2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

Most of those are establishment GOP policies.

Yes, and the difference between Little Marco and Lyin' Ted is only how far they'd go to enforce that agenda.

The old boys hate Cruz because he's an arse, who flaunts his extremisms for the world to see, whereas Rubio follows the playbook of 'compassionate conservatism'.

The New England/moderate GOP type like H.W.Bush is dead. Even Kasich was a comparatively hardline rightwinger in Reagan's administration.

The reason that journo knew to go to that county in West Virginia is because of publicly available information, and pollsters use all that data down to the sub-county level. And campaigns (well, one campaign at least) spends millions on doing it themselves to a far greater level of detail.
I really like to believe you. I wish it was already November 9 and the world wakes up a better place because Trump failed to become elected US president.

No big deal. I'm sorry it's just when you referred to the folks in that video as "fortunately they more or less only exist in states Trump will win any way" it touched a bit of a nerve and I overreacted. I feel sorry for folks like that. My wife is from an area in Alabama like that. These folks for the longest time have had not a voice and they've been suckered in by the huckster who is Donald Trump. For all their faults and prejudices they feel they have nowhere to turn and then they get taken in by a two-bit shyster. Believe me I want Donald Trump to lose but I also want people like those folks to have a voice for change.

Let's not romanticise all of them though. There are some nasty, racist hateful people down there.

Romanticize is an odd word in the context of my post. It basically boils down to everybody should have a voice in line with the first amendment. I think a lot of folks in the rural areas of the U.S. feel they have been disenfranchised as far as that right is concerned. They have unfortunately made a huge mistake in throwing in their lot with Donald Trump who does not care about them or their problems in any way, shape or form and could actually do a lot of harm to the country as a whole. Some of these folks are racists, bigots, xenophobes, misogynists etc... and really don't deserve to be heard, but there are an awful lot of good people also who have been taken in by this charlatan.

You get the government that you deserve. I'm not going to sympathize with people twisting themselves into knots to support an idiot like trump when it was obvious from the get-go that he was woefully unqualified to run.

That's a sad video. It's easy to criticise their thinking, but I mean they're literally at rock bottom. Someone promising to re-open the mines and create thousands of jobs is obviously going to do well there. No matter how unlikely it is, it's hope for them.

It breaks my heart to be honest.

Aye, it's easy to be glib and dismiss all Trump supporters as lunatics but the reality is that a lot of them feel left behind because they were left behind. There's no easy answer for that but you can hardly blame them for turning to someone who promises to change it all, even if it's in desperation more than hope.

Egg McMuffin gaining quick but Clinton seems to have maxed out at around 27-29. She won't take it anytime soon unless another bomb drops.

Trump reallty turning it on in Florida. Doing exactly what he needs to do and the crowd supporting him in buckets

you can blame them when they are falling for the big lie

That's downright fecking depressing.

Hillary is far from perfect, but she's delivering a hard truth there and trying to offer an alternative option, but her quote gets cut in half and Drumpf the cnut feeds them a load of empty lies just feeding on their desperation.

Not when the truth means they're stuck being desperate. The lie gives them hope, the truth doesn't.

No, the truth means that they know where they are and can fight for justice. Justice is not necessarily Clinton, but its deffo not Trump

That's easy to say from the outside, but in their desperate situation is easy to understand why they will give a chance to the guy telling them what they want to hear.

I don't understand how anybody could think that a rich, privileged, entitled playboy would give a feck about poor people.

Maybe you could go out and grab a pussy, make yourself better. The person you want is Ted Cruz, even his kids don't want anything to do with him. I'm looking forward to Hillary, at least I know my kids are in safe hands for the next few years at least. If the Dems take the Senate and have a good showing in the house we could see some real investment in this country going forward while the trumpanzees can rationale how they never heard of the implication of Trump in the brutal rape of a 13 year old. Facts don't penetrate the conservative bubble full of idiots and Mountain Dew farts and that is something the GOP need to sort if they want that high office again.
Maybe I'll grab your pussy!! I'll move on you like a bitch

Response from NYT over Trump's threats to sue:

When you're desperate it's surprising what you can convince yourself of.

That Rush Limbaugh audio about consent is scary. I mean it's hilarious. But scary.
This is the same feckwit who said Hurricane Matthew was exaggerated by the left as global warming propaganda. How are these people getting elected?

Edit: yea he's a radio douche, so not elected. Probably would be if he ran though.
