Adnan Januzaj Exit Speculation

Quite happy with this loan move. Sunderland only have an 18 man squad as it is (20 including Goalkeepers). So I'm sure he'll get game time. It'll be a move that hopefully builds some character in him as he'll have never experienced anything like a relegation fight, bursting that extra yard to fight for every single point - so hopefully it'll do him some good.

Think him and Watmore could do some damage.

Add Khazri to their attack, and they may be able to stay in PL this year.

Adnan need a coach who give him confidence, and we all know to Moyes loves him.

So that move will be good for all the parts.

Just hope that the loan will be official soon, as he can be ready asap for them

Would prefer a sale but that will have to wait.

No point in a sale for such a low price tbh. 5 million would be as good as 10 so we might as well tae the risk and see if

A: he can take a step forward this year and impress enough to come back and stake a claim here.
B: he can impress enough to not warrant another chance here but raise his value by a bit.
C: doesn't show any progression and we can still sell him at a similar price to now.

Loan is a win-win. He has talent, no point giving up on him yet especially after none of our players outside of Martial, De Gea and Rashford really shone under LVG.

He isn't gonna make it here, that much is apparent and has been for the last two seasons or so. Whether that's due to his attitude I don't know, but he's firmly behind Mhikitaryan, Martial, Lingard and Young in the pecking order and rightly so.

People also love to berate Memphis and they've probably got fair grounds too, but those two are even on an even keel when ur comes to squad place. Pereira is a more exciting talent who I would rather see given an opportunity too.

To be fair, if mourinho doesn't rate a player then it's unlikely that player would ever be given a chance even after successful loans. Lukaku, de bruyne, Bamford, Kalas are examples with courtois an exception

Nah, what if he fully harnesses his talent and then we regret it circa Pogba? Let's see what he can do under Moyesy again. If he performs which I believe he will (he'll get consistent playing time, something he never got under LvG) then we have the power next summer. A loan within the EPL is a perfect circumstance.

Are Wes and John still at Sunderland? Hope they can give Adnan a few words on how to be a ManUtd players.

His contract ends 2018 summer, which may complicate the aotuation further.

It would be a very good move for him. Moyes really believes in him and he'll play regularly in PL. He'll come back as a much better player.

Mourinho has never developed a youth prospect has he?

He plays players irrespective of their age if he are convinced by them. If he isn't, unless they have a world class season it's unlikely he will put them in the team. This is what I think is his policy

If Moyes plays him, and he will, Adnan really will shine. It's time he reminds everyone of his talent. If this loand move is succesfull this will be his breakthrough season for sure.

A loan to Sunderland would be great imo. If he doesn't perform there, then it's unlikely he has a career at United. If he does perform well (as I think he will) I would hope he'd be rewarded by becoming a rotation player at the least. Good chance Wayne could be sold after this season so that would open up another attacking space in the squad and after that I'd imagine Memphis will be off without dramatic improvement which seems unlikely since he seems to be behind Rooney, Martial, Mkhitaryan, Lingard, Rashford, and Mata in the pecking order. There's the potential for Adnan to take a starting cam position if he performs well enough imo. He's one of the most talented youngsters I've seen at United so I'd be very disappointed if he didn't make it here. Way too early to sell him imo and I seriously doubt we're considering selling him right now.

I think loaning Januzaj will be a mistake. We should give him a chance on the flanks. He's better then Young and Depay

I would sell him with a 25 million buy back clause or whatever its called. Do what Madrid did with Morata and if he comes good then buy him back.

Now that it looks like it's actually a loan move and all the other stuff was bollocks, i can sort of understand this decision. I think Jose will weed out all the shite this year, and that won't take long. From there Januzaj has to get game time and show everybody what he can do again.

Next summer he'll come back and he'll then have chances with less squad filler ahead of him. I'll definitely be trying to watch Sunderland as much as possible this season. My prediction is that he'll do well there and by January this forum will be busy with people saying we should look to bring him back and sell Young/Rooney/Mata/Memphis or something like that.

Send him to Moyes. He'd guaranteed to play a full year in the Prem for a lesser side. If can't cut it there then he won't here either.

Hopefully he goes there. He needed a year long loan somewhere like that last year, where he can be in the premier league but playing consistently for a smaller side. If he impresses then perfect. If he flops, well then he maybe was just never very good in the first place yeah?

Hopefully it's just a loan spell. Manager knows what kind of player he is getting and player had already played for manager. On top of that I don't think they have very good attackers who can keep him out of the team.

Precisely. I really hope this loan works for all parties and he comes back to us a much stronger player.

Anyone know what sort of fee we'd get for a loan like this?

As whatever it is we've got about 5-6 players that will be in same position as Januzaj.

Just send him away. Loan/sell.. Not bothered he's got a weird cult like Lil B following and it's just annoying!

I for one apologise for my contribution to discussing Januzaj on a United message board, particularly in threads dedicated to him. I can certainly see how that would be annoying, and furthermore I can understand how you were forced to say as much in a thread about his impending exit.

Probably the usual - loaning club pays his wages in exchange for giving him experience by playing regularly.

I actually thought we may be able to demand some sort of loan fee for few of them, espcially Pereira and Januzaj.

If you fail to improve LVG in 2 seasons and Mourinho is also not believing in you, you should go to another club. Louis was playing Rojo at LB for a whole season :nono:. Seriously, he has the talent but i keep hearing things about his workrate. The workrate that both Louis and Mourinho relie on. The basis of a system/philosphy. And one player that didnt do anything in the past 2 years is now humiliated? Thats low, very very low.

These articles don't make sense. If he wants to leave and there's a total breakdown in the relationship between Jose and Adnan, then what's the point in loaning him if there's only one season left on his contract after the loan? If it's true, it's not likely that he'll renew with us, and we'd only either end up losing him for a severely reduced fee in the absolute best case scenario.

Well Pogba felt disrespected and came back to us a world class player. The signs are pointing to the right place for young Adnan, he'll come back a top player :smirk:

Ok seriously, papers are most likely talking nonsense once again and Adnan appears to have become a target for journo with this narrative about him having attitude problems which I don't buy. He'll go on loan which is a good thing for him right now.

They're obviously talking nonsense.

If he does well on loan then we will probablu get a better fee even with a year left than we might this season. Might convince jose too i suppose?
