Viserys Targaryen was in Doctor Who. He played the "Son of Mine" character in that episode that Tennant's Doctor turned human.
But that reminds me, my boss said the other day that her husband had told her that somebody in Game of Thrones was also in Lord of the Rings. I spend that afternoon driving myself mad trying to think who it could be. In the end I decided that maybe David Bradley had played Wormtongue (it was actually Brad Dourif).
It wasn't until the next day that I realised Sean Bean was the guy .
Any idea where to find all of the chapters thats been released of the new book online? I've only read the one about Theon, but I got told that there are plenty of new chapters that has been released.
Awesome, I hope that really it will be epic. And while I read the books, it touched me even more than the Red Wedding. Oberyn was a great character and shame that we didn't have more from him.
Just finished After the Feast, and the Winds of Winter excerpt. Not sure I can cope with the wait for the 'tentative' 2014 release date. I read that there's only Winds of Winter and one more after left. Danaerys better get a move on. I'm assuming at least one of the last two novels will be in two volumes just to fit it all in.
How do people think that will end Winds of Winter? I am pretty sure that something really big will happen. Fall of the wall, Daenerys coming into Westeros, full invasion of the Others, something like that. Thoughts?

I have been treated like a spoiled the red wedding, when my only 'spoiler' was that 'I like Jaime, and we don't know why he killed the mad king' before episode 5, a thing that I later apologized for saying.

With the Theon chapter included at the end of my copy of After the Feast being the only thing I've read from Winds of Winter, these are my predictions:
Daenerys/Tyrion/Selmy/Victarion: Dany's just come face to face with one of Drogo's old blood riders but with a dragon at her side. She seems to be starting to gain control over Drogon so I reckon she's going to head back to Meereen with Jhaqo(?)'s khalasar following her. Presumably the corpses mentioned with the trebuchets are those of the hostages taken by the Yunkish lords so that'll start the battle for the city. Tyrion, Mormount and Penny will be involved on the wrong side but I imagine the two dwarves are going to survive and end up with Daenerys come the end of the battle. I think one or both of Mormount and Selmy will die, probably Selmy, and Mormount will try and return to Danaerys' side. Victarion will arrive in the bay during the battle and win the battle at sea. I think Daenerys will arrive on the back of Drogon during the battle for the city, Jhaqo's khalasar with her, and smash through behind the Yunkish forces. Rhaegon and Viserion are probably going to be causing all sorts of shit during the battle, but I don't think Victarion will use the horn against them because at the moment Euron's still alive. No idea what's going to go on with Hizdhar or the Tattered Prince. Following the battle I think Daenerys is finally going to head for Westeros with Victarion's fleet and Tyrion seized as a prisoner. Daenerys might hear of the slavers going to Hardhome way up North and decide to head there where Brann might get whiff of the dragons.
Arya: Finally becoming a facechanging killer. Still not sure if she'll remain in the church of the Many-Faced God though. I can see her stowing away with Daenerys' lot, or maybe even being involved in a contract to kill her/Tyrion. Presumably she's going to have to become integral to the main wars at some point.
Cersei/Margaery: Robert Strong is going to turn out to be The Mountain, but as a zombie, they've not really been too subtle about that I don't think. He'll win Cersei's trial by combat and she'll get shipped off to Casterly Rock. Margaery will be found innocent by the faith and Cersei will start to flip again, especially after the death of her uncle, which will probably be blamed on the Tyrell's. Tommen's going to stay king but everything he does will be done under Margaery's influence.
Nymeria/Doran/Aegon: Nymeria's going to King's Landing so she's going to get there and find that The Mountain's still alive and tell Doran. Dorne will raise their army against the throne, and probably join Aegon and the Golden Company. Daenerys is going to arrive at some point but as both her and Aegon want the throne I don't think they'll join forces at first, if at all. Aegon's heading for Storm's End so that'll provide a distraction for Stannis. The Tyrell's might also use this as an excuse to split from the Lannisters and blame everything regarding the Mountain on them. They've also made comment about how Aegon's lineage is still uncertain so unless Daenerys agrees to mrry him he's unlikely to get the throne with out at least Dorne's backing. Myrcella will be forced into marriage with Trystane keeping her away from Cersei and probably bringing some of the Lannister banner men onside.
Stannis/Theon/Asha/Ramsay/Jon: Winds of Winter spoiler inside, not sure if we're supposed to be tagging these so I'll spoiler the first part for now
Half of Bolton's force is on its way to attack Stannis but some of that force is made up of Manderley's men. He'll join Stannis and they'll head back to Winterfell, possibly with Ramsay as a prisoner, and defeat the Bolton army.
Stannis is going to want to burn Theon for being a traitor and killing a load of innocents, but I think Asha will attempt to save him but I don't have a clue what could happen then. Probably get killed knowing G.R.R Martin. Jon's just been stabbed but I think Mellisandre's going to save him. The wildlings and the watch are probably going to end up fighting, completely depleting the wall's strength. Stannis is going to have to head back there but Aegon's going to be marching on Storm's End which might just leave the wildlings at the wall. Manderley's going to tell Stannis about Davos and remain at Winterfell until Davos returns with Rickon. Mellisandre's going to see that Daenerys is on her way and maybe realise that Stannis isn't her great hero reborn, then she'll try and manipulate Stannis into going wherever Daenerys goes.
Davos/Rickon: Davos is going to spend the whole book looking for Rickon and probably get captured again.
Brann: At some point he's going to have to get involved with the dragons. If he doesn't I don't really see the point of him being a really powerful warg. I think his mate coldhands is going to turn out to be Benjen Stark turned white walker.
Sam: Not really sure what he's going to be able to do of any use other than find out about the white walkers.
Sansa/Littlefinger: Littlefinger's going to get Sansa onside to marry that knight and end up trying to make her marry him in attempt to claim Winterfell as his own. Robert Arryn's going to die during the winter so Littlefinger will hope to rule both the Vale and the North.
Brienne/Jaime/Catlyn: Brienne's going to lead Jaime to the Brotherhood and Catlyn's going to want Jaime dead. I think they'll be allowed to try and find Sansa.
I would have expected them to cast someone with darker skin given that the Martells are supposed to be noticeably darker than pretty much everyone else in Westeros.
not sure about him but then again they've nailed pretty much everyone so far. The only casting I really don't like is Stannis. John Snow is pretty crap as well.

Forgot about Daario, but he's pretty much unanimously hated in the books so no one was going to like him for the TV show. I also liked John in season 1 but went off him a bit in season 2 and now he's a complete pansy.

Daario's also another example of them casting someone white when they should be much darker skinned. He also doesn't have his colourful beard, or any beard for that matter.
With the Theon chapter included at the end of my copy of After the Feast being the only thing I've read from Winds of Winter, these are my predictions:
Complete speculation on my part (I haven't read the new chapters):
Bran definitely has to be important, though unlikely I wouldn't rule our him being the main hero of the saga (unlike Jon and Daenerys who seems certain to be the most important part of it). With his powers growing he will be really powerful. I dunno the intention of BloodRaven but he seems to be a good guy (it's interesting that if you have read Dunk Egg books that are prequels to ASOIAF about a hundred years before, there is a backstory about BloodRaven). Hopefully he's not going to chose the Others though. Danny will definitely either start the journey or arrive at Westeros and I'll bet that at some point she's going to meet Arya. Arya could easily be in a mission to kill her though I don't think that she'll do it. Danny will met and possibly join forces with Victarion, no doubt about that. Tyrells are dead cert to get the control of the throne on the next book. It will be interesting what will happen with Sam. Him being met with Jagen H'ghar isn't a coincidence. His father is also on the road for KingsLanding. Could be interesting if he will have a similar chance like Arya with Jagen and ask him to kill his father. Benjen Stark being Bran's zombie friend is a good shot, didn't think before about that. I believe that Aegon is really Aegon, though there is the possibility of him being Illyrio's son and Varys nephew, if that is then Varys is really playing the game of thrones for selfish reasons, not the good of the realm. Jon will be incapacitated for some part and will probably live inside Ghost until Melisandre resurrect him. Ser Gregor surely is the new big warrior, returned bu that new Master on Citadel that came with Jaime.
Would be interesting to see how the prophecies will get linked. My bet is that Jon is Azar Ahai, Danny is the prince who has been promised and Aegon could be the third prophecy that I don't remember correctly.
I think that this book will be the final part of game of thrones. The last book has to be more about the big problem, the invasion of the Others which makes game of Thrones looks very minor and irrelevant.
Finally, interesting to see who will die. Something important has to die. Baelish could be a shot, probably he'll realize sooner that Sansa is still a Stark. Sweet Robert cannot survive on that cruel world, while Thommen and Myrcella's days are numbered too. Would be interesting if Jaime will survive from Lady Stoneheart or will she forgive him. 'Jaime Lannister send his regards' Bolton said in the books, Catelyn surely remembers it well. Jaime the has most chance of being the big death of the book, with one or two Boltons dying too (Manderly is loyal to Starks and he surely killed the three Freys, remember the pies). I hope that both Selmy and Mormont survive the book, but one of them will probably die.
Anyway, I think that the atmosphere for the last book will be terrifying. Winter will be there, more cold than ever, Danny arriving with dragons and probably with Victarion's forces too, Aegon having Stormhold and Dorne, Lannisters finally realizing what is 'The Rains of Castamere' on their skins (all but vanished though there is the possibility of the other Tywin's good brother returning) and Tyrells despite being the most important and powerful family in Westeros, now losing ground and control. Stannis is meant to die somewhere and him and Jaime could bring enough shock for the mandatory big deaths. In the end the wall will fall making the perfect environment for the Other's full scale attack.
And then the final book will be entirely about the final war for Westeros, when I can easily see the heroes (Danny and Jon) dying to survive the humanity. While Tyrion is not the hero of the franchise, he could easily be the most important person, linking all things in one way or another. He's a good person, smart and has or will soon have some relations with many of the players. He'll also have his vengeance on Cercei and will kill her. Also, one of the most interesting parts for me is Varys, he manipulated almost everyone and would be interesting to see if it is for selfish reasons or for greater good. 50-50 for me at the moment.
Seriously considering making another read, some months before the new book is published (hopefully next year)

I think you could be right about the next book wrapping up the game of thrones side of it but I'd say that would mean it'll definitely come in two volumes like Storm of Swords and Dance with Dragons.
I don't think Bran's going to be one of the heroes but I think he'll definitely end up doing something with one of the dragons, or possibly even some white walkers. We'll find out what the greenseer's purpose is soon I think, and Bran might have to use his powers to defeat him in some sort of tree battle.
I think Daenerys is going to be Azar Azhai but there's obviously something important about Jon because he keeps appearing in Mellisandre's visions. If Jon is Azar Azhai it'll probably confirm the theory about Rhaegar and Lyanna being his parents, but it's been said multiple times how much he looks like Ned so I wouldn't have thought that to be true. I don't think the Azar Azhai thing is three separate prophecies either, and I think Daenerys has the best match out of all the possible candidates. I also think her three betrayals are done with now so we can move on from that. If Arya does meet Daenerys after being sent to kill her I don't she'll do it, I do think they're destined to end up together though. It occurred to me that she might end up disguised as Penny trying to kill Tyrion. I think Daenerys is definitely going to have to join forces with Victarion, not only because she needs a fleet, but also because he's got a horn that could steal one of her dragons away from her. I don't think they'll get married like Victarion thinks though, and Daenerys might be immune to the burning affects of the horn so might be able to use it to tame her dragons. She has been warned not to trust the Kraken or the dark flame though, so she might decide against it all.
Now we know that Varys is capable of far more than previously thought, I think he might have hired Jaqen to kill Robert, only for Cersei to sort it out first. I think it might also be possible that Jaqen was kicked out or left the House of Black and White and is now using all of his skills to act out his own contracts or personal revenges, something I think Arya might start doing. I don't think Sam will use him to kill his father even if he is given the opportunity to name someone. I think it's more likely that he'd use it for someone relatively unimportant, like Arya did, if that opportunity arose.
The only part of the Benjen being Coldhands bit that bugs me a little is the fact that Coldhands said that he was Bran's monster, which I took to imply that Bran was responsible for him being in his zombie-like state, but could also mean that he is there to serve Bran, which would makes sense if Benjen recognises him.
I think Aegon is Aegon, I just wonder if anyone will truly accept that considering he was supposed to have been killed as a baby. He's obviously going to be important to the story but I don't think he'll end up on the throne.
Jon knows he has some warg ability so if he ends up inside Ghost for a bit it would truly awaken it, which might mean him controlling a Dragon at some point in the future, something I imagine will be especially useful against white walkers.
Jaime might be the death but I think Littlefinger will try for too much power and end up being killed, possibly by Brienne, with Jaime and Brienne then bringing Sansa to Catlyn/Lady Stoneheart. Cat might then kill both of them anyway, possibly just Jaime, for failing to bring back Arya as well.
I'd be very disappointed if Daenerys died. I'm not really sure what the point of the series will have been if she doesn't end up on the throne. Come the end I expect Daenerys on the throne, Sansa ruling Winterfell with new laws in place regarding succession, Bran ruling the lands North of the Wall as greenseer, Jon probably being dead having restored peace between the wildlings and everyone else, Aegon being Daenerys' hand or something, Tyrion being given Casterly Rock, Cersei being dead, Sam either being dead or returning to the wall, the Tyrell's fleeing back to Highgarden with Margaery possibly being dead or remaining as some sort of hostage in King's Landing, I expect Myrcella and Tommen to survive but with Tommen being sent back to Casterly Rock and Myrcella remaining in Dorne having married Trystane. I wouldn't be surprised if Jaime and Brienne were both killed. Arya will probably end up doing her own thing back in Braavos after it's all done. If he helps Daenerys I expect Victarion to be given the Iron Islands and Euron, Theon and Asha to all be dead.

I think that BloodRaven is not evil and he only called Bran cause he has the potential to succeed him. He surely must have a plan too. Anyway, Bran has crossed the line several times until now, eating human flesh while he was on Summer and controlling Hodor just for fun. The worrying part is that with his ability increasing, soon enough all people can be Hodor's for him.
Jagen being in Citadel is interesting, and surely there is a reason why he killed that guy I forgot his name, got the key that guy has stolen and changed the face when he met Sam. Definitely something going on. Your theory about Varys hiring him to kill Robert could be interesting and have something true.
Price who has been promised and Azar Ahai doesn't need to be the same person. In fact neither one of them doesn't mean to be the same person. It could be that both Danny and Jon are both the prince who has been promised and Azar Ahai. Or more likely (at-least for me) Jon being Azar Ahai and Danny being prince who has been promised. Dunno whom Jon has to kill though.
Jon looks like Ned cause Ned is his uncle, doesn't mean that Ned has to be his father.
I think that both Danny and Jon will die, but only somewhere in the end of the last book. I think that more likely they are the main heroes and the saga will have a bittersweet ending.
Bran will definitely have a bigger role in the next books. He either will control a dragon, or go evil and control whitewalkers. The first option more likely IMO. Could be something entirely different, but bar Danny who has dragons, he is the most powerful person in the saga.
Catelyn will kill in the end Jaime. It will be the next big shock. Like anyone else, when people behave honorably they'll end beheaded in these books. Jaime has been transformed from someone evil whom everybody hate, to one of the most favorite characters. We know what happens next. Especially considering that for whatever reasons Bolton said that 'Jaime Lannister sends his regards' in the Red Wedding. Catelyn having her revenge. Bitch!
Prediction about the throne (if there will be one):
Iron Throne: Aegon as King, Sansa as Queen. The game of thrones finishing similarly to how it began, a Targaryan prince marrying a Stark 'princess'
Casterly Rock - Tyrion, after he finishes Cersei.
Winterfell - Rickon, cause Bran is now an omnipotent tree
Iron Islands - Victarion
Stannis is hard to know how he'll end. Likely dying but that means that Baratheons are ended, unless one of Robert's bastards continue them (Gendry marrying Arya?).
Hard to predict what will happen with other main families.
A few of my predictions for the series, some are probably very obvious.
1. Jon is dead but will be resurrected.
2. Neither Jon Snow nor Daenerys will end up on the Iron Throne. Daenerys will fall in love with Jon.
3. At some point Jon will have to make a decision between his Targ heritage and Stark nature, Stark nature will win out.
4. Daario Naharis will betray Daenerys.
5. Daenerys will have a child.
6. The series will end with a Stark Queen, almost certainly Sansa.
7. Sansa will kill Littlefinger, or at least have him killed/allow him to be killed.
8. Both Tommen and Myrcella will die. Cersei's descent into madness will continue. Jaime will kill her.
9. Theon will rule the Iron Islands, Rickon will rule in Winterfell.
10. Aegon isn't really Aegon.
Mark Gatiss (League of Gentlemen, Sherlock) has been cast for series four. It hasn't been announced who he's playing yet but the speculation is he's Mace Tyrell.
If he is Mace Tyrell, they might be going down the route of a skinnier appearance so viewers don't confuse Mace with Wyman Manderley, who will probably get introduced in the series after this. We know how the writers have chopped and changed characters who they thought might confuse or not sit right with the viewers. And these are two characters who so far have had 'relatively' little narrative so far in the books, but who I feel will both have big parts to play in books to come (especially Manderley).
