2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

I think we are all forgetting Trump paraded 4 women in a news conference before the debate. Wtf was he doing? He's clearly insane and if Clinton does win her Presidency will be completely undermined because Trump for one wont leave her alone, and his supporters will be out of control. With all this "rigged election" shit going around, and the apparent acceptance of racism and misogyny who knows what will happen after the election? does anyone actually think his supporters will take this lying down and accept it? And the alternative if Trump wins is unthinkable.

If anyone wants to know how truly bad American politics is at the moment, listen to right wing radio, or watch Fox news. Like Trump, they blame Obama for everything, they will not dare give him credit for anything at all. If you listened to them (all rich millionaires btw) then America is fecked. If they treat Obama this badly, how much worse will they treat Hillary? Something simply has to be done about it all, it cannot go on. People need to learn you simply cannot treat people this way and get away with it, but as you have seen from many of Trumps supporters at his rallies, they actually DO get away with it all the time. I feel America is on the cusp and it could go one way or another, regardless of who wins, I just hope that it does the right thing and is the country the a lot of the rest of the world looks up to or looks to for inspiration. It really needs to get a lid on all this shit, and quickly. It's not a joke anymore.

Is that a Magnun condum???:lol::lol:

How does Kamala Harris usually come across? I know she's not even been elected to the Senate yet but I always hear her mentioned as one to watch.

The one to watch from California is probably Gavin Newsom.

Or they can put them eggs in the Booker/Castro bucket.

Maybe, I just think that four (or eight, as IB points out) years is a lot of time. She has this foundation thing, which is fairly political.

Not to mention before your first two Clintons it was a Bush.
True.
I can't think of a 2nd Hillary term, provided she'll get the 1st one (which I'm not entirely confident about). Michelle would be great but I assume that it's too much for the majority of Americans to handle: Female, black, Dem, political dynasty.
I do think Hillary has this pretty much won. Even the senior GOP analysts are admitting that Trump is finished barring something extraordinary.

I beg to differ. He handled the debate poorly. He wasn't able to articulate one clear sentence, not one coherent answer. He told lie after lie. He made false and/or misleading claims. He contradicted himself within less than 2 minutes. He was clueless on any topic, whether it was Obamacare, Syria, how political decisions are made and how political powers are distriuted. He was completely clueless anytime he was requested to come up with a plan or a strategy to fix or address any issue. He was hypocritcal. He sniffed. He interrupted her. He stalked her. He did not apologize for his behavior. He embraced Russia/Putin. He ridiculed his VP. And so on and so on.
The only thing I'll give him is that he didn't im- or explode. But my bar for a presidential candidate is higher. That a candidate brings up things like Hillary's e-mail scandal or Billy Boy's cheating is nothing I give him credit for because a grammar school kid would be able to do that.

Completely agree with this. His first response about the sex boasts was very poor indeed and smacked of desperation. I still don't know what his policies are and how he intends to fulfill his role as president. You could see where he was going with the 'three on one' claims against the moderators but wouldn't answer their questions directly. You could definitely tell that he'd been briefed on taking a calmer stance during the debate though his content was without any depth or substance. The thought of him being the most powerful man in the world still defies any form of logic for me. I don't understand why the Americans hate Hillary so much that they would jeopardise their great country by voting a moron like that into office.

That's exactly what increases my doubts. These will be four long nail-biting weeks.

I watched the debate live this morning. Piers Morgan and some Trump supporter were later interviewed on This Morning by Holly and Phillip. They both had their head in their hands at one point with the crap that the Trump supporter was coming out with. It's unbelievable that there are that many people in America that think that way if she is typical of the Trump demographic. I'm not American but I don't get all the Hillary hate?

From an outsider looking in Obama has been the best US president in a long time and Michelle has been head and shoulders above the rest as the coolest First Lady ever. Will be a shame to see them go.

This is what I was referring to earlier.....

It's somewhat heartbreaking that the woman we expect to be our first female 'leader of the free world' is having to temper her criticism of a man who's claimed to sexually assault women, because of her partner who has many claims of sexual misconduct made about him and who realistically she couldn't have broken away from whilst maintaining her electability.

If the claims are true, then that is a pretty pathetic reason for her to ignore the claims and stay with him.

"Before it's earned, our money's always spent."

How do you think Bernie would have faired?

He is a bigger spoofer than Trump. They would have torn him apart with ease
Trump's whole campaign against Hillary is based on her shady history, Bernie's record is so clean next to hers he would have failed to trash her.

Plus Bernie's young supporters in the US population is overwhelming, that would've played a major part in it. I know a lot of American Bernie supporters who don't trust Hillary and won't vote for her

Missouri, Georgia, Arizona and Indiana the ones mentioned.

No matter if Clinton wins, the legacy of this presidential contest will be felt for many years.

This is a presidential contest for one of the highest positions in the world. And its been allowed to descend into this cesspit of uncouth skullduggery. Many people will be feel emboldened to express islamophobic, racist and misogynist opinions and a whole generation of children have been introduced to the phrase "grab them by the pussy'.

Its a damning indictment for where humanity has reached.

The BrExit debate was not much better either.

Future contests will never be the same again. As much as people have hated this one, Trump has changed the game and others will pick out his best tactics and emulate them in a more measured fashion.

Last night's antics about parading the former Bill Clinton accusers was precisely why Trump brought Bannon on board. He is the most vile campaign surrogate any Presidential candidate has brought on board in modern history.

She had ~6 months to "tear apart" a self-proclaimed socialist, not-very-religious, nationally unknown 74-year old from Vermont...He reached within 8 points of her for a primary of a party that really loves Clinton. When he entered the race it was ~60% Hillary, 20ish each for Biden and Warren, and less than 5% for Bernie.

He would have entered the general election vs Trump with a 11 point lead in the polls (last polls which included his name were done in June, when he was up by 11 and she was up by 4)...This is before the pussy tape was leaked, before it was revealed Trump hadn't paid taxes, and before the DNC. I think he'd have held off the "socialist" disgust (like she has shaken off the FBI and the leaked emails*2) and won nationally by 5ish points, and there is no polling evidence to suggest otherwise. I remember polls in August (can't find it) which said that he is the most popular senator in his home state (something like 88-12) and 2nd most popular political figure (after Michelle Obama) in the country.
