2020 US Elections | Biden certified as President | Dems control Congress

All if not most within the margin of error just like 2016. The national poll means jack s*** in America's system. Personally I think Florida will be key since I don't see Biden flipping Arizona.

As an Arizonan I disagree.

Living in Maryland, my vote really doesn't count (it's a solid blue state), but I am waiting to see who his VP is before I rally behind him. I really think that if Biden wins, he may not be able to serve out his 4 year term, so I think his VP is more critical than most in recent history. If he selects Harris, there is no way I can vote for him. I'll throw a protest vote in for someone else at that point.
I'd probably write-in vote for Larry Hogan just for shits and giggles. (Used to live in MD myself)

The actual support yes but the it's the people on the subreddit, the college grads who just started on buzzfeed and FB moral high horse brigade that are so deluded they must be conflicted right now. Anyone who was talking about the "DNC rigging this against Bernie", basically.

Sorry to burst your bubble. But a lot of americans really don't like to vote. And a vast majority of them are black, brown, poc from low-income families. Voting isn't an issue because few supporters don't agree with their candidate. Voter turnout has always been an issue in america and it isn't that hard to see why.

Joe Biden ate babies, did genocide for fun, infected people with AIDS, caused global warming, caused coronavirus, created Lucifer. No to Trump, no to Biden. Tweet this.

She's got a pretty good organisation in fair fight... Biden seems to be lacking in state level organisation
She's a woman which I think Biden has said he wants
I think she would be a decent pick
She would not be a good pick in my opinion, given her lack of experience and that she comes from a state that won’t turn blue.

She‘s a distant long shot behind the top three which seem to be coalescing as Kamala, Klobuchar, and Whitmer.

Whitmer is a really good choice IMO. And she has the executive experience that neither of them other mentioned candidates seem to have.

Aye, governor of a large state is probably the best preparation to be ready to fill in as POTUS.

It helps that she’s from the Upper Midwest, of course.

I can't stand the exaltation of Cuomo. He's only competent relative to Trump. If you wanted a competent executive who'd handled the virus, it would be Jay Inslee. He doesn't get the attention of New York because he's on the West Coast and because New York's death toll has surged past Washington's, but his early actions and leadership are a far better example of what's needed than Cuomo, who dithered over shutting down the state when it was already apparent that he would have to.

The Democrats’ overriding imperative is to oust Donald Trump. Their other ambitions—putting a woman on the ticket, the Green New Deal, Medicare for All—should be put on hold. They are irrelevant to the purpose at hand.

 America deserves Trump with this line of thinking

Will Bernie get a pivotal role in a Biden Government? Wouldn’t that promise be the best way to get Bernie supporters to vote for Biden.

Unless he's offered VP (highly unlikely), he would be more effective in the Senate imo.
Am not that dialed into current democrat voting dynamics so forgive my ignorance:

If many Bernie fans are anti Biden, which choice of VP would get them to vote Biden? Surely it’s Bernie? Why is it unlikely for Biden to offer him that role?

Ditto, as the 2nd most voted democrat, surely Biden would want to create a proposition that guarantees he gets those votes? Make Bernie head of health care or the chancellor?

Surely the aim has to be to get rid of Trump, and if including Bernie in that package helps that, Biden has to go down that route?

Having said that, it’s quite crazy that USA voters are enthralled only by 3 old white men! What happened to the 45-55 age group of talent?!

The only reason I think having Bernie as VP is a bad choice is that President McCarthy might be a reality in 2-3 years.

It will definitely help Biden win though.

Given Vermont currently has a Republican governor, Bernie should stay in the Senate because his replacement would likely be a Republican until there could be a special election.

Under no circumstances should Biden pick a running mate from the Senate whose seat would or could be taken by a Republican.

If he leaves the seat right now, wouldn't Vermont go in special elections in November?

The Dems have a decent shot at regaining the Senate in Nov (gaining 4 seats and losing 1), so maybe Biden shouldn't take anyone from a GOP governed state.

A 78 years old president and a 79 years old VP...aiming to end 2 terms on 86 and 87 years old

One with pre dementia and the other coming from a heart attack surgery

As there is a young age limit, it should be as well a old age limit. You can't be +80 having a job as president of USA

Both Maine and N. Carolina need to be won for it to happen (and of course, Arizona too). Colorado should be safe with Hickenlooper.

The dream (though very unlikely) is for Dems to win Kentucky.
