What a fecker Trump is! Can't wait for the debate tomorrow now. How anybody defended this prick in the first place is frankly quite baffling!

It's truly alarming.

This is very true and it's really scary. A racist, misogynistic and xenophobic pig is withing 10 points of becoming the most powerful person in the world.

I'm really hoping that the increased pressure will cause a meltdown of epic proportions in the next debate. And it is in the Town Hall style that really really won't be good for Trump.

Doesn't the two man rule exist to stop people like Trump from launching a nuke on his own? He'd require the Secretary of Defense's support. The only way it could happen is if his entire team and cabinet also agree with the decision.

That is the way I understood it too.

And worse yet, his racist, misogynistic, xenophobic religious loon of a running mate would be a heart beat away from presidency.

The 2 man rule exists on the subs and in the missile silos. The president has sole authority over ordering a nuclear strike. If any member of the cabinet can veto is unknown to the public... But again, the cabinet is appointed by the President.

On the other hand, we aren't talking about his tax returns any more... can a loss be a win?

The knives are surely being sharpened. There's so much good stuff for them it might be a slaughter.
If I was Trump I'd be shitting it.

TBH the video wasn't shocking for the way he talked about women. Did anyone not think that he was this sort of misogynist? To me the shocking thing is that 40% of the US is currently thinking of voting for someone who refers to himself in the third person to the extent that sycophants also start calling him The Donald.

Depends on who had the tape. If a Dem had it well what did they care about helping the GOP.

Unsure if I believe them or not but that's Access Hollywood's version:
The videotape of Donald Trump that is shaking up the presidential election sat forgotten on a shelf at NBC's "Access Hollywood" until just a few days ago.

On Monday, according to an NBC source, one of the entertainment newsmagazine's producers remembered Trump's 2005 taping session with former "Access" co-host Billy Bush.

Trump's offensive comments about Alicia Machado were still making waves. And the Associated Press had just published a detailed story quoting former "Apprentice" employees saying Trump "was lewd and sexist" while taping the reality show.

With that in mind, a producer dug up the tape.

The video on its own was nothing is just another piece to show that he's an utter cnut

I didn't think I'd ever defend trump. But people who say that he is describing sexual assault in the clip are just following an agenda. At no point he claimed to grab them by the pussy (his words, not mine), against the woman's will. Yes, a presidential candidate shouldn't say stuff like this. And yes, it sounds extremely pretentious. Is he objectifiying woman? Probably. But first all sexuality is about objectifying the other sex to a certain extent and second of all, it's still not the same as sexual assault.

I hate it, when people change the facts based on their beliefs.

What he describes is 100% sexual assault, he even seems to get off on the lack of consent. That is is hopefully just boastful misogynistic fantasy doesn't make it much better.

Imagine Trump somehow won, had a health related incident, and then handed the presidency to the Tea Party branch of Republicanism represented by Pence.

That's the worst case scenario, I think. And Trump is bad enough.

So how do we think Trump's actually going to behave at the debate? I'm not totally sure he's capable of being muted and restrained.

This has the potential to be the ugliest, most embarrassing debate in American TV history. Trump is angry, desperate and looking for revenge - all during a debate where common citizens ask candidates for their views on certain issues. If he goes after her for being an enabler, for Bill on rape issues etc then things could get really ugly, and his campaign will surely be over as other Republicans will continue to pull the plug on funding and endorsements.

It's shocking how little has been made of Pence' brand of suppressive lunacy.
I think it's because Trump is the Sarah Palin of this race. He's so controversial that he's managed to grant the Tea Party a sense of nonthreatening normalcy by comparison.

The Huffington Post has made the rather reasonable point that none of the GOP raised an eyelid when Roger Ailes joined Trumps campaign. And that they're acting shocked only goes to show how willing they were to overlook his previous, similar behaviour.

That's precisely why Ailes didn't join the campaign. He is apparently just giving Trump advice over phone chats.
