Books A Song of Ice and Fire (Books) | TV show? What TV show?

3 is definitely the best. 4 is definitely the dullest, but I still enjoyed it. 5 starts to pick up again towards the end I thought.

So I guess Strong Belwas and Coldhands have been "Tom Bombadiled".

And will the Kingsmoot stuff be shown soon? I quite enjoyed all that in the book.

Probably next season along with the dornish plot as well.

I wonder if they will cast all sand snakes or combine them into the same character like they did with Willas and Loras.

I think the problem with Coldhands is that we don't know who he is. It's not like with Whitebeard/Selmy where it's been revealed in the books already. Coldhands could be Benjen, or he could be an entirely different character. I imagine they'll be able to write him into the show later if/when it gets revealed who he is in the next book. He's not really an integral part.

I'm a bit gutted about Belwas, but I think there's still room for him to be introduced in the fighting pits. Not sure why they'd bother though.

This Coldhands = Benjen theory needs to die. It's not Benjen. No one is Benjen. He's gone.

It's possible they have simply removed Coldhands, since he wasn't really essential to the plot, at least so far. It's also possible that they'll be bringing him in later if he has a bigger role.

The talk in the TV thread just reminded me, didn't Danny get it on with that assistant of hers? Have we gone past that part in the books and have they just left it out?

The one she's with in the show is actually like 10 in the books, so no. They've killed off a couple of her assistants that are still alive in the books, so I have no idea if we've passed it or not.

I am done with that show. No Ser Pounce indeed.

I thought for sure he would end up marrying one of the dragons flying around Westeros bringing about justice for all and crispy baked dog for everyone.

How will they deal now with Robert strong? Everybody knows that he is the body of Gregor Clegane controlled by Ser Pounce.

Is Coldhands an Other though. Also it may be possible that they have fractions too (hopefully).

Agree, this theory is far less likely to happen then a full sclae war against them in the end. However - like you - I hope that they have more depth then just being the baddies like Orks and Uruk Hai on LOTR.
The humans are the "Orcs" of ASOIAF. The Others are the humans. They're marching South to stop the humans from destroying Westeros. All this is being manipulated by Leaf. Bloodraven is merely a tool of his/her.

Next episodes trailer has Dany asking if she has enough to men to attack Kings Landing, poor fools will start thinking it's going to happen.

Although, watching the last episode she probably will and end up taking the thrown before the books.

It was a different assistant wasn't it? Not Missandei?

Edit: Yeah it was Irri, who apparently has died in the TV show. They probably won't have it at all.

Ser Pounce controlling a Dragon and eventually claiming the throne. Make it happen HBO, make it happen.

Check it out the Ser Pounce action figures comes with a Tommen

Ser Pounce, the first of his name and Lord of the 7 kingdoms.
Or
Ser Pounce, Lord commander of Tommen's kittenguard.

I reckon Coldhands will show up in a few episodes time.

But Strong Belwas has definitely been Bombadiled.

I got excited when Meereen sent out their champion before remembering Belwas isn't in the show :(

That scene was pretty shit in the show. Somehow lacked any kind of tension or uncertainty. They quickly decided who should stand against him and then the new boring Daario just killed him in a second. Meh.

Yeah. Just like with most of her stuff. She's taking over cities without any sort of resistance or conflict. Makes for boring TV.

I wonder how Coldhands will be introduced in the show. He'll probably show up at Crasters Keep kicking ass and saving Bran before Jon gets there.

About a third of that was the pay off for the sideplot they made up, another third was 'Cerseis are people too', and the other third was good.

So will Coldhands just be dropped out of the plot completely? Definitely was a chance to pop him in this episode, and placing him in anywhere else would just be awkward and confuse viewers. Bit disappointed they didn't show Baelish's hometown.

I keep on waiting for bitch Cersie to appear and so far they haven't delivered. They keep on making her more sympathetic for some unknown reason. Other than that I didn't mind the episode.

Ignoring the various theories, colhands only purpose was to guide Bran to bloodraven. So I am not too surprised or disappointed they haven't included him.

The actress who plays Lysa Arryn is very good. Was great in the first season as well.

Fair to guess that Jojen's vision of his hand on fire is significant? Seemed like the show was hinting at his ultimate fate, no?
