I don't know. Seeing an alleged rape victim may be a tipping point for many especially if she describes a ruined childhood. most voters would not read these stories. They need to be in their face, unfortunately.

Edit. I've read the stories previously but not noticed that guardian photo before. They spent time picking that one!

Do you have numbers for "conservatives" or "Republicans" for Gore. Because there is always cross-over.

Nader cost Gore more than Perot cost Bush. A lot of Nader voters' second choice was Gore i.e. they'd have voted for Gore in a two man race. Perot voters were kind of evenly split on their second choice.

Ultimately though Gore should've won regardless. Strong economy and popular incumbent. He just wasn't a good candidate. That he won the popular vote despite being uninspiring says something.

Can't find Florida specific exit poll data but nationally, the breakdown was

Dems - 87-11 (2 for Nader)
GOP - 8-91 (1 for Nader)
Libs - 81-13 (6 for Nader)
Cons - 17-82 (1 for Nader)

Only 60% of Nader voters had the voting patterns of Democrats.
The Florida exit poll, which found too few Nader respondents, was won by Bush 49-47, while the final margin (which obviously includes Nader) was a few deimal points.
Bush won 13% of liberals vs 6% for Nader.
50% of registered Florida Democrats stayed at home.
The strongest support for Nader by income was among those earning <15k/year.


Given these facts, to say that privileged naive liberals who were being idealistic were the primary factor in Gore's defeat is problematic. It is apparent he didn't excite his base, at all.

I know, it's some scary shit. The fact he says everyone else is brainwashed only makes it worse.

Only today, 2 police officers killed by a lunatic Trump supporter with guns, a black church has been burned down and "vote Trump" sprayed on the wall under the burned out windows. The KKK officially endorse Donald Trump and a rape victim has received numerous death threats and cancelled a press conference.

And on the Clinton side of the fence.......

It's reported the FBI think there is definitely classified info on Wieners computer, AND it's reported the FBI are investigating the Clinton Foundation in a 2nd investigation and it's said up to 30 pay to play and bribery/corruption laws might have been broken.

The lady in that first clip is obviously mentally unwell. The young guy seems relatively normal other than being an idiot, which is kind of shocking in its own way given how brainwashed he is

Oh, I agree, but nearly all the videos of Drumpf supporters are like that. They are all over the top, loud, obnoxious, unstable, erratic, aggressive...... I've seen a few with down to earth and rational supporters, but very, very few. And that includes live reports too where the interviewers just stop random people, so obviously it's not just propaganda where they only show the loonies. It is very worrying.

Down to 7/4 in a lot of places now - not sure if thats just a movement due to betting volumes or if bookies are beginning to think its becoming a more realistic possibility.

Worth noting that I think brexit was longer odds about a week out than trump is now... also the odds of an outright conservative majority a week before the last election must have been around that (or higher)

Dems just had a huge day of early voting, 4800 edge in Clark Cty. (NV), total ~ 55k lead (magic number = 60k, 2 days of early voting left). FL all across the board in Palm Beach, Miami Dade and Broward. OH nearly back to 2012 level (Cuyahoga now 3% behind, Franklin ~ 1.5%). Good number out of NC as well.

Its an astonishing failure from her and her campaign team and is because she has focused on anti Trump rather than articulate why her presidency would be better for all Americans, republicans included.

She has basically answered the wrong question.

Its BrExit all over again.
