He has the massive advantage of having close to the best technique of all the riders (also because of CX) and riding grand tours (and winning on the iconic Alpe D'Huez) gives him the stamina to go full gas for 1.5h.

I’ve always thought that downhill mountain biking should be in the Olympics. It’s the most batshit crazy thing I’ve ever seen - I have no idea how people don’t die doing it all the time. I think Britain does pretty well at it too.
