Feel free to look back at the last few hundred pages you did not participate in. You're an odd individual.

And yes I'm clearly very pro trump

You've done it twice in the last hour, seems pretty consistent to me.

You realize the joke, right? Calling you pro Trump is as ridiculous as calling the people you call pro Trump pro Trump. Yes, it's laughable, because all available evidence point in the other direction, yet you keep doing it.

Except it did. Only people who weren't paying attention during those 4 years (and some of that I don't blame them for considering it was one scandal and bat shit thing after another) can say that with a straight face IMHO
In the last 4 years we’ve seen Russia Ukraine. Extreme escalation re Israel Palestine. A chronic increase in cost of living. A mass migration into every US state from across the borders. An awful evacuation from Afghan

there have of course been success stories but you (not you specifically) can’t ignore the quite significant failures of the last 4 years.

Red or blue….it doesn’t matter. Theres always, as you put it ‘one scandal or bat shit thing after another’ and depending on which side you sit, you (not you specifically) choose to ignore it when it suits

Never liked Trump and still don’t. But I took a step out of the echo chamber ages ago, and simply talked to a lot of people with different views. Got interested in and wise to ideology and geopolitics. Got to see how wildly out of touch American liberals are. And I thought conservatives were bad.
Fair enough. Thanks for responding. I hope I will get to that point to some degree.

Btw, @NotThatSoph I'll accept your apology now.

Dana White thanking Theo Von on the stage of a US Presidential victory speech is just beyond anything the most farcical comedy could come up with.

Idiocracy is here. If we’re honest it’s been bubbling under the surface for a while but it’s out in the open now.

Social media era. Idiots found a platform to express their rhetoric. I'm convinced it's that simple.

Guess I was right not to trust American people judgment. Disappointed with the result but with a sense of relief I did the necessary arrangements to protect my wife's family.

Expect the worse for Ukraine and the Palestinians. It wasn't all the Americans fault. The spineless, coward western leaders have their big fair share of blame with their inaction, lack morals and indecisiveness. Truly a shite show.

Think it’s just surprise that these groups have joined in with white men at voting against their interests.
If it’s a surprise, then I’m sorry, but it’s from not paying enough attention. Not actually talking to people and picking their brain. There’s a certain level of chauvinism and ignorance to make a sweeping claim that x, y, and z people of color vote against their interests as if to say they don’t have any agency. Gotta do better than that.

Okay so, initial reaction. Incumbents taking a kicking the world over. If Trump was that great he wouldn’t have lost last time around. I feel like he’s benefitted from the impact of inflation and he will claim the victory for the way that’s trending. Lets see what he does with Ukraine on day 1 as promised.

The working class sometimes overtly racist people I know are jubilant with the news which makes 1 in 3 ethnic minority voters going with Trump that much harder to understand. That said, I heard loads of soundbites of immigrants (and children of) the last few weeks that are staunchly anti immigration which isn’t a new phenomenon and Trump landed that message well.

Dearie me. Again??

it would be hilarious if it wasn't so utterly depressing.
For me personally it was a massive shock and hard to digest what happened in 2016. This time it's actually a bit amusing and not a shock at all. It's the world we live in

It’s the biggest part of the equation. There is now a platform surrounding us all day wherever we go, that tells us, that our worst impulses aren’t just justified, they are good and to be expressed and lived out. Elections like this one are the logical consequence.

No different to brexit or to boris and the red wall. Us working class folk like to feck ourselves over whilst bending over for the super rich. Has always been this way.

This is the wildest take of all wild takes here surely, Florida Man talking sense, bloody Florida Man...

The Royal Florida Man of course, not @Florida Man

It’s how these people get convinced that people like Trump are on the side of the working man which puzzles me. Happens in this country with Farage as well.

Does this person think all immigrants are illegal when they first arrive? The left wing in America will then wonder why they are losing naturalised citizens/ first generation immigrant voters to the Republicans.
It’s a stupid tweet but she makes a point. Many immigrants who are naturalized don’t agree with an easy path to residency, legal or illegal simply because it wasn’t easy for them.

I'm not sure how much 'female president' has anything to do with it. Biden was on course to lose pretty heavily.

This has been discussed here many times: for the average American who isn't glued to the TV or internet all day, the Trump years were basically fine. And yes, that even includes COVID.
Pin this somewhere.

You'd think people would be more compassionate after what they've been through themselves.

I'm too naive I guess.

I suppose the saving grace for Americans is that this will be his last term.

What over the past 4 years... Hell, the past 40 years of necessary have shown the blue team have been on the side of the working man? Anything?

At all?
