Have to disagree. Trump Jnr is basically on an accelerated path to running for office. No side likee ivanka, dems think she's feckless, reps think she's a snake. Trump world loves Don Jnr. He basically is a shoe in for his father.

Don Jr. is liked by Trump world, but the entire Trump movement will almost certainly implode if Trump loses in Nov., which would in the process take down all of the grifters within it.

I disagree. There's no one even remotely close in terms of being a cult of personality dictator to the GOP base like Trump. His kids simply don't have that skill set.
There is no doubt that America should co-opt some of the ideas and policies from other countries. I would also agree that not having a dog in the fight makes one more objective (i.e. independent auditor).
However, it's not about the media-generated information set. It's more about understanding the nuanced American ideals and different regions and how they can affect the election. If you can't understand these nuances then it's nearly impossible to form an opinion that isn't derived from a media-driven narrative or limited data. Personally, I give very little weight to opinions based solely on this b/c they can be found anywhere.
Obviously good models can come from anyone. But I would just note that this guy seems like he's an undergrad, and this his first Presidential election model. He's done infinite times more than I could even now in setting up a model and a website. But would just caution that it is pretty unproven (not that election models can ever really get proven).

Florida Rep. Demings and Atlanta mayor Bottoms have been the hot names since the protests started. I am not sure how much it matters though.
as crude as this sounds, if he wants play into the "optics of the moment" it will be Harris, if he wants the token progressive it will be Warren.
The other progresives will get "committee positions" so they can just box them away and keep them quiet.

i've fully come around to a now likely Biden win, polls are just too overwhelming unless something absolutely unforeseen happens. Progressives should now forget about the VP choice and focus on protesting a Biden Administration on policy.

When Bush won the first time, in the graph they are virtually tied. Bush won both the electoral college and the popular vote on his second election.

8 point congressional ballot should be sufficient to reclaim the Senate. McSally, Gardner, Collins, Daines look like they may lose. Jones will almost surely lose in Bama. Ernst and Tillis are also vulnerable. Worse case for Dems would be a pickup of 2 (and not reclaiming the Senate). Best case would be pickup of 5 (6 minues Doug Jones). McConnell and Graham should squeek by with wins.

There's a sort of fatalistic, pre-defeatist tendency to think so, although signs point to something else happening in November.
Scared to say it but I sometimes fear Joe might kick the bucket before election day.
Im still optimistic about Trump's chances of being infected with Covid-19. It would be such cosmic justice if that kills the cnut.
