Yeah. So many factors. Immigrants from countries with authoritarian socialist pasts will react strongly to the radical left nonsense that is spouted.
explains florida with the Cuban dynamics. whether you're right or left, if you had to leave because of the Castro regime you can understand why they lean R.

Question - why didn’t the Biden administration do better on immigration / border security these past four years? Aside from inflation and playing to the degenerate aspects of human psyche, that seems to really be what’s winning this for Trump.

Exactly. While they are wrong to equate the two, it does explain it.

Looks like it's going to be even Trumpier than 2016. Deeply concerned about Ukraine and what that might mean for the rest of Europe if it falls.

There is nothing wrong with her as a nominee. She has considerable experience all round. Trump is somehow held to a lower account to everyone else and gets away with anything he does.

But this is what I was getting at. She absolutely has the experience.
Why doesn't it transpire into the voting?

the answer is multi-fold [my English sucks this morning, sorry],
but I'm pretty sure it also has to do with her... I don't know- mannerisms, for lack of a better word.

Such a stupid move from the Democratic Party to have her as a nominee.
Feels like Moyes at Utd.
Be mad at him all you want for looking like an utter embarrassment [and god did I despise him].

But why the hell hire him in the first fecking place?

I knew of her but had no opinion about her whatsoever.
The very few videos of her I've seen made me want to punch the screen.
And I don't remember a single thing she said except for that 'passage of time' schtick.
For all I know she might be the most brilliant person in the world, but she gave me such an annoying impression that I probably didn't listen to her.

I read recently that Mel Gibson said that she has the IQ of a lamp post and I gotta say that I get the sentiment,
even though she clearly is a smart and capable woman. That smirk, those gigglings...

Is it a secret that a lot of people vote based on such petty things that create an impression in one's mind,
rather than actual policies and track records?

It should have been a rather straightforward task to beat the abomination that is Trump in an election race.

I don't think this has to do with the fact that she's a woman.
I don't think that I get annoyed by her because she's a woman.
There's something off about her presence in front of a camera on many occasions.
Tulsi probably would have had a better shot at it. Gavin too.

Sad times.
Yes she’s the problem, not you

Well Selzer was our only hope, and she's gone.

No surprise, depressing but no surprise.

Look for the positives, we won't spend 4 days waiting for official announcement of the winner; probably not even 4 hours.

It’s simple. America isn’t ready to vote for a woman. Germany had Hitler and voted for a woman leader before America did.

I think Rory Stewart proving (again) that he's not the great lost British politician that some claim him to be. How the feck can he think that Harris was a good candidate who ran a good campaign?

Get ready to pay for those extra Tariffs Trump voters. No doubt he won’t be his fault.
That’s the craziest part. For a group of people who love the fecking Confederacy, they sure seem to have forgotten that a hatred of tariffs, because they made goods more expensive, was one of the economic issues that pulled southerners away from the Union in the decades leading up to the 1860 election.

No. Not only white people are bigots and racists. The idea that people voting for a bigot somehow means it's a less divided society is far from logical. It's some sort of twisted syllogism.
What I mean is that, as a matter of fact, it would be more ethnically divided if 90%+ of the ethnic minority population voted for just one party. What they’re voting for is another thing.

Right, so first step taken, so we should be good to go 60 years from now then.

They did fine on the border. They even attempted to introduce leglislation which the Republicans shot down.

But people want to have some angry man yelling about it rather than passing common sense policy.

They got cockblocked after midterm 22 as they lost the House. Cobbled a bill together with some of the most conservative Rs in the House but Trump told them to not vote for it so he can run on it.

But ultimately, it's just down to the price of burgers. They re-elected Obama when unemployment was still at like 6% but seem to really really hate having a job but paying more for stuffs.

It probably does have to do with the fact that she’s a woman. She mostly comes across well every time I’ve seen her speak - obviously not a stellar public speaker and slightly generic in her speak some issues but she usually comes across as intelligent and well meaning. I don’t see what about her is so annoying, that her laugh and giggle gets to you? Maybe it’s due to the fact that in day age it’s more important to be notable rather than good. It’s better to be a meme than capable.

Yeah, so I’m pretty sure 99% of his base have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

You want to talk about her mannerisms but the other guy is a rambling mad orange 78 year old talking about Hannibal Lector?

Not to mention the deleterious effect another Trump presidency will have on the politics of European counties, where right-wing groups constantly parrot American talking points.

Donald Trump mocked a crippled person, bragged about sexual assault, got convicted of rape, held a German-American Bund Rally 2.0 in New York, and mimicked a blow job on a microphone…

But yeah, Kamala’s mannerisms, man…

We’ve outperformed the rest of the G-7 in lowering inflation, so, I mean, you could say that, but it wouldn’t make it true.

Tell that to the people though. Sire, you've outperformed the G7 and it makes a good headline...

What's the reality for the people on the ground though? The people who are out voting tonight?

America is for Americans
- Stephen Miller, Madison Square Garden

Where are you from, again?

Legal permanent resident since the day I arrived to this country, citizen since 2007. More than a half of my life I have lived in United States. Not quite as American as John Wayne but working toward it. ;)

Eurgh. Very dark times ahead, hard not to be a little terrified to be honest.
