His presidency is a failure. He cleared the field for a candidate with record unfavorables and decades of baggage and then watched her lose to a rapist.

This country is a hollowed out shell. The post industrial midwest is a wasteland. Flint, Gary, Youngstown, Milwaukee - Obama didn't do shit for any of these people. We tie katrina around bush and rightfully so but flint still doesnt have clean water and Obama is wakeboarding with Richard Branson. This country is in crisis and Obama is producing Netflix shows. Hes a coward. feck him and all the other corporate Democrats who sold out the middle of this country to billionaires and corporations.

Their role in american politics is to convince us that we cant do any better, that we have to live like this. That we have to accept tens of thousands in student loan debt and an opioid crisis. That we need to crush workers under the boots of tech companies. That there is no option but to send jobs overseas and give huge bonuses to bankers. That healthcare is too expensive and housing isnt a right. Democrats are the enemy of progress. They are the enemy of working people. They are enriching themselves with dnc jobs and think tank consultancies.

Dont you dare scold those of us who have been ground up for decades by both parties of complicity. Take it up with the democratic party and with Obama and Hillary.

You bitch and moan about Hillary, Obama and every other member of that political party but are totally passive when it comes to the fecking disaster that is the GOP, who have quite frankly been poison to this country for the las 40 years. You're blaming Obama for flint water and not once mentioned Governor Schneider. You criticize Hillary for her by most accounts an excellent charity taking money ftom Saudis but ignore that she has gone out on a limb and criticized their treatment of women and the fact that the trump foundation is a fraudulent con.
You seem have failed utterly to understand the political reality of this country right now. 25% of this country believes that Hillary Clinton is head of an international pedophile ring. The sane and reasonable minds of this country need people like you to fight even harder for a progressive agenda but it has to be done sensibly and over time. The ACA was not an end product but a platform to build on so don't piss all over it. Democrats work in the constraints of the system yet you blame them for fecking everything. Reagan, Clinton and W have fecked us all but to blame Obama for you're frustration is ridiculous in my opinion.

Votes for Kerry 59.03m, votes for Hillary 65.84m

If it's just population growth, how comes the difference between 2 winning GOP candidates is less than 1m, yet Hillary got over 6m more votes than Kerry?

or was Kerry the "2nd worst candidate ever"?

Trump (-16) was up against Hillary (-15).
Romney (+4) was up against Obama (+9 approval in Nov 12). McCain (+10) vs Obama (+20 popularity in Nov 08).

It's not so hard to figure this one out.

Kerry got 59.03 million of a voting age population of 219.5 million (26.8%) and a registered voter number of 142.07 million (41.6%)
Clinton got 65.84 million of a voting age population of 250.06 million (26.3%) and a registered voter number of 157.6 million (41.8%)

Bush got 44.3% of registered voters, Trump only managed 39.4%.

While Trump did a lot worse than Bush, Hillary managed to only keep pace with Kerry despite facing a much less popular candidate.

That area is constantly gerrymandered to give it Republican base. Even with the non-partisan gerrymandering in California a few of those central California districts are always manipulated for Republicans. This is a great tool if you haven't seen it that tracks how Congressional Districts get changed over time. Fun to look up your own
