Television 24

To be brutally honest, I have been bored by this season. I am considering stopping watching it on the telly and waiting for the boxset to come out. I'd probably enjoy it more if I could watch it in the space of a few days rather than over the course of 4 months. It is pretty boring so far and I'd never thought I'd ever say that about 24.

Better episode but still pretty rubbish.

What's the deal with that operative that Cole did up properly in the lift?

I can't believe that a high-security organisation lets its members roam freely during a nuclear crisis - how the heck does Dana get away with it? It all sounds really implausible and it's rather annoying.

And what's with these drones? I keep getting the feeling they're part of something more and it all points to Arlo having a deeper role, although I suspect it's only because someone is going to kill him off some time.

Better episode than the rest
At least now the story has developed with Bazaev being arested and his son being the main nuclear rods seller. It's depressing to see that the better scenes are the ones with Jack only. The rest is meh.
Arlo is fecking a little piece of shit.

A couple key observations from me:

Hastings sounds like Lt. Cedric Daniels from The Wire.
Fahad looks like Lester from Chuck.

As everyone says it was better than the rest, still missing something though. The scenes with Jack were good. Whats up with that young kid in the tactical team though? Random scene with Ortiz doing his clip up and then it showed his face in the van with some dramatic noise when they arrived at the truck site, weird.

It has been a rubbish so far. It is almost as if they deliberately set out to make a bad season this time to kill off any chances of a renewal by FOX.

In 4 episodes they have managed to turn Renee from a chainsaw brandishing maniac to a something equivalent of crying 8 year old girl. Talk about an own goal.

I don't even know what to say about that Dana storyline. It is torture to watch any of it.

I didn't understand that, they showed the guy about 3 different times, with a lot of intense music, then he just goes?

Freddy Prinze jnr school of acting

For any mood possible, pull an expression like you just smelled a fart in an elevator

Next one out yet? Not that I'd want anyone to help me out by directing me towards a download link or stream or anything. :)

Plot transition episode, but a bit lame in my opinion with people getting killed left and right.

Really pissed that they devoted this much time in this episode to the Dana subplot.

Quick poll: Which character do you hate more, Dana Walsh or Kim Bauer?

At least Kim Bauer is/was hot...Dana does nothing for me.

Was ok to decent.
But if it does not pick up in next 2-3 episodes and I might stop watching this season all together.

Unbelievably rubbish ending. Poor episode - could see it all coming.

They spent too long on a subplot that shouldn't have been aired (Dana).

They said this season would be "closer to the heart" and "emotional" - well, it's really annoying, so they were telling the truth!

Moan, Moan, Moan.

The good thing (great) is that the Dana subplot is over. That was a pretty good kill by Cole aswell.

Flashbacks to Jack in S4 taking out the guard and entering the room. Loved the way he grabbed the woman by the throat - crazy kunt.

It was very 24 of old this episode in the way they just started the episode with a bang. Bazhaev's son getting killed like that was great.

Not sure I get the logic of them setting of a bomb in New York, as Farad said it would only destroy them, oh well terrorists on 24 for you..

It was shit

Really disappointed in this season, seems a bit slapdash to me

Glad its the last season if this is what they are gonna serve up

 One is awesome and important in terms of the backdrop for the rest of the show. Do not skip it!

season 1 was great and is definitely one of the best seasons, if he watched it from the others and decides he wants to go back to it then all the decent twists in season one would be ruined and wouldnt have the same impact

Cheers, guys! Was perusing this thread recently and decided to buy season 1 on the strength of reading these posts. I've just finished watching and it's brilliant. I haven't been as gripped by a TV show for a very long time.

another poor episode, plot didn't go anywhere major. So much potential for explosions but didn't deliver

People are just mind-blowingly stupid in this show. Farhad can barely walk and he knows CTU are only a couple seconds away so he naturally decides to make as much noise as possible when he tries to limp away right in front of the man who is searching for him.

Stupid.

I am struggling to see how they are going to rescue this season now. Every single arc they have going right now is boring.

A poor episode but believe it or not I think it was a bit better than the rest in general.
I for one hope they set the bomb off and that no one stop it from happening. It would bring some change of pace to a very dull season so far.The sad thing is that we're almost halfway through, if they don't up the tempo and action very soon then I don't know when they will.
Farhad is an idiot, his brother even, Kayla is hot and the rest of the cast is really really terrible except for Jack and Chloe.

it really is shit. I've given up after just 4 episodes and looking at the threads here, its probably not worth picking up again. Shame. :(

The burn notice episode already aired.

Think he will only be called in if this is the final season. Supposedly writers have not written the final arc yet in case they have to pass it on as series finale.

Better episode, I think the next one has the potential to escalate to fix the poor episodes prior.

Interesting how two CTU agents are able to spend several hours shooting two citizens and disposing of their bodies during a nuclear crisis and their own command centre has no clue of where they are.

Would have been more interesting if, say, some drunk guy spotted Dana and Cole disposing of bodies though, or something. It can't be over now.

Good ep IMO. Not great but moved the plot forward. A bit predictable up to the part where Jack couldn't save the kid, although I was kind of expecting a sniper to take out the mom. Seems a bit idiotic to go through the whole charade of Taryn's a good guy, now he's accused of being a bad guy, oh I made a mistake and I'm sorry, oh he really is a bad guy I was right all along. Reminds me of Nina.

Nice to have Chloe running tactical again though.

In comparison to the rest it was a much better episode and jveezy said the pace was faster and it took the story forward.I expect the kid to die but not by the bomb but by a sniper.I thought his mother was unconvincing, like she really wasn't shocked (not great acting).
This Dana Walsh plot still takes too much time on the episode and did they really need to bring up that probation officer :wenger: ?
