Adnan Januzaj Exit Speculation

I don't think there's enough money on the table to give up on him yet. You have to balance the chances of him succeeding with what we'd gain by letting him go, and £10m isn't enough.

10m is a very fair price for him. He's very much like Fischer. Had amazing potential, but at least with Fischer he had injuries as an excuse.

So we continue giving him £40,000 a week and not play him in the hope that his value goes up?

Just get him on loan, we shouldn't sell him. It's absolutely imperative to keep our talented kids, especially given he isn't even 23 years old to simply give up on him.

He should be loaned, not sold.

The smartest move would be a loan to Sunderland. Moyes trusts him and will play him and it could be his last chance to revive his career. His stock is incredibly low as it is, I doubt any good club will bring him in and give him regular minutes. If he succeeds at Sunderland, we'll either be able to bring him back as a productive player or sell him for more than we are now. If he fails, we'll hardly receive much less than we are now.

Yep. Considering shite like ibe went for 15m

The thing is all these inferior players give you excellent work rate. Teams like Bournemouth want you to first and foremost put in a shift rather than create goals.

In short, for smaller teams guys like Young are more valuable than januzaj

Hope it's only a PL loan, and he goes and lights up the league with that team. He has bags of talent. Needs someone who trusts him and gives him the opportunity to showcase it.

Encouraging to read that the club wants him to go out on loan rather than the transfer. One year of playing under Moyes could be good for him(let's be honest he's the only manager that has managed to get the best out of him).

His contract ends in 2018 summer? Then a loan doesn't make too much sense for us if he makes his name at Sunderland but refuse to sign extension next summer after coming back.

Some youth talents are not well mentored and they fail to put in the work necessary to really break through at the highest level. As talented as he is, gotta wonder if he's got the right mentality for the game - being discarded by two coaches who savor playing youth players not a good sign

If (big if) he's got what it takes to improve, I don't think he's in the right place for it as he won't and shouldn't be getting enough game time. Loans aren't always fruitful either, specially if their head isn't in it.
Probably best for both parties to leave with a buy back clause, as others have said.

I can understand the club not wanting to give up on him. But another loan is pointless. The club he's going to have to see the benefit of developing him or we could have another Dortmund debacle.
A sale with a buy back option is best for everyone.

Talented player. Bur so was bojan and he has found his level now. Can't be sentimental.

So maybe it's right time to review this again, is Januzaj the new Macheda?

I know maybe it's crazy to suggest this before, but come think of it, the only time he did play well was during his first half year of football. Followed by that, we have seen him play like shite for over 2 years of time, without any sign of improvement. Is he done?

Loan move followed by sell in case buying club is interested, or if he comes good then let's get him back for next season.

We have to look at Adnan and those potentially not much younger coming through and judge potential and personality. Adnan may have had a bad loan in Germany but was it United who chose Dortmund? Clubs like Dortmund want to bring their own in. Adnan has not won the trust of people - that he can be a productive player yet. He should understand this. It's happened to Depay and others. To be a top player, you need the right mentality so hopefully much of what we hear is rumor.

Mahrez only broke through at the age of 24, Januzaj has plenty of time to become a great player, however he desperately needs to play if it means he's off permanently than okay, if he's doing great we can buy him back in a few years time like we did with Pogba, just put in the buy back clause and that's it.. he shouldn't go for less than 15m though but I'd settle for 1é easily if it means he's guaranteed playing time which he might get under Moyes..

I can't see him getting a game with a team that isn't struggling. I'd be happy with a loan to someone like Everton, WHU or even Leicester though if it were possible. I rate him btw.

At Those clubs he wouldn't play anymore than he did at Dortmund

Leicester always played their strongest 11 last year, when available, so won the league. No way will they play a loanee. You'd need to find him a club where he'd be technically their best player. The only 2 PL clubs that come close to that are Middlesbrough and West Brom. Burnley have Gudmundsson, but are weak on dribblers having only Tendayi Darikwa who can do little else. All other PL clubs have technical players who perform better. Everton have Barkley and Deulofeu; WHU have Payet and Lanzini.

Looking at it again, based on making sure he'd be one of their 3 most technical players, the 4 best PL clubs for him are: Burnley, Crystal Palace, Sunderland, West Brom.

You'd think a replacement for Bolasie at Palace might make sense. Zaha and Januzaj potentially supplying Benteke sounds pretty decent.

Really hope we don't permanently sell him. A loan to Sunderland or another Prem club would be good.

Never mind 23... he just turned 21 a few months ago!! Jesse is almost 24 now and just got into the first team last season.

If Januzaj improves on loan and gets back on track, his potential will still be very high as he has a good set of raw skills which need to be polished with some hard work.

He's had 2 years of wasted potential. Before that he was the flavor of the year. I'd prefer us sending him on loan to a Prem club where he'll be a regular. If we end up selling him I'd hope we'd both get a % of his next transfer and insert a buy-back clause.

Best loan move I could have hoped for. A manager who clearly rates him and at a Premier League club. I was afraid we'd sell him now, but this loan move is make or break for him.

As much as I want to call it the perfect manager for Adnan to go on loan to, there were some things that I didn't like Adnan doing while Moyes was manager. First, Adnan started to gravitate towards the ball less and less as the season went on. Part of the reason why he had anonymous performances was due to him standing on the wing waiting for the ball to come to him when he should be getting the ball more and more. Secondly, either Moyes advised Adnan to start dribbling more or he did not correct Adnan. As I have said in the past, Adnan was always an intelligent footballer at youth level who only dribbled when he saw an opening. However, once Moyes came to the club, even at youth level, Adnan started going 1v1 more often. This has been a criticism of his for a while now and why Adnan's once intelligent footballer reputation has gone down the drain.

At least Moyes believes in him and will give him playing time though. For one reason or another, Adnan hasn't quite had that the past 2 seasons so it's important he starts to play. That's a big positive.

Agree. It'd be his last chance to prove he deserves a shot at Utd, though. Needs to prove he has the mentality to dig in & play for the team, not just himself. Moyes probably would get the most out of him THIS season, as he'll have an idea where he wants to use him instead of festering on the subs bench.
