2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

The second debate usually attracts less of an audience than the first, doesn't it? Wonder if this will buck the trend given the build up...

It should, but there are sporting broadcasts on at the same time that will draw away attention.

Think it'll still be in the 80m range.

Fox are always going to struggle with a boring email story when you've got the pussy-grabber-in-chief making news.

Without a big lead story in the midst of them, something really dramatic, it doesn't have the impact of the Trump tape. I would think that it was rushed out to try and combat the tape release.

Source? I'm asking about the Wikileaks from yesterday, which the BBC has picked up on, not some Guccifer stuff that's been floating around for a month.

There's some Daily Kos article floating about. Basically Russian Intelligence sponsored hackers are gathering information, in some instances altering it for maximum effect, funneling it to Assange, who is gleefully sensationalizing it as the next big Wikileaks release that will bring Hillary Clinton down.

I have only recently started to show interest in the election race so forgive me for not scrutinizing Trump earlier, I condemn everything he said so far including the shit about Mexicans, muslims and women. I have already stated that I am not a Trump-supporter and that I dislike the guy. The main disagreement everyone had with me is that Trump supposedly has the power to just start nuking countries because he either said so or because he's in a bad mood or because the law allows him to (give me a break, nobody will allow Trump to start nuking without a very very very very very good reason). If you guys are that pessimistic about the US' capability to stop a president from going batshit crazy, why the hell even elect one? Who knows what kind of idiots are going to run for president in the future? It's not like the citizens completely filter out all the idiots, because well Trump has a yuge fanbase.
That's because you're wrong. Legally the president CAN just decide to nuke somewhere and only has one other person to stop him.

Trump is an equal opportunities endorser because he makes shitty comments about men and women equally - some pundit on BBC WN.

I've gone through the main highlights. None of them are surprising, indeed, some of them are her past public stances, including on Wall Street culpability. The necessity of having a different public and private stand is something you agreed with. Her campaign chair complained about the fact that he was hacked, not the contents (not sure if they've changed that since yesterday).
If Assagne was modifying for effect, there is tons more they could do - a hint of a presidential run would be deadly, for instance.

So does Trump.

It's been mentioned a lot everywhere, CNN were reporting last night that the Clinton campaign had said the leaks had been doctored, even Fox were conceding that the leaks were not verified and some had been "changed" and "tampered with" when they were talking about them.

I applegize, I'm currently in the locker room. On a serious note I have the upmost respect for Mrs. Conway and if it is revealed that it was her choice not to go out today to defend those comments then she gets a high five from me.
Although the majority of men have been guilty of making comments like that in private it is deplorable that men in Trumps and Bill Clintons positions to use language like that, even in private. This will get beyond the point of applegizing if the Celebrity Apprentice tapes come out. From what I'm hearing folks TM, this will blow him out of the race.

Yes. This seems to bother guys like @Will Absolute quite a bit as well.

Talking about me behind my back. Typical liberal.

Actually I'm not much occupied with the Cafe's politics. It is what it is. I just like to express an opinion now and then. I'm not looking for converts, or worried about whether people agree with me.

We must all die after all. :(

What (UK) time is it tonight?

Also - Beyond the headlines, I've been pretty out the loop since Thursday, so going through this thread over the last hour has been brilliant. Great job all of you, it's one of the best threads on the cafe for being all of informative, funny and repeatedly wince-inducing.

I'm very worried about the debate tonight, Trump might be ready and Hillary might lose the debate, although if she wins there's no way back for Trump.

Its a fake account.

Ya! I know.

Twitter is amazing tonight. This had me spitting tea over the screen and the customers in the pub asking what was so funny. DEnald has been amazing too, as you can see by the tweets I put up a few minutes ago. All providing great entertainment for what I hope will be the greatest show ever seen! Just disappointed it's only an hour and a half and not a 2 hour debate like before. Although Trump could easily storm out way before that. He might surprise us all though and come out apologising and Presidential!

Oh FFS! This just keeps getting better and better.

I'm up at 7am tomorrow but no fecking way am I missing this one.

It's 5 a.m here and I'm about to go grab breakfast and a pack of beer before getting a few hours sleep. Already tweaked my work roster since 2 weeks ago to have the day off.

Feck, that sounds sad :(

Smart move, wish I had done this now.

I'm at work but haven't looked at a single thing beyond this thread since I got in this morning. What time is the debate in our time?
