You'll be mad to think he's giving up anything
I wasn't talking about him giving up anything. He's an obese 78 year old man who's visibly deteriorating. He might not even live another 4 years. And the big tech cryptocunts pulling Vance's strings will be looking for their opportunity seize power.

Except the US doesn’t really have a real left. Not by the standards of the most of the world. Socialism isn’t really a thing there.
That's my point, it's a nonsense that there is a radical left but for some reason it's an issue.

I would be amazed if he is still fighting fit by 2028.
And the amazing thing is that, since Americas superpower is cognitive dissonance, no matter how much he fecks up the country or how badly his supporters are affected they will never blame him. Easier to accept the pain than admit they were wrong. They all deserve everything that is coming their way.
Indeed.

Yeah. So many factors. Immigrants from countries with authoritarian socialist pasts will react strongly to the radical left nonsense that is spouted.
Don’t even think it’s about being Socialist. The economy is the big issue but trust me if you bombard an average immigrant/minority who’s naturally conservative with propaganda that his kid will taught in class that being gay okay or his kid won’t need his permission to change his sex, he will think twice.
Couple that with experiencing high inflation and a cost of living crisis, then a candidate/party becomes a hard sell. It’s misinformation at the end of the day but it works very well.

I’m responding to what you said below because the economy and inflation is one of the biggest issues that voters had in mind when they responded to the exit polls.

These issues are directly related to the previous administration & its actions.

So again, I don’t care that there’s a pattern to this. Two things can be true. The economic and inflationary issues faced by Biden/Harris were literally issues they inherited and the Trump voters are speaking as if they’re issues that they created.

Another way to look at it is that they haven't fixed them.

Yes, religious so anti gay and abortion, also 1st generation immigrants tend to want to shut the door behind them.

They literally got called garbage and still voted for him and his menagerie, it's absurd.
It’s very interesting that a religious person would consider hatred towards a homosexual person more important than sexual assault allegations, fascism, and all round vile behaviour.

But then again organised religion is more about what you think / proclaim you are rather than what really are.

This. I’ll be quite happy to see the trumpers suffer for their stupidity. But of course they’ll just blame something/someone else anyway.
I can never get over how many people here are stupid enough to vote to feck themselves over.

I get what you’re saying but you’ve fallen into the trap I’m referring to. You mention ‘their own kind’ there, but that would only apply to immigrants from the same place.
Every single immigrant who vote for this imbecile should be ashamed of themselves. There's no excuse. He'll never respect immigrants and he'll never consider them as the same level of his "other" supporters. Wearing a maga hat won't change who they are. They force themselves to fit in at his rallies but the others don't like them and think they're scum. They look at them like they're scum and treat them the same of they see them anywhere else. It's like trying to fit in at a party you weren't invited to. They let you come because they love your empanadas and guacamole but other than that, they don't give a feck about them or people like them. They're a bunch of pathetic sellout.

Europe is gone. By the end of trump's reign, NATO will be a thing of the past, Ukraine will be Russian possibly with the Baltics

But when you think about it…it’s a logical claim though?
No. Not only white people are bigots and racists. The idea that people voting for a bigot somehow means it's a less divided society is far from logical. It's some sort of twisted syllogism.

Trump winning is an important battle won. The real work to take America back starts tomorrow.

Yep. We finally had an FTC chair that was looking out for regular people and you can kiss that goodbye. His primary support base will happily suffer for it.
Exactly. I really don't think the vast majority of people continue to fail to see how it's not Trump in a vacuum that is so concerning - it's everything and everyone he enables. And many of them will indeed have very real long lasting impact across all layers of society.

What does that mean though? That they’re not liberal in their views re: abortion, minority rights and immigration ? Because this confuses me - Trump with his antics, divisive rhetoric and filthy talk about minorities, women etc seems hardly like your perfect candidate for less progressive people.
Remove minority rights from the equation and most immigrant groups are to the right of Republicans on many issues. Just look at the countries they come from.

Of course what I forgot to add is that they will not be the only ones to suffer, but that is kind of the whole point of politics by division. You convince people that another group is worse off than them and that you are the one “keeping them above”, and they will suffer almost any indignity

Such a stupid move from the Democratic Party to have her as a nominee.
Feels like Moyes at Utd.
Be mad at him all you want for looking like an utter embarrassment [and god did I despise him].

But why the hell hire him in the first fecking place?

I knew of her but had no opinion about her whatsoever.
The very few videos of her I've seen made me want to punch the screen.
And I don't remember a single thing she said except for that 'passage of time' schtick.
For all I know she might be the most brilliant person in the world, but she gave me such an annoying impression that I probably didn't listen to her.

I read recently that Mel Gibson said that she has the IQ of a lamp post and I gotta say that I get the sentiment,
even though she clearly is a smart and capable woman. That smirk, those gigglings...

Is it a secret that a lot of people vote based on such petty things that create an impression in one's mind,
rather than actual policies and track records?

It should have been a rather straightforward task to beat the abomination that is Trump in an election race.

I don't think this has to do with the fact that she's a woman.
I don't think that I get annoyed by her because she's a woman.
There's something off about her presence in front of a camera on many occasions.
Tulsi probably would have had a better shot at it. Gavin too.

Sad times.

the likely real reasons which are sufficient to explain this all - basically economy and biden:

the copium reason which i dont believe explains the election:

(from august)

Tell that to Biden. He let the world burn just for a slim chance of winning presidency.

Remember that the Dems has alot to answer for amidst all this

Trumps actions are not on Biden.

Biden didn't help the Dems but he's inept, not a puppet master.

Worst possible outcome. It will be a red wave, won't it?
I'm pretty shocked Americans voted the orange imbecile into the White House twice.
The next 4 years will be another rollercoaster. Not looking forward to it.

Another way to look at it is that they haven't fixed them.

They’ve done better than almost anywhere else on earth though. I think the Dems are unambitious at times but inflation at the levels it was would always take years to come down.

Just as Trump inherited Obama’s economy if he does win he’ll inherit an improving situation which he’ll then claim is all his own work.

There is nothing wrong with her as a nominee. She has considerable experience all round. Trump is somehow held to a lower account to everyone else and gets away with anything he does.

There is a sense sometimes of a 'got in the door, don't care if it closes behind me' mindset among some. Conservative views like religion and abortion or don't want to pay more taxes matter more than what some say is just Trump's personal xenophobia. Or some just deny he's racist to begin with.
Don't forget felon and rapist.
