2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

OK. Clinton still the projected winner on 538, but it's gone from 85-15 (or thereabouts) to 70-30. Maybe those Republicans put off by Trump have just conceded that they have to vote for him based on party lines and are moving the polls somewhat as the day looms nearer. I don't see Clinton supporters switching, and she has a bigger base.
I'd feel so confident were it not for Brexit flashbacks. x

I'm still trying to work out how a computer simulation is used to predict an election. Are we supposed to be plugged in? Is it stealing people's thoughts while they sleep?
And people quote it like it's da troot.
:wenger:

My gut feeling is that most Americans don't give a feck anymore. It was the talk of the office a couple of weeks ago, by now everyone I know has decided who they are voting for, and the campaigning has become white noise. Hillary will win for sure, but probably won't be a total landslide. Minorities and women are going overwhelmingly for Hillary. Nothing she or Donald does, can sway that.

Don't you hate those people?

Its a statistical model, adjusted for past elections and their polls, and the computer is just used to simulate 2,000 or so elections with the current parameters.

Mate.

What are you on.

This thread is an excellent example of how cable news/media at large's sensationalism have shaped people's way of thinking and perception of importance.

With the World Series being on between two teams who haven't won in an age. No one gives a feck about the rest of the news right now.

If there's any more Trump dirt, they should drop it after a potential game 7. America is transfixed right now.

Florida early voting..3.7m
Clinton 48%
Trump 40%

Clinton winning 28% of registered republican early voters according to TargetSmart survey.
Yaye ya ya this is huge.

Your face is an example of sensationalism.

I wish. :(
This thread shows people have opinions.
Your statement is a bit of dust in the wind. If your going to call out a whole forum explain what you mean.

There's a dearth of high quality polls now because news orgs won't spend anymore money, what we have in their place are low quality polls. Most of them have shown no discernible mass movement towards Drumpf like the panic here suggests. (Of what we have past few days, 12 show C leading, 1 with T, guess which one is flogged in the media and by campaigns for fundraising purpose?)

Check the early voting, check registration number, look at where and how they are spending resources. Form an educated opinion instead of wetting yourself at the slightest hint of 'October/November surprise'.

Is the ABC/Washington post credible? Has Trump leading by a point.. Just saw it in the papers.

At first I thought it was the Murdoch paper.. but realized its owned by Bezos.. Not really a right wing mouthpiece, is it?

It was +12(or 14?) Clinton last week.
The nationwide vs states don't add up. She has it.

Man you're up your own ass.

It most definitely isn't a right-wing outlet. That doesn't mean they're correct either though.

Form an educated opinion? There's way smarter people on this forum that you or I.

Where did you get the impression that I implied they are uneducated?

If you don't put the effort in, your level of education is irrelevant to attaining an understanding of specific issues.

If you disagree with what I said, feel free to pick holes in them, then I'm happy to debate.

It's possible to follow all the right people on twitter, read all the right reports about early voting and polling methodologies, and still shit yourself because the stakes are so huge.

Not sure how that works.. but pretty much everyone else reporting Clinton as the clear favourite... so this is very much an exception to the norm.

Of course not.. But it might suggest its a lot closer than anyone would have liked at this stage.
