I don't get the where's Biden hashtag campaign. Half the country are self-quarantined at home during a once in a lifetime pandemic, so it stands to reason that he wouldn't be out and about, or even on social media.

He's meant to be a major political figure. Of course he should be visible during a fecking crisis.
He's made some remarks. Beyond that, he doesn't currently hold public office so there's little he can do beyond that while staying home.

Regardless of what you think is strategically correct, if he had any sense of duty he would be using his platform during this time. Unless he's ill, of course. Which is why people are more than wondering.

Looking at it objectively I’m not really sure what he should be doing. He’s not a medical expert so why should he be dishing out advice? He could have his own team of experts but despite Trump being an awful leader right now I’m not sure how proper or productive it would be to be coming out with advice counter to official government advice.

It doesn't necessarily need to be contrary. He can simply do a short video each day reminding people to social distance and offering love and hugs and shit. That would help. That reinforces the message and it gets it to people Trump doesn't reach. There's no reason not to do that.

The campaign is for the most part over and Sanders has been marginalized back into irrelevance, and so whoever is pushing this latest red herring, is merely seeking to weaken Biden before the Gen. - in this case Trump and Sanders supporters who seem to be simultaneously pushing the same hashtag.
