The vibes election is in full effect
Worth cautioning here that it’s very likely an outlier. Trump usually leads on the economy by 8-10 points so 3 weeks of vibes probably aren’t enough to make up that gap.
Being devils advocate. What proof there is about the couch, and if there is none, why both things cant equate? The thing is that everybody on the D camp merrily accepted the couch story no questions ask (if internet says it is true) and so the R camp might accept what they are doing with walzIt's just the right trying to do the Vance couch thing, and missing the point entirely.

The couch thing, while obviously untrue, lies between the border of absurdity and something that would fit into what Vance describes the community like in Hillbilly Elegy. This new attack on Walz is just gross, homophobic and doesn't even really link to something about Walz' character. The couch story also originated organically, while this is deeply desperate.Being devils advocate. What proof there is about the couch, and if there is none, why both things cant equate? You can sort of imagine an "american pie" type situation happening to a frisky, lonely, experimenting teenager. You can't really imagine the same person guzzling a litre of horse jizz.
Anyway I think it was in a first draft*of Hillbilly elegy that got leaked. It didn't actually make it to the bookshop shelf
*This is a complete lie

Also, no-one ever truly believed the couch story for more than maybe five minutes. It's just a meme. But I agree in principle that if the right could have come up with something clever, it would have been the same. They just can't.

I am not sure about that particular station, but most major markets have the 4 main networks (ABC,CBS,NBC,FOX) who each have their own news divisions. In my experience the local news teams (unless the station is owned by Sinclair) are pretty down the middle, while the reporters themselves may lean either way. Thanks for the reply. Is this station generally more liberal leaning? Are there other stations they could have had the debate on instead? I'm just puzzled that the current Republican party, so full of clowns, bigots and thickos, would voluntarily show themselves in such a well moderated environment.
Yeah, I guess I'm just describing why it won't be successful. I'm sure the couch thing reached people that don't really follow politics that closely, and it helped in defining Vance in the days after he became the VP pick. The MAGA world can have at it with their disgusting memes all they like, of course, but it won't reach the mainstream.Again. The memes are there for both, so certainly there is political bias. The magaloons im sure they find it hilarious
Hey, me and J.D. Vance agree on something. This seems like a first though. Normally they'd tip-toe around something like that, and Trump has even had dinner with him. Interesting how this goes.

The end is near…
Now watch them having lunch together around October.
If it was Trump's dinner it was probably cremated steak and ketchup. The odds of Fuentes getting anywhere close to even Marjorie Taylor-Greene these days is minimal!
He's completely done. From what I heard around that time the Trump meal with him was due to incompetence by the way, Trump held a lunch meeting with Kanye West (just before he announced he was running for president again) and Milo Yiannopoulis who became Ye's campaign manager, apparently snuck him in there.
Christ, what a way to ruin good food to be in that kind of company
I'd forgotten about thatIf it was Trump's dinner it was probably cremated steak and ketchup.
It's so weak. Essentially just one veteran going after another, which is a bad look.Has Walz ever claimed that he's some decorated war hero? This is such a weird line of attack for me, especially considering Vance also served in the military as a......journalist.

He didn't feck a couch.Let Vance go. If I was the democrats I would just dig dirt on his military career and leak it quietly to the press. Considering he fecked a couch, he must have done something stupid and embarrassing in the army.
Like Ubik said, it's missing the point.
The JD Vance couch story is "funny" because it plays into the idea that he's a bit of a loser, and that Republicans who are so concerned about sex usually have weird hangups.
The Walz thing isn't really playing into anything. It's incoherent. It's a 'Cards Against Humanity' level joke and more likely to be considered 'distasteful.'
There were a host of false things that Donald Trump said during his hour-long news conference Thursday that have gotten attention.
A glaring example is his helicopter emergency landing story, which has not stood up to scrutiny.
But there was so much more. A team of NPR reporters and editors reviewed the transcript of his news conference and found at least 162 misstatements, exaggerations and outright lies in 64 minutes. That’s more than two a minute. It’s a stunning number for anyone – and even more problematic for a person running to lead the free world.
We don't have evidence that he did, not the same as he didn't.He didn't feck a couch.
But perhaps @wr8_utd did?He didn't feck a couch.
Hopefully, this fantasy some dems have of flipping Florida comes to an end, this isn't 2012 anymore, and they don't need the state anyway.
Is this because of boomers moving to Florida or have Florida Reps outplayed the Dems?

He has good and bad moments.
Finkelstein is great.
It's always projection / confession with this lot...
