Television 24

I admire your patience, I can't do it that way, I need my fix immediately. Weak junkie :(

Same here. There is no way i could wait till May for 24 to finish and then watch them all

The season has really really picked up in the last 4-5 episodes.

Anyone else notice the Silent Clock at the end? It's just the 10th time it's happend in the 8 seasons.

Apparently the first non-American to receive a silent clock too.

There was one for Teri and one for George.

One in season 3 when Jack's forced to kill an agent as one of Saunder's demands :(

Then there was one for Edgar? Then there were 2 last season...one when Renne was being buried and one for Bill. There was one during Redemption also right? What was that for?

The one for Renee was a heartbeat one meaning she was barely alive. They did the same at the end of season 2 with Palmer. I don't remember the one for Redemption but I would guess it was for Jack's friend that stepped on the mine and then took himself out in front of Juma's men to buy time.

I think there have been just 2 or 3 COMPLETELY silent clocks. Most have had some background noise.

Surely Palmer got one in S5?

I'm sure the writers wanted to give him one and no doubt he and Michelle deserved one, but they just died too early on in the episode. The silent clock has the greatest effect when the character dies just before it at the end of the episode. Although I think Bill's was in the middle of the episode. Maybe Mason too. So really I don't know.

Holy Crap Balls!!

2 Silent Clocks in back to back episodes :(:(:(

I watched the last 3 episodes back to back, way to pick up a crap season so far, looks like it might be an explosive end. Jack will be mental I would imagine.

i may have slated this season previously but these last two episodes have been brilliant
and logan's back! still a slimy piece of work though. the only wat this episode could have been bettered would to have had tony walk out of the shadows to comfort jack

Logan will improve the show no doubt.

It's really set for an explosive 6 episodes now.

and perhaps the reappearance of
tony?

That's what I have been thinking for the last week. There has to be some way to get
him back. Some kind of deal they will surely make with him to get him back. Can't wait for it! But what possible can they get him back?

Many are (understandably) peeved at killing off Renee because it seemed like a lazy ploy by the writers to bring back angry Jack. I don't know. Bringing back revenge Jack to fill the last episodes before the movie seems like a cheap way to go out. If the writers can find a way to make this significant without being cheesy, then fine, but that was a damn good character they sacrificed to do it. Damn good.

RIP Walker Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Although on the plus side, CHLOE AS HEAD OF CTU IS AWESOME! I knew this would happen some day, although it was sad to see Hastings go. If Bauer goes rogue, will Chloe have to give the order to arrest him? As far as I know, CTU hasn't tried to arrest him this year.

Also Gregory Itzin's acting has not worn off. The standoff between President Taylor and President Logan was absolutely riveting. If you look back at just the dialogue, the scene was absolutely useless. They said nothing that they couldn't have agreed on over the phone. Yet the two actors did a magnificent job of making that meeting as absolutely captivating as possible, both in the ways that made their characters special all along.

If they want to bring Tony back, it's easy. They can just do it the same way they've done it with everyone else. He has information. Tie in the Russian conspiracy this season with the conspiracy from last season and then Tony has insider info.

Edit:

I wouldn't be surprised if they hate this show in Russia.

But they possibly can't tie up Toni with this seasons Russian conspiracy. Was he involved in any way with the Russians last season? i can't really seem to remember. But they have bought him back from the deal so anything's possible

Didn't really expect that at the end.Renée's was not needed but I guess it will give Jack the motive to still be involved in all this mess now.I like the reintroduction of Charles Logan who I think was one of the best characters (great acting). It brings a refreshing side to the show but sort of at the expense of Renée it's a bit shitty :(
Chloe is the boss now which is great after all she's been through.Hopefully some previous characters will still make useful come backs as the Logan ones since it makes sense

It was definitely weak writing to kill off Renee just to get Jack back at his brutal best again.

Also this is might just be one too many case of Jack getting rough end of the stick when it comes to personal life. His work leading to tragedy in personal life is a way over played card now.

Still just because it will be the last 6 episodes of 24 ever, I will overlook this amateurish plot turn.

As far as what is too come. Pretty clear Logan will be the big villain going into the final arc. But I expect Jack to go fully rogue, even going against President Taylor and also Chloe!! Still expect a final twist to set up the movie.

I fully expect Jack to somehow end up killing Logan. I wish he'd do Redcafe's Logan! too

:lol::lol::lol::lol: Amazing.

As for the show, that's 3 of the best episodes of 24 I have seen now in a row. Back-to-back silent clocks, and 24 again proving that they have the balls to kill off big characters.

What about Jack though? Poor SOB, what more can be done to his wrecked heart?

Logan back is brilliant IMO, his villain arc is up there as the all time best of the show IMO. 6 episodes left and its all over :( :( :(

despite having been shot and having broken ribs, and with obvious wounds, Jack was still able to bone her. Ah well, at least thats one consolation before she got killed

Was it just me or did Logan's face look really weird? Looked liked he has had a dozen botox injections.

I certainly could not stop watching that pocket underneath his right eye. I was expecting it to explode suddenly and for Logan to keel over right on the table and guards to come rushing through the door to accuse Taylor of killing him and arrest her.
