Not sure how up to date these lists are but the US will soon be moving from one to the other! Hurrah!

Also, local news pointing out the increased number of visits to Susan B Anthony's grave site in the last few weeks and many showing up today. More people putting their "I Voted Today" stickers on her grave stone, which is not uncommon but I expect there to be more today.
People should also go to Alice Paul's grave. Poor woman was tortured for campaigning for the vote.

Christ. Just get this ridiculous over the top shite over with.
Someone should shoot both of these feckers.

Or you know, stop watching it. I know it gets world wide news coverage and interest, but I would imagine you can get away from the worst of it if you wanted to.

It's like Fox News, I just don't fecking watch it and therefore I stopped having he hear the nonsense they spew.

One more reason I am glad I "cut the cord" is that I watch very little "network TV" and thus do not have to see all the political ads.

Don't feck this up, America :nervous:

I hope there is no violence between trumps poll watchers and the black panthers. They seem fairly jovial here but how long will it last.

I live in a district represented at the state and local level by democrats in almost every elected office. If anybody was gonna get poll watchers, it would be us.

No one expects her to win SC though, that's the point.

Hopefully those with ideas won't drive to NC and cause troubles.

When can we know exit polls and stuff?
I think that there won't be exit polls until the voting is entirely finished. Which would be a bit weird.

I was reading somewhere that state exit polls are actually released once state voting closes so actually you will have a situation where exit polls in the east are out before voting ends in the west.

It's actually not that surprising since a lot of states are officially called before others have stopped voting.

Election Day is finally here. Tonight should be a good one (all the polls have her winning).

Final polls look good after blip. Markets rise at anticipated result. Nothing familiar there :nervous:

Yeah I know but I was wondering what time voting close at each state.

I still maintain that Hilary has totally messed up her campaign.

I can easily name 4 or 5 policies that Trump would like to implement and feel like I know his manifesto very well: Eg Mexico wall, temporarily ban muslims, deport illegal immigrants override ObamaCare, investigate Hilary, end China export subsidies,

Im struggling to specifically recall any Hilary policies except that she thinks Trump is not fit to serve.

I may find Trump's policies abhorrent, and I assume Hilary is more inclusive and liberal, but I dont really know what she wants to do. Im sure this has been pointed out to her during this campaign, but she failed to nail that.

Surely they will start calling states way before California polls close.

In the US the networks try to refrain from calling states early. Though when you see early voting numbers already being release, all the freaking poll data we get bombarded with, etc You wonder what is the point. But there are down ballot effects, if networks call enough states early then people further west start thinking why bother voting, which may not change the national races, but might affect the local ones.

The reality is though as results start coming in, the networks share them, even if they don't officially "call a state"

It really is no big deal to wait until later.

Investigate Hillary is a policy?

I think you just remember his headlines, Hilary's are there if you look.

I'm not from the US, so I only have a limited view from the outside, but to me it seems like no matter who win the election tonight the country (or political system/culture) already lost. How big do you guys think the collateral damage caused by the election battle is?

False equivalency is bad. Don't do it.

But her campaign is not based on what she WILL do. Its what she won't do, i.e. any of the policies you remember about Trump. :)

Safe voting strategy if you ask me.

Trump is intentionally gimmicky. He's taken up a few positions (mostly daft) on certain issues and constantly bleated on about them. And that's sure as hell a lot more "catchy" than making actual sense. And it's up to the voters to look beyond the surface/gimmickery and seek genuine content.

Investigate Hillary is a policy?

In other words: You only remember the policies that have been the laughing stock of everyone except Trump's supporters.
