Every financial incentive for me requires a close Harris win, but if Selzer is right and we get a 350 EV+ win with Blorida or Blexas, I'd gladly take the hit. The pure schadenfreude from those MAGA tears would be enough sustenance for years.

Bigger win the better, obviously, but even if Texas and Florida flipped, MAGA would just call it all "fake news" and insist they won every state anyway, including California.

These people are not coming back to reality.

financially a Trump win is better for me, but I think he's gonna lose it

Oh I know, but the paranoia and despair that Dems are so powerful they can 'rig' even Florida and Texas will be glorious to witness.

For sure, and it would be fun though, watching the actual sane republicans trying to convince the MAGA-people that their brand is not a winning formula.

Sadly that's how too many people not only think, but more importantly, vote (not a personal attack btw) That's the main reason Americans can't have nice things.

yeah I know, and I really hope he doesn't win.. maybe it's just bias but do I think Kamala might just sneak it

these elections are won or lost on voter turn-out for the most part and I think the dems are slightly more incentivised to turn out this time (after seeing whats happened with abortion and wotnot).. compared to previous Trump elections

Trump fans I can see leaning more apathetic compared to 4 and 8 years ago especially after Biden stepped aside for a more cognitively coherent candidate, with some staying home whilst telling themselves "they're all as bad as each other so what's the point"

Surely he’s talking himself into a defeat right now? Hard to envisage an undecided making up their mind right now looking at him and thinking, yeah, that’s my guy.

"And I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling independent women!"

I knew that tan could only be a mask.

He wants to control the narrative.

Lose and he won't concede. He'll just go after the system, Democrats, the Obamas...

Hmmm....Reminds me of Succession. I think Donny is Logan Roy (just 100x worse).

Jr. is Kendall Roy
Eric is Roman Roy (with the wit)
Ivanka is Shiv
Jared is probably combination of Greg and Tom
Succession is exactly what I had in mind when I made the comment. An old man (tycoon) who defies death for as long as possible because his children are feck ups.

It's normal around election time. It's not as bad as a few years ago when we have a burning bell end posted in all it's flaming phallic glory.

With the run up to the election taking 18 months or so, it's no surprise people go a bit stir crazy. Especially with all the informative polls and crazy twists and turns they provide. Then of course add in the betting markets and relentless and shameless pivoting it's guaranteed valuetainment all the way.

I've even heard some of the US posters are so superstitious they are worse than Hockey players reaching the play offs. They don't shave or change their lucky pants from the Primaries to the actual results being announced. Or maybe that's just an excuse they make? Who knows?
Oh so I also should rub my balls in orange marmalade? I will if it helps Kamala win.

At the last election I was following a lot of what was on here and when I had questions on election night there were a few people who gave me clear answers with really helpful information. I thought Trump was going to win and those who replied to my questions during the evening were right on the money.
Again Im thinking Trump will win so Im hoping during the election this forum can keep me up to speed as each states results come in. Its a funny thing how after the last election this thread is going to be my go to for understanding whats happening as it happens

There's definitely something up in North Carolina. Trump must've seen some scary internals to make several last minute stops there only a couple of days before the election.
Isn't it also pretty much a certainty that it will take historical levels of split ballots for Trump to take North Carolina? The Republicans also have a historically bad candidate for Governor, of course, but it still might make a difference.
That's probably at the heart of the matter for Trump. Stein is beating Robinson by (depending on the poll) anywhere from 9 to 15 points, which would make it fertile ground for Harris to benefit and possibly take NC. That won't be lost on Trump, who has made several last minute stops there. Of course, if he loses the blue wall, it won't really matter in the end.

All these factors are true, but I think if NC does go blue, it will be because of those from blue cities and states have moved down to The Research Triangle (Raleigh / Durham) and Charlotte in recent year.

I bought NC in 2021 and plan to move down the full time when the time is right. I know a lot of people that have already made the move.

One thing that I've seen change this election is that there has been a seismic shift in who the "silent votes" are for. In previous years, the narrative has been that people were embarrassed to vote for trump but still did it, whereas this year, there's gonna be a lot of lifelong republicans secretly voting democrat.

I really hope you are right. Its going to be interesting once Trump is finally out of the picture as to what happens to the Republican party, they have allowed themselves to be over run by absolute lunatics and I wonder how the more considered republicans will get their party back?

Going forward it's going to be interesting where the Republicans go. They can't just stick with Trumpism

If Trump wins on Tuesday, they will probably stick with Trumpsim for some time. :)

Vance as VP would also represent a glimmer of what a post MAGA party may look like. All the demagoguery, but minus the populism.

I expect powerful Republicans to shift the narrative and try to whitewash themselves, blaming Trump in the process and hoping everybody just quietly moves on from the Trump years. Pragmatism will kick in.

I'm more interested in how Trump's base will react. Which Repub politician will they flock to? They've been knee deep into conspiracy theories and Trump cultism. Are they as enthusiastic about the Youngkin's, Haley's and Rubio's of the Republican Party?
