I don't think many people realise just how big of deal this is or how difficult a subject it is to push on the general. Bernie is really putting to the test to see how possibly stupid the american public is. He's doing a great job so far.its a disgrace that bernie is only 2020 candidate in favor of universal suffrage
this is a terrible idea. foh with that shit

No one is opposed to ‘people having a career before joining politics’. What Buttyboy did was having the world opened to him and ended up choosing to join one of the worst, shadiest corporate entity possible.People having had a career in the real world before they join politics should be a good thing; not something to be used against them. I would rather that than someone who hasn't a clue how things work out there in the real world.
These sorts of attacks do seem desperate.
Don't know about that. It seems very subjective what is judged a worthwhile career as opposed to a 'careerist'.
Progressives claim to be all about policy and then they attack a guy on nothing more tenuous than his career choices. What would you rather a guy do? Refuse the chance to go to Harvard? Consider every career decision as to whether or not it fits progressive ideals?
There is no reason why a guy with his resume should not hold the same values progressives do; it is just that they have labelled him a 'careerist' and therefore, somehow, not credible as a progressive. Strikes me as mere reverse snobbery.
I wasn't arguing that he is strong on policy. Only that 'careerist' attacks run counter to progressives claims their focus is policy.
I think the point is, with these policies only apparent in newspaper articles, he won't be easily held to account if they don't come to fruition. Besides, they are pretty vague most of them.If you know how to use the internet, ignore this post.
If you don't know how to use the internet and you want to know about Buttigieg's policies, or where he stands on important issues, here is some help:
1. Google it:
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=buttigieg+policies
2. Use wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Buttigieg_2020_presidential_campaign#Political_positions
3. Read ELLE, the women's magazine. Apparently they can search the web!

I hope I have helped some of you! Cheers!

Buttigieg is an advocate for the statehood of Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico, "if they want it."[34]
I think he will struggle with the debates. Plenty of other bland candidates, with way more charisma.I don't think Biden stands a chance.

Yeah, against who though? Ryan and Palin aren't exactly formidable opponents. He’s actually a decent debater. His main challenge will be to gain traction with minorities and younger voters.
