Television 24

Two really good back-to back episodes.

- The shoot-out at the warehouse/dock was brilliant, more realistic in the sense that not everyone got hit from hundreds of yards out. Loved what he did with the armoured pads too. I wanted the kid to at least survive after hero'ing it out there and bringing back his partner.

- Hastings is the man. Really liking him more and more, Chloe was brilliant too, not sure how exactly Renee managed to locate them (I suppose the obvious gunfire?) but she kicked some serious ass.

- Dana being the mole? Am I forgetting something or did they say previously that there was definitely an internal mole? Still glad she took out that bug eyed, stapler loving fat feck. CTU has just been hit by a bomb and he still pesters them. IRL I would say there would be no chance of that guy being allowed back in the building. (unless he never actually left in the first place).

Can't wait to the next ep.

A sad day, though I do think the show has run it's course.

A shame, Seasons 1 - 5 where superb.

7 was immense, too.

It's sad this is but, even though I still love the show despite the current weaker series, it is getting very easy by now to predict the outcome of situations in the program. After watching the 4th season of the program, I have to admit that Dexter has now surpassed 24 in my opinion, as hard as it is to admit. To be fair though:
That was fecking immense when the car was used as an EMP. The whole Taran situation there was a complete headfeck, and was one of the few things from the series so far that I never predicted to happen. He's a fantastic actor and all, though I can't shake the feeling that he's actually Syler made to look slightly more foreign.
Also:

That was another good episode. We were shown signs of Dana being a bit loopy and evil with the whole gun episode, as well as the various prison references, but I don't think anyone expected her to be that calibre of arsehole.

Aw shit here we go.

Pretty sure the bomb plot will wrap up within the next episode and the plot will transition into conspiracy/coverup.

FAO overseas viewers and anyone watching via a downloaded/streamed episode who didn't get to see a promo: next week (April 5th) there will be two episodes. The first episode ends at 9pm Eastern Daylight Time (same time House usually ends, 02:00 British Summer Time I think). Second one an hour later.

Decent episode, but anyone think that for all the military prowess Jack and Renee overpower the soldiers a little too easily?

Think Taryn will defect sooner or later, maybe Jack will go rogue and use Kayla as leverage?

i was thinking that too.
actually a much better episode but even one sees me loathing dana more and more. i hate the way she twists her mouth

No, Jack would have been killed by that guy at the end had it not been for Hassan and Renee would have been toast had she not had Jack on the other flank. It comes down to tactics, and Jack always (well he is the main dude) gets his right. Was surprised the soldiers ventured forward in the smoke unless they had gas masks which I can't remember now.

Episode was good again, what a prick that Rob Weiss is, CTU are busting their nuts to do everything they can and he's ranting at them. Not going to help is it Rob..

Decent ep but did anyone notice the tunnel they were in like fecking grew? Big time? At first they came round the corner and the car was only a little bit further down, once they were near it they turned around and then ran straight back the way they came but it went on for ages

Yeah I noticed it too.
Nice episode but I guess they have to stop with this nuclear threat now and focus on something else.IIRC Dana said she was given istructions to help Samir so I wonder who gave them ?

Still sounded too easy personally, a whole platoon of experienced-in-war soldiers taken down by three people (alright, one of them is Jack Bauer, but still) when these three have handguns and the others various masks and machine guns...

You're forgetting that to begin with there was about 6/7 of them, remember they also had automatic weapons and then switched to handguns afterwards, not too mention they weren't exactly at long range so its not unbelievable to see Bauer taking them out with a pistol. What did the masks matter?

Did the next two air last night? Would be shocked if anyone sent me a link.

Loved those episodes...excited to see what happens next week...season seems to be picking up as we go along :)

I have to say though that even when 24 isn't at its best, I still proffer watching it to most other stuff...I mean its Jack Bauer!!!

Cheers, jveezy. :)

Really enjoying this series now. What a finish to episode 16 that was!

Great episode, had a feeling Hassan was going to die though.

Still have a ton of episodes left though with no obvious plot lead. Can't wait.

What happened to Samir? Was he killed in the assault? Can only imagine that he takes some sort of revenge for that.

The Day 7 angle could work. Especially since they were alluding to Dana holding something back but not having time to dig further. Her immunity deal is no longer valid so they're probably going to go back to her. Chasing Samir and dealing with the peace agreement will probably be important too.

Not an original thought on my part, but I think the writers were definitely trying to show Dalia Hassan's strong support for her husband and the peace agreement for a reason. It's one thing she never wavered upon despite all the problems with her husband and his infidelities. I wouldn't be surprised to see her seize control of the peace process and continue her husband's work (whether or not she has the legal authority to do so).

That was quality.

Didn't expect that, was a brilliant end to the two episodes.

About fecking time

so, are the Russians behind it all? President Taylor's ex-husband spoiling for revenge? Or is Renee behind it all? Maybe she went so far deep int cover that she is blurred between right and wrong? Cole? Or maybe Jacks dad is still alive! Maybe Tony is still going to be in it somehow?

It's Jack...

Now that'd be a great way to finish off the show.

All of the past 6 days have been in Jacks head. He's been in a mental asylum suffering from a break down since Terri got murdered

Fantastic stuff

Not sure which I enjoyed more the Messi show earlier tonight or those two episodes.

Ok, those were two of the best episodes of 24 ever.

The scene where Jack turns around only to see Hassan's slit head was just epic..

What about Jack haling the taxi? 'TAXIIIIIIII!' Gold.

24 again proving they have the balls to do something like this.

2 great episodes and about time Omar Hassan was killed off.It was well done with a nicely opened throat.Still wondering who Dana's boss is as it will the next angle of the show.

So I take it it's improving then? I've not watched since episode 3, hate watching it on a weekly basis. Enjoy it much more when I finish the season in a day and a half.
