Adnan Januzaj Exit Speculation

We shouldn't sell him before the likes of Depay and Young.

The lad is very talented and still very young. With the EL and cups he would get lots of playing time.

If all those stories are true, seems like he has some bad advisors. Its weird, dont know whats really going on but it looks like his team around him trying to pull some con and use whats remaining of hype from 3 years ago to get somewhere, instead of getting back to earth, putting head down and work like never before and when they tell you "go somewhere where you going to play almost 100%" listen instead of acting like thats below you and choosing Dortmund for example.

Like i said, dont know whats really going on,have some issue when it comes to attitude but i really would like him to use his brain a bit, make right calls, work hard and i am sure that he would do good for us.Specially when he showed how much he likes United during his loan spell in Dortmund. So his actions are bit confusing.

Hope its a loan to Sunderland. It will

a) give him all the playing time with a manager that he showed his best form with

b) give me a reason to actually care about watching a Sunderland game.

c) if he turns out how we hoped we will have a class winger/AM from our own ranks instead of having to purchase one

@R'hllor it's so hard for us to know what he has been told by the club, past managers, or his family. Our club has let itself down the last few years, a lot has been sloppy. He's a young kid in need of the right kind of guidance and leadership. It's up to MUFC to find a way to transition these talented academy players into the first team. Every kid is different. Maybe Adnan is less emotionally mature or secure, or is struggling with the psychological side of the game and his own success. With all the club stands to gain by helping these young men, surely we can figure out a way to help them achieve the maximum their talent will allow. Our recent track record is very inconsistent, but it's one area where investment would pay dividends.

My concern is Sunderland would actually have a tough time surviving in the PL this season.I mean, seriously,Donald Love? It's a reminiscence of the time Fulham went for Tunnicliffe and Larnell Cole for me, except for both of them were better players.Would prefer him to go to somewhere like Bournemouth although I'm not sure how their current team is like.

actually you have a point. Bournemouth would be a good shout

I think we need to ship him on out. How I think the depth of the 3 behind the striker should look...

1. Martial - Pogba - Mhki
2. Depay - Mata/Rooney - Lingard

Do we really want to keep him on as a 3rd choice, especially since he seems to have developed a bit of an attitude problem?

Send him to a mid to low level PL team for decent money and see if he makes anything of his career there.

Don't care if we sell him or loan him. He isnt that good to be honest, looks more like a Chadwick than Ronaldo.

I'm sorry, but I automatically associate Donald Love with GTA III.

"Hello. My name is Donald Love. You're listening to a Love Media station. Enjoy!"

I don't really get why lot of people concern of getting rid Januzaj. He might have the talent but obviously have weak mentality.
The fact that he can't find favor with LvG (who actually played a lot of youngsters), Tuschel and now Mourinho shall tell a lot about Januzaj.

The comparison with Pogba isn't right coz Pogba actually proved United wrong by moving to Juventus and straight away became their star player which so far Januzaj failed to do.
If anything I think United shall get rid instead of loan. Will glad to be proven wrong tho.

Seriously apart from Moyes, he has ended up with falling out with every manager he has worked under
Tuchel, LvG, Wilmots and even Warren Joyce. Huge attitude problem.

I've posted this before, but he played when the squad was over in HK when Moyes first took over. Januzaj had not made it yet, but I had been following his progress in the reserves and watching his highlights. He played well, and scored 1-2 goals (I can't remember). The support were mainly United supporters - everyone player acknowledged the supporters - I was sitting behind the goals and Amos was the keeper that they - called out his name and he gave me a smile and a wave. Rafael and Rio didn't play a single minute threw his shirt in the crowd.

During the cool down, Januzaj was nearby and I yelled out Adnan - he looked up, me and the nearby supporters waived and cheered for him, and he just looks away and continues walking. It's not much, but from that moment, I had decided that he would never be a favourite of mine - and all these attitude problems does not surprise me a single bit.

I would have done the same thing when I was 18. It's incredibly harsh to judge him for that.

Really, I'd be condifent in saying McNair > Tunnicliffe & Januzaj > Cole. It's not even close in my eyes.

If you fail to improve LVG in 2 seasons and Mourinho is also not believing in you, you should go to another club. Louis was playing Rojo at LB for a whole season :nono:. Seriously, he has the talent but i keep hearing things about his workrate. The workrate that both Louis and Mourinho relie on. The basis of a system/philosphy. And one player that didnt do anything in the past 2 years is now humiliated? Thats low, very very low.
You do know players need game time to improve, right? When Adnan was played under LvG he played him as a wing back and he'd never played there before in his career. The minutes he got as a winger he wasn't too bad, he scored the winner in a 1-0 against Villa away then was loaned out straight after. Rojo was bought as he can play CB & LB, his main purpose this season is cover for Shaw at LB.

Young has perfomed better, although he is at an age where he will need to be phased out.

Depay doesnt look good enough for this level, and sadly Januzaj has shown nothing either to justify playing him over the last two years.

The Daily Star claim he feels 'humiliated' by Jose making him train with the reserves. So much so that he refuses to use the reserve changing room and arrives at Carrington either in his full training kit or gets changed in the toilets!

I just wish Adnan was given a couple of games as a starter to prove his worth in United. He was really our standout player in 2012/13 season but LVG's philosophy fecked him up and he lost his confidence when LVG started with the 3-5-2 and he was asked to defend as well. Not to mention his wrong decision to join Dortmund on loan which never worked out. He needs a manager who is going to trust him with games and allow him freedom to play with and I really hope the loan move helps him if he joins Sunderland. It would be shame to see such talent go to waste. He needs to work more hand because he has a lot of talent. And he needs a manager who will give him games.

I like Adnan but his attitude has really pissed me off.

Stop gurning and getting changed in the toilets, go out and prove your point in Sunderland and show why you should be starting for United.

I don't get it. Is being in the reserve changing room so humiliating for top flight players, or is the one at Carrington just bad/old/poorly maintained?

Corroborated by Paul Hirst

Loan him as he has showed ability in the past and that he has the potential to hold a squad place at United

The important thing is that he gets games where he goes....

Strange as we went through periods in the past where loan deals were very beneficial but some of our brightest like Rossi and Januzaj himself have suffered

Somewhere like Hull under Phelan (if that happens) might be good - Sunderland under Moyes an option... maybe Newcastle as they've a gap in their squad since Townsend left

I just think that's how Adnan was prior to his debut. When he would score a goal, he would just keep his head down and quietly go back to the United side.

A loan to Sunderland would be nice. He's had 3 or so years of stagnation with little to no consistency in terms of playing time, and I really want to see how he does after a consistent run of games allowing him to build off previous performances; good or bad.

Every newspaper in the country is running that story. I think his agent has spoken. I think we should let him go permanently with a buy back clause.

It's make or break for him at United now. This loan will decide whether he has the ability to form a key part of the squad or whether his level isn't quite to our standard.

Modern day players think they are entitled and deserve to be respected. He's done nothing of note apart from have 1 good string of games in a horrible Moyes side. We all wanted him to do well but he's just not improved yet, whether that's his fault or the lack of chances it's hard to say. He's clearly got the talent but he needs to play. That move to Dortmund was a ridiculous decision.

Hopefully Moyes can make him his focal point and get him playing regularly, but we know Jose doesn't suffer fools.

When it comes to going to Sunderland, a loan or permanent move should make absolutely no difference to Januzaj, other than he'll likely get paid more if it's a loan.

I think the story is a miscalculation by the Januzaj camp. He hasn't achieved enough to be deserving of sympathy.

Perhaps the leak is indicative of his inflated sense of status.

Been piss poor for over 2 years now and his attitude seems terrible, feck him off.

There are some player who can demand special treatment or mouth off - he's not one of them though. If he does not focus on playing football and improve, he wont make it here and instead of being loaned out, just be sold

Januzaj have talent, but talent doesn't translate to top player. Januzaj need to learn this or he will be a wasted talent like Ravel Morrison. A talented player should be the one that does the most work in training and listen to advice the most because more is expected from them.
