Ireland GB NL for 2-3 place
Well if that ever happens, then I’ll look at it.Quite simple really - do you think a country with 0 golds and 20 bronzes should rank higher than a country with 19 golds and 0 bronzes?
An argument could be made for a points system though, but tbf there isn't an official medal competition between countries at the Olympics anyway.
Actually when you say it like that... I still think it should yes. Winning is paramount.Should a country with 1 gold and 0 silver rank higher than a country with 0 gold and 100 silvers?
The argument to absurdity can work both ways..
The WR is held by the Soviet Union, so we can assume they were doped to feck.No WR feeeeck
I’d have disagreed with themIf what I heard today is correct. During one of the Olympics China had more medals and the USA said that gold medals should be the real barometer.
Didn’t think she fully dippedUSA Only 0.1 seconds of a 28 year old record.

So after this woman’s 4x400 it could be 37-37 for golds between the US and China? (If the US win of course). What is the medal outlook for both for the rest of the evening?
Chance Lasha doesnt actually get the highest snatch for a change.
Minasyan is in form.

Oh I’m sure a ton of folks would change with the wind on that.Agreed but you know how China and the USA, or even Russia are. They want the bragging rights.
2016 I think? When was the last time that happened?
How are we 5th there
2016 I think?
Wait, people are mad about that?
What!?
I thought it’s always been based on total medals
Explains why I’ve always thought it was done that way then.
And yeah, I agree with you. Silver and Bronze aren’t chopped liver.
It’s done by golds medal so they outweigh all silver and bronzeHow are we 5th there
Fecks sake…, clear head shot not givenOfficiating consistently crap … tae-Kwan do. Needing replays to see clear hits
