it's a mute point
That's Bernie done, if he wasn't already. Amazing to see this being "called" so early.
Old Man Yells At EveryoneWell, that was fun while it lasted. I for one welcome our new Grandpa Simpson overlord.
That will show emif I was Bernie, I'd drop out now so Biden gets absolutely mauled by his gaffs and political history for the next few months. Once bernie is out, then the stark reality of what they've voted for will become apparent.
Right now it's all "Bernie Bro's are destroying the party". Remove Sanders from the equation then all the news media will be on Biden's gaffes and his arguments with voters.
Progressives should also now organise to protest every biden rally on his policies.

The general election will come down to the corona virus affecting the economy.if I was Bernie, I'd drop out now so Biden gets absolutely mauled by his gaffs and political history for the next few months. Once bernie is out, then the stark reality of what they've voted for will become apparent.

why not? Biden is going to win, why not make it as uncomfortable as possible?
Have the media focus solely on Biden, they will begin to cover his arguments with voters, it will get good ratings. Have protests at every rally and just make this uncomfortable.
The general election will come down to the corona virus affecting the economy.
I can see how Republicans like yourself might feel bullish about Trump, but the result in November is too unpredictable to call right now.
If I had to guess, I reckon you'll get another 4 years. But it would only be a guess.
You hate them equally? They have totally different policies. Do you follow politics?HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, mate not only am I an Australian that has been a Labor voter my entire life, i'm probably one more GFC away from growing my beard out and accepting marxism as my lord and saviour
Just because I hate biden doesn't mean i also don't hate Trump. I hate them equally as they should be hated equally.

Bernie will prefer Biden to win instead of Trump, so he is not going to make it as uncomfortable for Biden as possible (and neither was Biden going to do it if they swapped places). You can expect Bernie to campaign for Biden.if I was Bernie, I'd drop out now so Biden gets absolutely mauled by his gaffs and political history for the next few months. We lost (banned?) RD, only to replace him with... RD 2.0...?
But you advocate for Bernie to weaken Biden's campaign in order to make Trump winning more likely?I hate them as people equally. They are both horrific human beings that have used their political powers for horrific purposes. Biden has better policies than Trump.
Saying progressives should make things uncomfortable for Biden by protesting his record, saying biden has better policies than trump, and providing a personal opinion that i hate both people is ban worthy?
If so, then i'm happy to stop with the posts on personal opinions on the Candidates, but I think progressives should be organising to hold Biden accountable at his rallies.

I appreciate that you're Aussie, but that the kind of thinking a Republican would have.
That's petty and self-defeating.I believe Biden should be held accountable for his entire political history by progressives. If they don't like that, then maybe they should've chosen a better candidate.
Republicans fall in line with whatever lunatic they put up as their candidate, no matter their political or personal opinions as long as it unifies their base.

You’re quite right.Republicans fall in line with whatever lunatic they put up as their candidate, no matter their political or personal opinions as long as it unifies their base.
Certainly hope no one gets thread banned for just that. But it's a strong opinion. Such strong opinions have led other posters to be a bit acrimonious in the past.Saying progressives should make things uncomfortable for Biden by protesting his record, saying biden has better policies than trump, and providing a personal opinion that i hate both people is ban worthy?

That's what the primaries are for. Progressives could've "held him accountable" by turning out en masse and propelling Sanders to victory. But they didn't.
What's the issue with holding him accountable to his past during the GE? It's his history? He voted for certain things, he created legislation that has had enormous negative impacts on communities. I kind of see that as the last hope of the democratic party. I don't want the democratic party to be the centre-right version of the GOP. History matters. The GOP can deny reality every time they choose a new leader, I don't want that for the democrats.
You’re quite right.
Hence why they’re always confident about beating the Democrats.
That's what elections are for. You make your case and hope the voters will listen. If they don't then you've failed to make a convincing case.
The Democrats will lose every presidential election they contest against a galvanized GOP as they struggle against their own candidate in the General Election. What's the issue with holding him accountable to his past during the GE? Nice line! Still very true.Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line.
And how does having Trump for another 4 years help the progressives for any of the issues they care for?Exactly, Sanders failed to make a winning case against Biden, now the progressives should continue to hold him accountable. If that makes him "uncomfortable" then that's his problem.
