Television 24

agreed on the better episode front, i didnt expect the kid to die weirdly. But its opened up a possibility to 2-3 really explosive episodes, hopefully it picks up pace now

I thought it was the hilarious when they did the usual split screen before and episode ends; first we see a distressed Kayla, then her worried mother, then CTU in full swing and then the probation officer. It didn't quite fit the mood.

With Kim I think you had a "she's annoying but she's pretty hot and she's also pretty" vibe to go along with the character. When Kim was in trouble, as dumb as it was for her to get into the situation, she at least looked like a damsel in distress. I don't get the same vibe with Dana.

I don't know if it's just me or if I'm turning gay or what but I keep trying to see Dana as "hot" and I just can't. Yeah she has nice curves, but to be honest, to me Dana has a face that makes her look the very character of a dumb-ass, whiny CTU agent who can't do her feckin job and drags everyone else into her problems by making them cover for her because she's not where she's supposed to be when they need her. So that only compounds the problem of her being ... well ... a dumb-ass, whiny CTU agent who can't do her feckin job and drags everyone else into her problems by making them cover for her because she's not where she's supposed to be when they need her.

Is it wrong that every time she and Chloe stand next to each other I think Chloe's the hot one? Yes. Chloe. She of the face resembling a potato. But if she has the face of a potato then Dana has the face of a bulb of garlic with those ridiculous cloves sticking out.

 Yeah I noticed the sweaty, tired probation officer too. Either that guy is going to play a larger role than we think, or the actor hired to play him drastically overacted his role.

Spoilers jveezy!

Dana's face reminds me of how some women in movies look like when they wake up hungover and tired with pug-eyes. Kind of like that reporter Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales slept with...

:nervous:

I suspected Taryn a few episodes back, picking up the pace a bit now

I don't know what you guys thought

but I thought that was a PROPER episode!

I have to admit I was absolutely played by the writers. Taryn really loves her! He's gonna save her! Oh look I was right! See there they go. Of course he's going to die that's what always happens.

WRONG, BITCH!

Oh that's a bomb. It can't be that big. That tunnel has to be pretty well structured. They just have to get everyone out of there.

WRONG AGAIN, BITCH!

EMP MOTHERfeckER!

Loved it!

I can't wait for next episode now.

Although I hope the other thing with Starbuck and the ex-boyfriend is going somewhere, because that is really bringing this season down. She is horrible, and shouldn't be allowed in public, nevermind on TV.

Took us 12 episodes for a proper 24 epsiode! That was good.

just average

i think we've been so bored by the tedium of the previous eleven eps that number 12 seemed a good one, while in previous seasons, it would have been merely average

Oh now you're just getting picky.

Edit: In previous seasons it was much easier to please us since we hadn't seen all this stuff before. They could've thrown anything dramatic at us and we would've loved it. This time they took the fact that we had seen it all before and could predict everything and used it against us. That's why I think it was so brilliant.

no i usually agree with you jv, but it's just more of the same ( in my humble opinion )

it's been done before, and better.

Epic. Couple of twists, some shock in there too.

Roll on the next one.

Loved Jack's reaction at the end. Chloe did you get that? CHLOE!!

Btw, that annoying parole guy looks just like Tom Greenes dad in Freddy got Fingered.

his character is also quite annoying. I mean he can get access to CTU during a crisis and can wander around inside without security? feck off! No wonder the place keeps getting targeted. Its up there with a previous season when the terrorists came in through underground tunnels. Laughable.

If i see any more scenes with that blonde tart and Mr Stapler im gonna cut my wrists

Great episode.Now that's 24 is all about.
Loved the Tarin plot because for me it seemed weird when Tarin said "let's go to Kayla" in his fake attempt to escape with her and the EMP coup.Very well set up
How fecking stupid was it from the guard to think he could move the car when the EMP is about to explode.

The EMP blast was really well done IMO.

i must be hard to please then!
Same.

CTU has been attacked before couple of times. So this is nothing new. This episode was up to acceptable level, that's about it. Compare this season to last one. By 12 episodes you had Tony back, awesome character in Renee introduced, white house breached, President hostage drama, Bill's sacrifice etc. And that was all without even featuring one of the best villains in 24's history, who arrived after this arc.

yes this is the thing isn't it? no great characters - that dana piece, oh my god!!

EMP!!!

Conveniently wiping out the incriminating evidence against Dana, meaning the cover up will continue and stapler man will have to find out some other way.

Half expecting him to bump into Arlo at the urinal and for him to let slip that he saw her in the car park with him earlier that day.

The stuff with Tarin/Kayla was decent though. Kayla's beautiful. So guess who she's going out with. That's right. MORRIS!

What a legend. Unbelievable. Kinda like if Nina was to marry George Mason.

No wait, that happened too!

if only there were still in 24!

I enjoyed that.

Love that Renee is back in the field. Glad the plots finally merged although it was slightly predictable because really what else could they do at that point. Good to see badass Chloe.

Expect a Jack-v-Nina-esque showdown between Cole and Dana by the end of this season.

RIP Stephen Root who always manages to get shoved into some random corner of the building no matter what role he plays.

Also it was sad to see the kid agents taken out, although more sympathy for Owen than the annoying guy who blew the wedge. If Bauer tells you it's going to work, then don't tell him it's not going to work, because really, it's going to work.

What can I say ? A nice episode but so many things wrong with it, like those idiots who aren't listening to Jack when he gives them orders and as always they wind up dead.
I never expected Dana to be a traitor (I suspected Arlo) but it's a "classic" 24 move after the EMP bomb. That stupid parole officer couldn't leave could he ? Who's that fecking dumb to conduct investigations at 2:00-5:00 am about a convict :wenger: ? You should have left you fat fecking pig
Anyway the quote of the episode has to be for me the "I'm not good with praise" from Chole as I really liked all of her scenes as well the reintroduction of Renee

Did not expect that.

Even after Dana had killed him I still didn't expect her to be working with Samir. "I believe you have my staplarrghrrhhhh!"

Good ep.
