yeah I'm aware of that. The point still stands regarding him almost starting a pretty important PL game though(following our defeat to Liverpool), even if it was against Palace.

It'd be nice to see him involved somewhat again.

It's exactly what you said, it's shit. Nothing to see here.

Moyes also says he's confident Adnan Januzaj about to finalise his new contract #MUFC

Moyes has just confirmed in the press conference that Januzaj will sign a new contract and he will be available for selection for the CL games in October because of the length of time he has been at the club.
