They're surely going to come to some kind of reconciliation before the election, it'll be a complete bloodbath otherwise.

If what we suspected is true and a video/tape showing him saying racist stuff drops then I can't see any sort of reconciliation in the cards.

Oh Deplorables... this is their latest smoking gun today. He's clearly talking about the phrase "Everyday Americans", not hating all of her fellow countrypeople, but why would they let a little of common sense get in the way of frothing at the mouth

Everyday American is the cringiest, phoniest, most senseless catchphrase ever. Does being rich/powerful make you un-American on some days?

True. And even the threat of it existing will do a similar job.

He's gone absolutely fecking batshit. (as @Raoul and I both predicted you know :p) Feels nice to be vindicated.

BUT!

He is getting shitloads of financial support through donations and he isn't spending a single penny of it as far as I can see. He's not putting many ads out, if any at all, he's taken most of his ground crews down to the bare minimum and most places are being run only by volunteers. He knows he is going to lose, him separating from the Republicans is nothing to do with his campaign it's so he can say they aren't funding him anymore so he can get more donations.

This is all just Trump scamming every fecker just like he has always done.

These releases, Colin Powell's, etc., and generally seeing how the higher ups at my work write (and friends in other companies have similar experiences) I've come to conclude: I know important people don't have time, and sometimes didn't grow up around computers, but they still need to punctuate better in emails.

There've been studies about this, really. Generally, the more important you are, the more curt and less well-written your emails are. Well-crafted emails are for plebs.

I think many would say, Bernie bros specially, that yes. They can pay tax, eat shit and rot in jail (because they should all be in jail... we don't know specifically why, but you know they've all done something wrong!).

Edit: I've deleted one there in case it's against caf rules, but the sentiment was my own of this which is, "Holy s--t, it's f'in nothing". But in a nice 80s font.

Another good response to this was, "They don't have a smoking gun, they don't even have smoking smoke"

@Raoul what'd you imagine will happen if Justice Department/IRS go after him post election? Will there be a consensus that he needs to be crushed from the establishment or Rs will politicize it for midterm?

There's also the threat of his rabid followers. They will see him as a martyr.

I don't imagine anyone who isn't currently going after him won't continue to do so. Schneiderman for sure, possibly the IRS after all the nonsense about not paying federal taxes.

 Things like this make posting in here all the more enjoyable now. This one's for you @DiseaseOfTheAge ;)

Alabama slammer!

WOW. Love it.

Donald Trump must not be president.
...
The 2016 election is not a choice between two candidates equally fit to serve, or a choice between the ideology of two parties. Trump is a unique threat and in an election where supporting third party candidates splits a national vote, we see but one option. Clinton may be the second least popular major party candidate in 50 years but she is also one of the most qualified candidates in history. And ultimately, if it isn't her, it's him. And that would be a disaster for America and the world.

This is false unfortunately.

There are plenty of leftists who hate Obama's centrism and that hatred can extends to him personally. I don't believe that is motivated by racial animus.
That's what I mean: I don't understand why people hate him for having different positions that they allow the Tea Party lunatics to take over.

Trump didn't know what he's getting himself into. I feel that the Hilary campaign saved the best for last. IMO far worse revelations than pussy-gate will pop in the next days/weeks.
He wanted to play politics with the establishment, now we will all laugh in delight as his ass being burnt from both sides.

Why should Republicans be loyal to somebody who thinks loyalty a one-way street. His current posts indicate that the withdrawal of Rep support is finally getting to him.

I'm expecting something even more damaging to come out before the last debate, if it only turns out to be the N-word I'd be disappointed. ;)

Says the guy who used to be a Democrat.

The theory that he STILL IS a Democrat seems far less stupid now if you think about it and after recent events. Put that together with the money making scheme from donations and his comments of "I would be the first and only person to actually make money from running for President" and you have to wonder if it is indeed all an elaborate rouse much akin to L. Ron Hubbard and "the best and easiest way to make money is to create a religion" just before coming up with Scientology.

The only Trump campaign surrogate who actually sounds normal is Jason Miller. The rest sound like sleep-deprived Baghdad Bob charlatans who are competing for Trump's attention by attempting to outbullshit one another.
