2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

Giuliani and Gingrich have been atrocious this cycle. They obviously know what's in store in a couple of weeks.

If you're gonna go down the daft conspiracy route, the whole "he's a Clinton stooge" is by far the most intriguing...

But the Alt-Right have invested way too much in the cult of the Donald to pay any lip service to that.

Yeah that's an interesting theory too, all very close at some point. Does make you wonder.

Regarding previous questions, I think the press like to give anything regarding the white house and scandal a "something-gate" name. Doesn't necessarily mean it's about voter fraud.
When I say rigged I think this election has been rigged from the off. Rigged against Bernie, of that there can be no denying, if Bernie were in the running we'd not be having this discussion now.
Rigged now in favour of Clinton. Ive read suggestion more people in the US want her indicted than in office, and she's only got support from something like 8% of the country.

You don't seem to know what rigged means.

Also, any suggestion you've read most likely came from a website with a, shall we say, less than unimpeachable reputation.

Of course you have.

I'm certain that Hillary has been preparing for this election since she conceded in 2008 to Obama. On top of that, she's been more favorable with the super delegates since she started her campaign. Then combine that with her network of some powerful organizations and you basically have a Goliath of a candidate. Bernie had nowhere close to the level of preparation she had. I wouldn't necessarily call that rigging. And I'm a Bernie supporter saying this.

Also on your last point, that is preposterous. I'd like to know where you read that.

Trump has tainted himself far too much to the point that a lot of the GOP is doing their best to distance themselves from him in order to preserve their own political careers. This is also timed with the general shift of American demographics being more diverse and relatively left of the spectrum compared to the past. The GOP is continuing to spiral down for as long as they are associated with being a far right party as that ideology is most definitely not representative of the majority of the country. And that's just on political rhetoric alone. Combine all of that with recent news of his groping, sexual assault, and potentially underage sex parties, and well... you get the picture. He'll be better off taking money from suckers in the form of his own media outlet where he can continue to stroke his own ego.

Cheers for that.. I was wondering if there was any party based regulation where one couldn't stand up for the second time as the presidential nominee. For instance, if Romney were to be present this time around, he would probably have won.

With a clean run, perhaps, but he was tainted in the same by his previous run. A busted flush.

IN YET another dramatic twist in US election 2016, current American President Barack Obama has vowed to do another four year term if it will mean either Republican and Democrat candidates are kept away from office.

Speaking at the last minute press conference called by the president, Mr. Obama said he could not let this ‘joke continue’, stating he will do everything in his power to stop Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump from taking control.

“I cannot stand by and let this happen anymore,” Obama began, “It is my duty as the president of the United States of America to protect this great nation, even if it is from itself. F**k this shit, I’ll do another four years!”

The president was greeted with a standing ovation from members of the press, some even crying with relief.

“Oh, thank God!” screamed one NBC news reporter, “We’re saved. We’re all saved!”

Mr. Obama soaked up the applause, wiping a single tear from his cheek, before chanting ‘four more years’, over and over again to the crowd, who were by now also repeating the phrase. The 55-year-old was then hoisted onto a journalist’s shoulder and paraded around the White House press room to cheers of admiration.

Meanwhile, millions of Americans have taken to the streets to celebrate not having to elect either Trump or Clinton, with many people promising never to let this mistake happen, ever again.

It is understood the president will officially call an end to the election later this week.

With all this talk that Hillary will 'definitely lose' in 2020, is it not worth considering that she might not even run for a second term?

She's 69 (today, happy birthday Hillary!) already, will she really be up for another 4 years at the age of 73?

Politics of Fear? Nah, that's just not Trump's style...
Trump: Clinton's foreign policy plan would start WW3

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has said his rival Hillary Clinton's foreign policy plan in Syria would trigger World War Three. He also said the US should focus on defeating so-called Islamic State (IS) rather than removing Syria's president. Mrs Clinton has proposed a no-fly zone over Syria. The top US military chief has said that could spell conflict with Russian jets in the region.

The Clinton campaign accused Mr Trump of "playing to Americans' fears".

Mr Trump also attacked Republicans for not uniting behind his candidacy.

"If we had party unity, we couldn't lose this election to Hillary Clinton," he told Reuters news agency at Trump National Doral golf resort in Miami, Florida.

The Republican standard-bearer struck an apocalyptic tone when criticising his Democratic rival's plan to control Syrian air space.

"You're going to end up in World War Three over Syria if we listen to Hillary Clinton," Mr Trump said.

"You're not fighting Syria any more, you're fighting Syria, Russia and Iran, all right?

"Russia is a nuclear country, but a country where the nukes work as opposed to other countries that talk."

Mr Trump suggested there should be a refocus away from the long-held US position of trying to remove Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, saying: "What we should do is focus on IS. We should not be focusing on Syria."

He also suggested Mrs Clinton would be unable to talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin after her sharp criticism of him.

Mr Trump questioned "how she is going to go back and negotiate with this man who she has made to be so evil" if she is elected president on 8 November.

The Clinton campaign dismissed the criticism, saying both Republican and Democratic national security experts have denounced Mr Trump as unfit to be commander-in-chief.

I get that, but you're making an assumption that this time the original group selection is faulty. With no evidence of that other than its consistently different to other polls (whilst at the same time being consistent). Yet they were consistently different to other polls in last three elections, and in fact as the link showed, other polls tend to 'herd' their polls to ensure they are closer to the average closer to election times, which the TIPP one does not. Which would further explain the disparity.

Also, if it did happen to have a group of people with an initial republican bias then you would still expect/hope for a significant swing to dems given what has happened, which just hasnt occurred in their group as it supposedly has with others.

Cant for the life of me see him winning, but i just think its going to be a lot closer than people think

By the way, the TIPP poll now has Clinton in front as well.

The no fly zone idea from Hillary is absolutely nuts. On what planet does it seem a good idea to shoot down Russian planes? :wenger:

Even her would be top generals say it's an awful idea that would provoke war with Russia.

You do realise, even in your weird little world, that a no fly zone does not mean shooting down Russian planes?

Well considering that Russian planes are the main ones soaring the Syrian airspace, how would you enforce it then genius?

You really never read the proposal have you? And you dont have even the slightest idea of how such a zone would work do you?
The idea is to get the Russians to accept that a mutual No Fly Zone will be enforced against the Syrian airforce, which is the main airforce bombarding civilians. Putin is bluffing right now, he's been for almost 5 years. He would accept if forced to.
