Someone tweeted to Erick Ericksson 'In Earth 2, Rubio is crushing Hillary with a 10 point win blah blah'. I replied 'In Earth 3, Chris Christie ate Marco Rubio'. He retweeted it and it got plenty of likes :nervous:

In the US the networks try to refrain from calling states early. Though when you see early voting numbers already being release, all the freaking poll data we get bombarded with, etc You wonder what is the point. But there are down ballot effects, if networks call enough states early then people further west start thinking why bother voting, which may not change the national races, but might affect the local ones.

The reality is though as results start coming in, the networks share them, even if they don't officially "call a state"

It really is no big deal to wait until later.
I meant the will start calling individual states way before all 50 states polls close.

Jesus wept... maybe the next President needs to address those drug adverts. Just saw one for 'Invokana'. They're talking about all of the benefits, and then go on to list a shit ton of possible side effects.

Anyone got recommendations for twitter follows for tonight, early results and analysis and whatnot?

Silver's Polls Plus, Polls Only, and Now Cast have finally converged into one final number.

Hillary has a 71.6% chance of winning today.

Kill all the lawyers. The side effects have to be listed because well if they are not then the lawyers have a field day if anyone has them. The weird part is the possible side effects may not even really be caused by the drug it may just mean that during the trials someone on the medicine had that happen to them, but they don't know for sure it was the drug. OF course they might also be clinically proven side effects, since every drug has some sort of side effect.

The real reason for banning these adverts is that they encourage people to harass their doctors about the drug so that they can get it, because from the adverts it sounds just like the drug to do the trick!

Trump still beating a dead horse - The media are dishonest, the polls are phony, and I will win because I had bigger rally crowds.

The ads can also be driven by what threads you go into it, since google records that info. also.

Not convinced on this. I pretty much check this thread every 10-15 mins (yes I'm a loser) and I don't get any election ads. Perhaps depends if you go to red cafe first then click this thread (which is what I do) or directly go to this thread via google.

whats happeing right now is that people are terrified right now, jobs are disappearing at an alarming rate and people are looking to anyone who will offer some kind of change...... lets hope they don't look to trump though..... he is not the answer.

I am confident that right now people are voting the shit out of Trump.

The real reason for banning these adverts is that prescription drugs should not be advertised - at all. Never.

Those are the side effects found during the trial. They have to list them. It is nonsense that drug adverts are allowed. "Talk to your doctor about..."

The unemployment rate have been declining steadily under Obama.

Just as I'm reading this, there's an advert saying that you could be entitled to compensation because of what a cancer drug may have done to you. I'd laugh if it wasn't so sad. I feel bad for the generation of people who think that's a normal approach to achieving a healthy lifestyle.

I find it absurd how they're talking about how much of a great drug it is and then list so many possible side effects. They should absolutely be banned. There's been more mentions of America's opioid addiction of late. Only a few hours of American television and I think I'm starting to understand such problems better.
