"You know what the magic word, the only thing that matters in American sexual mores today is? One thing," the conservative commentator said, according to audio released by Media Matters for America. "You can do anything — the left will promote and understand and tolerate anything — as long as there is one element. Do you know what it is? Consent.

"If there is consent on both or all three or all four, however many are involved in the sex act, it's perfectly fine. Whatever it is. But if the left ever senses and smells that there's no consent in part of the equation, then here come the rape police. But consent is the magic key to the left."

These bloody liberals, not tolerating rape.

This is the same feckwit who said Hurricane Matthew was exaggerated by the left as global warming propaganda. How are these people getting elected?

He's a radio host, to be fair. A hero to conservatives.

Anyone listen to Michelle Obama's speech?
Just the bits and pieces that CNN broadcasted. CNN's panel of mainly women (I remember among others Gloria Whateverhernameis-ChiefPoliticalCorrespondent and Susan Page from WP IIRC) were over the moon. Her best speech ever, from a woman to women, very bipartisan.
I found Michelle very energetic but also a tad too emotional, her voice seem to break sometimes in a whiny way. But I'm German and Angela Merkel is elected Chancelor so I guess I'm biased towards emotional female politicians. ;)

Anyone see Pamela Anderson on C4 News? She was asked about when she met Trump and if he groped her or anything like. She said he didn't as his wife was there but said something along the lines of "a bit creepy and I knew to steer clear of him because I'd heard the stories". When probed she said she had heard from girlfriends and other celebrities who knew what he was like, that there was a reputation.

It sounded remarkably Savile like.

I really like to believe you. I wish it was already November 9 and the world wakes up a better place because Trump failed to become elected US president.

He failed already. He's just working his exit tactics now. I'm more interested in the fallout that follows the election. Just hope that his meltdown will be a harmless one, because he has already brought enough bad publicity for America.

Pam Anderson and Drumpf. What could possibly go wrong.

It is worrying that the run up to the election will essentially consist of him claiming that every single mainstream organisation in America is out to get him and orchestrated a corrupt election. Given the amount of people who seem to blindly follow him, that's bound to result in further disillusionment.

Jennifer Palmieri has stated that she doesn't recognize the email leaked by Wikileaks that she allegedly sent criticizing Catholics and has pointed out that she is Catholic herself.

Thought I post this transcript of the CNN Townhall Meeting with Hillary Clinton from June 2014, before she officially announced she'll run for office.

It's vaguely in the timeframe of her paid speeches, I think, so a comparison on her 'public' stance on things can be checked against the ones leaked in e-mails or on her positions today. The moderator is Christiane Amanpour who opens the town hall with a question on Libya, the first question from the audience is on Iraq and ISIS. Frankly, what she says regarding Iraq makes till today an awful lot of sense, and you can sense how much she was struggling between loyalty to Obama and her own view. The bolded sentence strikes me to show so much the difference of her to Trump:
CLINTON: Well, I said we should have done it, you know, two plus years ago. But I want to be very clear, these are difficult, hard choices if it was so self-evident that everybody should have done this, we wouldn't be sitting here talking about what we didn't do, but we might be talking about the consequences of what we did do.

Trump would claim that decisions are easy to make, foolproof, always lead to the desired outcome.

He's given every conspiracy theory nut in America the license to believe even more devoutly. He's encouraged many of worst elements in American society to come out of the woodwork. He's ramped up division, bile, hatred. And now he's starting to paint democracy and the system of government itself as the enemy.

This is all music to ears of every 'backwoods survivalist', Jesus Army believer and gun freak there is.

Good video from the The Guardian today, touches on the link @Mockney posted

As sad as that video is, the truth of the truth is that, things like these are inevitable. As technology progresses, jobs that depend on antiquated industries industries will suffer. The lady at the beginning kept complaining that the coal mines have shut down. In 2016, what are we supposed to use coal for?
People have to understand that nothing is constant, employment is always going to be flexible. I have heard people in the north eastern part of the states. Places like Ohio, complaining that ship building has declined. Why won't ship building decline when there are more efficient means of transporting goods and people?
Trump supporters have to realise, globalization isn't the source of their troubles.

Ohio's disappointing. Could do with one of Florida.

Trump has said today that election day is the last chance for the "survival of our nation".

"This election will determine whether we are a free nation or whether we only have an illusion of democracy".

So if he wins it's democratic, if he loses it's not.

I agree to a large extent but not quite on the last sentence. Globalization can be part of the trouble but at the same time, the very same people take advantage of globalization by their consumption habits, and you can't have the cake and eat it.
I'd also expand from Trump supporters to anyone complaining about globalization, whether in US, Germany, UK, France or elsewhere.
Nobody in these countries would work under the conditions people are doing in China, India, Bangladesh, you name them. And if theoretically all those 'lost' jobs would be brought back and American / German / British / French wages paid, the production costs would skyrocket, making the products not competitive - in particular for those with no or little income.

I understand your point and agree. But in the cases of ship building and coal mining, which i think used to be big in these parts, the thing that has affected them most is technology.
Why would America keep mining coal at high levels in 2016? Even China are scaling back big time on mining coal. As for shipping, aircrafts are a much more effective means of transport. These two industries would have been in decline even if America was an isolationist country.

Screw Wikileaks. The whole point of an organization like that is to be impartial, whereas we know they're allowing themselves to be used as a tool by parties with their own agenda.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump rebuffed political aides’ requests to research his past, people familiar with the matter said, a decision that contributed to his campaign being caught unprepared for the past week’s barrage of claims he mistreated women. Bloomberg Politics' Kevin Cirilli reports on "Bloomberg Markets: Americas."
Useless gimp

That's downright fecking depressing.

Hillary is far from perfect, but she's delivering a hard truth there and trying to offer an alternative option, but her quote gets cut in half and Drumpf the cnut feeds them a load of empty lies just feeding on their desperation.
If one of the reasons to why these communities are in such a awful state, is that they have been abandon by political class for decades or at the very least been used simply for their votes and nothing else. And one of the positives the Democratic nominee has over Republican nominee is that she is of this political class, it’s then hard to see this alternative option been mentioned as anything more than a empty gesture.

But yes feeding on their desperation is the perfect way to put it, the part with Trump wearing the miners hat at the rally with the voiceover of the people in that community is truly depressing. And show just how much of a con man he is.

I image that the coal mining industry was the last big employer in the community. Also as one guy pointed out in the video, some of the people there can't read or write.

Oh, I'm totally with you. It's just that I don't see often that the 'hypocrisy' of many of us is mentioned when we're moaning about globalization. We want to have the cake and eat it, and although that's impossible, we prefer to ingnore it.
Imagine for example a car entirely manufactured in the US (or any of the countries I listed above): All parts fully manufactured here, not a single component imported. Steel made in the US, power for the factories produced by US coal and so on and so forth.
Hardly anybody in the entire US would buy such a car because it would be twice as expensive as a comparable car with components and assembly lines all over the world.
You can witness everywhere that many people, i.e. those with limited budget, go for their best financial option and care less about what's best for the country - but like to moan about job losses due to globalization...
