I'm not sure how a different GOP candidate would do a better job, it's pretty clear that Trump has a unique appeal to the basket of deplorables and I doubt they'd be turning out in such numbers if it was someone like Ryan or Rubio running against her.

She's pretty much been able to hold onto the Obama coalition, perhaps replacing some African Americans with Hisapnics.

Than who? Trump, or Hillary?

A central right moderate Republican would give Hillary a much tougher contest. It's amazing how much her campaign has got by on the "look, we can't let him get in the White House" line. It's also a testament to her... blandness, that despite facing a charlatan, the election is close.

If there is a closest Trump vote, with HRC not getting as much as black vote lto this election is really going to be too close to call.

Obama has been speaking on this recently. Yes, there is voter suppression going, but also, Hillary's platform isn't as inspiring as getting behind the first black president. Especially amongst the younger black voters; the older contingent love the Clintons.

Nah, that's just an easy way out. I know it's hard to admit, but the plain truth of the matter is this. Some people are just wrong. There are educated Republicans and those won't vote for Trump. But the rest are made up from either brainwashed, ignorant or the truly idiotic, stupid, uneducated or plain moronic, but then you also have the truly hateful nasty feckers!

Some you can feel sorry for, some you can sympathise with, some you can even try to rationalise with, but the rest are pure scum.

That story above about the 12 year old with cerebral palsy getting pushed around and removed from a Trump rally is the worst I have seen the whole campaign. After reading that, I agree with Rads, anyone supporting Drumpf is a complete and utter cnut.
Star feckers. These are the kind of people who would meet someone like Pope Francis and instead of looking him in the eye and shaking his hand will turn their back to try and get a selfie. They queue up outside an airplane hanger telling each other that "he's just like us" and cheer the bile of a man who has just landed while he stands in front of his own plane that they are now paying for. A couple of hours later he is back at his penthouse gold plated hotel lobby and they are at home thinking "he thinks just like me, bigly". 2020 will be fun, who do we think it will be that will take Trumps place on the stage with sixteen other white men, one token black and a woman? My bet is the Kardashian mom/dad, and the evangelicals will love him/her, if he/she grows a beard he would look just like Jesus.

But they will. They may not push people around at rallies and have Trump stickers on their car, but they can afford the risks of a Trump presidency, and they do not want a president in the White House that will raise their taxes and push an aggressive liberal agenda.

This. People are putting too much faith in too many educated republicans. A lot of them are still going to 'vote their party'. No matter what. They hate Clinton and they hate taxes

I'm doing the all nighter on Tuesday night too. Anyone recommend good channels to watch all unwind?

Faux News is a given, anything else?

 right?!

Racist? Fine
Sexist? Fine
Mocking the disabled? Fine
Insuling veterans families? Fine.

Late to speak when I'm waiting? Too far, mister!
I think it shows how much the 'Trump cares for us' drives them. Nothing about policies or values. He makes them feel noticed. The indication that he doesn't care and that they're being led on is probably terrifying even for reasons they don't understand.

Some of these people are hysterical, and I don't mean funny

Couldn't agree more with that.

Ryan and Rubio would get no where near the nomination for their party unless it splits. 40% of that party is run by nut cases that want to destroy this country and the other 60% will just go along with it. Anyways Rubio is a fecking robot with a lot of baggage and a poor senate record, Ryan wants to privatize you're life.

KellyAnne Conway said (this morning as I was falling asleep) that her campaign thinks they have a 54% chance of winning the election.

She also says she's going to put the Poll industry out of business too. And on top of that she's getting increasingly smarmy, narky and spiteful in her interviews.

No wonder, since she will not get a job managing a high school president campaign after this.

What - just what if she is right????

We'll have to wait and see but I have seen way too many elections happen against the polls with a 3/4% swing

Conservatives (under major)
Fianna Fail (2015 & 2011)
Nice Treaty referendum
Labour (under Brown)
Conservative Majority (2015)

There is a clear sizeable percentage of voters who do not vote as they declare on polls and oftemy vote for an unpopular choice of candidate.

An exit poll is more accurate.

This seems about right going into the final day....

Do they have ME-2 as Dem leaning there? Fairly happy with that going into election day, now just need to hope for good turnout.

US polling is more robust because you've got plenty of state polling to give context to the national numbers, as well as early voting to check turnout levels and electorate composition. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't still worried that the polls might be off because I've gone into too many election nights expecting one thing only to get battered around the face with reality in the last few years, but UK polling isn't a perfect comparison.

She said on Joe Scouseborough this morning that Clinton has run the most hateful and dishonest in history. These people are unbelievable but the four other people at that desk said nothing to her and just smiled. Some of the trump coverage from MSNBC has been disgraceful and those two every morning have been one of the worst.

The end of the world as we know it, mate. Seriously, complete and utter feckwittery on a scale unknown even to the most moronic Americans. But even with a Clinton win I think the USA is headed for trouble, maybe even worse as the morons will revolt and kick off left, right and centre.

I too agree about the polls BUT! I think that America is slightly different as it's polling in a completely different way and because of the electoral college voting system. I also think that Drumpf has upset far too many women, Asians, Muslims, African Americans, Jewish Americans, etc, whatever, basically if it lives and breathes then he has upset them at some point in this campaign, so you have to think it's going to be nearly impossible for him to win and the only reason it's close is because it suits the media for it to be close so they can keep pedalling this horsehit to the viewers. That is my hope though, and I sincerely hope it's right.

Yeah, well she knows differently and you can tell that because she herself said that Drumpf was nasty and awful BEFORE she went to work for him, so of course now she's being paid by him she changes her tune, but she knows deep down and that makes her even worse in my opinion.

The Romney campaign where "right" and had him winning all the way up to the point of him hastily having to write a concession speech as he was so convinced he thought he didn't need one. Never ever underestimate the delusion in the fart bubble of conservative republicanism.
