He's not the messiah; and I should know, I've followed a few.

Will be interesting to see if he can sustain the momentum going into June when we have the first DNC debates.

Think some people in this thread are going to be surprised/disappointed when Pete is still around next year.

Pretty sure Biden will take a good number of votes from him once he announces since they are both in the same lane.
It’s weird. When I first heard Buttigieg talk, he seemed to have had all the progressive ideas on his plate.

Is there any kind of totally legit not illegal CNN stream for a guy without cable TV who isn’t me? Would appreciate it.

Think he's more progressive than he's given credit for. Likely because he brings up religion a lot which is likely an automatic disqualifier for some. Think he has a good approach on how to sell the Green New Deal to mainstream individuals for example. Think his push for increased national service can be seen as socialist by some. Where he will be more centrist is foreign policy I imagine.

It's gotta be Bernie. Love Warren policy wise but she's an awful politician.

Surprised she's still around. The Pocahontas episode was worrying and showed that Trump would control her narrative if she runs in the general.

Bernie face at the soviet union question. Also asking that question on todays all days is just plain disrespectful.

I have no problem with Bernie raising taxes on the wealthy. Just think it is naive to see that as the primary way to fund universal education. I would rather see focus towards reducing the cost of education by optimizing the way education is delivered. The college system is way too bloated and inefficient and a lot of money can be saved by cutting it down. I would rather see this than just throwing money at it and propagating this bad system.

This is where Yang comes through well. He actually brings up administrative bloat and the fact that we overprescribe college in his extensive talks.

Ya I think by addressing that, it will become a lot cheaper for government to ensure universal education and importantly make it sustainable. Of course this doesnt address the preconceived notions that a Harvard education is better than an online education which is increasingly not the case anymore. This will cause inequality even in a universal education system. What makes Harvard exceptional are the people they attract to their campus, not the education they provide. Somehow that has to be stressed or incentivized for employers.

It’s the networking that you get with prestigious universities that other universities don’t provide. At Harvard for example, you’re essentially attending class with potential world leaders and other powerful folks. Also some of these places have very high profile professors.

The reparation question is completely unfair for any candidate. Actual reparations would cost trillions and trillions of dollars and would be impossible to get through any political body. But saying this makes you sound like you don't give a shit about the history of racism.

And it’s way more than just black people who can make a claim for reparations. But I honestly cringe at the idea in the first place.

Yeah the Native Americans and the genocide they faced. Is it even possible to put a amount of dollars on something like that.

Adolf Reed is very good on this.
