Shaw offers the same possibility.One thing he offers is the possibility of playing as a right sided CB in a back 3. Dalot as a right wing back ahead of him.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ole implement this in some of the bigger games.

Have we signed him yet? I read conflicting information.
Think we're very close if Andy Mitten is to be believed.Have we signed him yet? I read conflicting information.
On the left hand side? Potentially, but I don’t think we’d play them both together like that. Maybe something like this in specialist games;Shaw offers the same possibility.

All of the top teams in europe since roughly 2008 have pushed their fullbacks high to join in with attacks. The Barca team, City, Madrid, now Liverpool. The best attacking teams have the best fullbacks generally, again its no coincidence. We havent had this for roughly the same time period, low and behold we havent been an effective attacking team during that period.
It would definitely give us a good option to close out a game but still remain offensive.On the left hand side? Potentially, but I don’t think we’d play them both together like that. Maybe something like this in specialist games;

Yeah, I’m thinking only in the odd game here or there, in Europe etc.I don't think we'd be playing too much of five at the back next season. Our best performances came with four at the back. I hope that's the case
I would like to see Wan Bissaka as a fullback who will provide an attacking outlet for us. He can for sure provide tactical flexibility due to his excellent defensive game. But the game has evolved to the point where it's a necessity for fullbacks to provide a threat going forward.On the left hand side? Potentially, but I don’t think we’d play them both together like that. Maybe something like this in specialist games;

Shaw's performances were so poor at the end of the season, like he was just going through the motions, I wouldn't be surprised if Young or Dalot take his position. Still think the club should have bought Alex Sandro last summer.One of the pleasing things about is that we won't be seeing Ashley Young playing in the team.
The dream is to get Sancho in front of him with license to just attack.
It's all about the accuracy of the crosses. Someone like TAA or Robertson for Liverpool, shows that you don't necessarily need big centre forwards or good headers of the ball to score goals.
Im not sure we can. Who do you realistically envisage us getting to 'fix' our attack. I am only seeing Maddison (cam) being mentioned as a froward so I'd love to know who these attacking signings are that are going to transform us. I dont think we will sign another winger or an attacker at all.We're that awful in defence though that us not going straight for an all out attacking wing back might not be a bad thing. We need to stop leaking goals so much. We can fix the attack with attacking signings but our defence needs to be able to keep clean sheets again
Unless the RW is Messi/Hazard, I seriously doubt he(Sancho etc.) is hardly going to be effective when he will simply be outnumbered/outpressed with no attacking outlet beside him. AWB seems quite average in terms of intelligent passing, hardly press resistant with average technical skills.My exact sentiments. Put a Sancho in front of him, will surely improve his attacking impact significantly. Think of all the spaces, offball runs, thread through passes and one-twos... Insisting on finding a 2 way fullback is easier said than done. We have neglected the right wing for years and its time we address that after this signing.
Would be buzzing if OGS gives him and Tuenzebe a chance together.. Shaw alongside a new CB who can lead them

We ain’t spending €100m on a cbThis please.
Shaw Koulibaly Tuanzebe AWB
DDG
Hopefully we can fool Inter into swapping Skriniar for Lukaku.We ain’t spending €100m on a cb
My secret dream for our CDs is in the next 1-3 years to have De Ligt and Tuanzebe. Both classy defenders that could form a partnership for 10+ years. Add AWB and Shaw or Tierney... I'll go back to FM nowI think Tuanzebe will surprise us this coming season. Although I do feel we need some leadership from the back in the form of a CB. If Koulibaly isn't available, we should go all guns blazing to acquire Skriniar and throw all the deadwood along with Lukaku to get him. His playing style is very Vidic-esque and looks like a leader.

Ignore the fee. The press just take any number and decide to go with it.So deal was first 50m, then it became 55m and now 60m.... Seems like the price keeps increasing by 5m over the course of 12 hours. 60m is way too expensive for someone whose not yet the finished article but in hindsight, can't wait to see someone else feature down the right hand side other than Mata, Lingard and Young.
If AWB is the starter, would that make Young or Dalot the first backup? Or will one of Young or Dalot be converted to RW? Dalot has very good ball skills and can whip in a good cross, which is why I suggest this.
Signing a really good, young, British fullback and at the same time ensuring that Young sits on the bench for his last season is something that should be winning universal Redcafe approval
This place is already shitting all over him before he even signed . These days even RAWK seems to be a significantly more rational place than here.From the Mitten article:
"United fans need to support him and not jump on his every mistake as he settles in on a far bigger stage. Fans at matches do tend to be far more supportive than online so he has little to worry about there."
