2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

That's a fair point, and I pretty much agree with you there.

Mike Pence has yet again reiterated if Drumpf wins and he becomes VP, he will try to emulate the greatest VP of all time............. Dick Satan Cheney. Feck my life. Do you think he thinks he can control Drumpf and backdoor power like Cheney did? What a scary thought that is.

Also, I do enjoy this tweet I keep seeing everywhere.......... The hypocrisy factor shoots through the roof.

Sigh. I wish people would learn what fascism really is.

Yeah, I must admit I didn't like what he wrote at the bottom of his tweet, but the meme is excellent.

It's OK, the meme. But I'm pretty sure there were bigger things to complain about and those emails would have been a part of that.

Also, "because someone else did it, too" isn't a viable excuse for deplorable behaviour.

House Dems up +10 in the latest Ipsos/Reuters.

No, of course not, it's just the complete and utter hypocrisy, especially the amount of time, effort and money spent with the inquiries yet they didn't do the same for all the Republicans who did pretty much the same. The same hypocrisy over Benghazi as well, all the money spent on a wild goose chase really. The corruption and hypocrisy is found on both sides, and to be honest, it all stinks, but there IS hope. Repealing citizens united would be a great start to straightening out a lot of the problems. Get the money out first and foremost and then concentrate on everything else. Although, if i'm perfectly honest, I think it may be a bit idyllic to think like that, and other than it not being that simple, there are untold problems to combat from the very bottom right to the very top.

I think we can all agree that the real losers here are the voters. Yet, if we needed any more evidence that America has a disproportionately high number of morons and insular bigots, compared to other developed countries; well, we've been suitably edified.

As a Brit, who's lived here for 13 years, I am usually afforded the opportunity to be irritatingly smug and superior in such circumstances. Alas, Brexit and the concomitant expose of our own small minded populous, has robbed me of my usually glib disposition. Nonetheless, one could be forgiven for tearing their hair out living in the Midwest.

Lucky, I'm in Chicago, which is a modern, progressive (and democratic) city. But we have Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana bordering us, and you see and hear some alarmingly stupid shit. Shit so stupid you can't even reason with it. I mean people really do believe in Obama founding ISIL, and the second coming.

At least I don't live in Georgia, like some poor cnut I saw in this thread.

 Great post..

Dunno why, but I thought you were full Merkin, didn't realise you are British.

Christ, perish the thought. I'm a permanent resident. My wife remains quite vexed that I've yet to attain my citizenship. Truth is, the thought of calling myself American makes me feel a little dirty. Instead, I'll make my fortune off their 'every man for himself/go feck yourself' culture, and act culturally superior in the process.

I'm fairly certain Britain built an Empire on 10% military prowess, 10% strategic use of flags, 80% condescension.

At least Georgia seems to be moving away from the Drumpfster and into the blue. It's still R +2.6 according to 538 but I think it's not unreasonable to now consider it a battleground state. I've been here for thirty plus years and live in a state where he's still up by double digits.

Woe is me and all that. :(

Yeah, but think about that for a second. He's still up in a state despite being an open racist, bigot, misogynist, and possibly predator.

Where do you live? At a guess I'd say Alabama. Arguably the most backwards place on earth.

Funnily enough, my wife's from Alabama, but I (we) actually live in Tennessee.

A long and pretty harrowing read about what would happen from now on, from 4 people who have done extensive research on him.
Sadly, nothing these 'Trumpologists' say surprises me. That's how I've perceived him from the start. It's sickening that there are so many people who are 'out for blood', as d'Antonio puts it. His supporters are getting closer to lynch mob mood every fecking rally.

I didn't realize Tennessee was that bad. My wife went to college there and is down there for the next seven days visiting her sister. Great for me, because I'm in bachelor mode for the next seven days, but maybe not the place for an interracial child.

I've only been there once, because a friend of ours played for the Tennessee Titans. And it seemed cool.

True or not even the implication should warrant his conceding of the top of the ticket.

Rightly or wrongly, and I'm sure in the history of politics it's been both, the old reality would have been exactly this - he would have had to get out of the public eye. Whether that's right or wrong, it would have happened. This election race is proving to be a bit of a post-consequences era.

Oh I know, but not all the airports have it, so I give Atlanta a gold star for that.

Gotta get me a chocolate with sprinkles donut before boarding.

Venture outside of the airport and Atlanta has some of the best strip clubs in the country. Especially if, as you said, you are a fan of chocolate,... ;)

 I've been to Atlanta 3 times and never set foot outside the airport

Like me with Jamaica. Went to the Dominican Republic and the return flight stopped in Jamaica for 4 hours and we weren't allowed to leave the airport. The only reason for this stop I could see, other than making people wish they had gone to Jamaica instead, was so they could sell the passengers flying from Dominica seats, to those that got on in Jamaica. And so everyone was guaranteed to get searched upon return to Gatwick. Fun times indeed.

Oh, yeah, according to one of @Dwazza's country folk, Trump is a dirty sexual predator...

Sound familiar...?

If you have narcissistic personality disorder, you may come across as conceited, boastful or pretentious. You often monopolize conversations. You may belittle or look down on people you perceive as inferior. You may feel a sense of entitlement — and when you don't receive special treatment, you may become impatient or angry. You may insist on having "the best" of everything — for instance, the best car, athletic club or medical care.

At the same time, you have trouble handling anything that may be perceived as criticism. You may have secret feelings of insecurity, shame, vulnerability and humiliation. To feel better, you may react with rage or contempt and try to belittle the other person to make yourself appear superior.

Just the kind of guy to have the nuke launch codes.
