She's been attacked and dissected for every word she says, expression she adopts, clothes she wears and company she keeps for the last 25 years and people like you wonder why she is so careful about her public persona.

You're misreading my post. Trump can insult people because that is his persona. She cannot because as "the politician" that isn't something she can do.
And for any normal leader, insulting 25% of the country is usually a no-go.

What she said is not the same as responding to 1 person who attacks an individual personally. Those are more likely to get a free pass.

For the record, this has been an unforced error from her, but I don't buy into the notion that it's as bad as the 47% comment or Mexican rapists line. It's completely blown out of proportion.
she's doing exactly what I feared she might do, that is generalization and name calling of trump and worse yet, people who support him, instead of going after trump's actual weaknesses like, for example, being inexperienced in the political stage (i.e. has no political experience, hasn't held a political office, etc.), she's merely labeling him as racist, sexist, bought by the russians, what have you.
those mere accusations aren't going to bring down trump, whose campaign has basically been fueled by those who call him names (regardless of if all those labels are true for trump) so those remarks are not going to hurt the trump campaign at all. instead she's arguably damaged her own campaign with this move.

let's flip the situation. what if trump called tens of millions of hillary supporters stupid, idiotic and can't think for themselves for supporting a "crooked" career politician. there would be an outrage (including bunch of green smileys) in this thread, and rightly so too.

We are seeing Hillary's true self emerge. Yesterday's meltdown is the reason her handlers keep her locked away from the press. That's why she does only the most carefully scripted, brief, and controlled events.
She is not a politician. Her husband was the politician, and he radiated comfort and connected with people by projecting a (manufactured) likable persona. Hillary has only won a single election in her life, and that was riding on Bill's coattails with the deck stacked in her favor for the NY senate. She lost her first real fight for office against Obama in 2008. Hillary's nature is imperious, self-righteous, inauthentic, and witchy. People see her as unlikable, wooden, angry, and condescending. All of that came out yesterday and we will only see more of her venom as she cracks under the threat of failure from the physical/mental challenges she cannot withstand.
This country is sick of her and she just showed everyone why.

Nothing Wikileaks releases can be taken serious anymore. They are being fed by Russian intelligence seeking to influence the US elections so that Trump is elected.

There's an active Russian intel campaign going on. CNN just reported people in the intelligence community have enough evidence that Russia was behind the DNC hacks. They are also using their cyber/hacking resources to feed the information to Wikileaks. Putin hates Hillary and is doing everything he can to ensure Trump gets elected.
I'm looking forward to watching a woman feck with Putin in a few months.

Who knows - probably to flout the perception that they aren't actually promoting him. Trump has a significant pro-Russian presence in his campaign. Manafort, Ephstein, Carter Page etc.
It does, because its an active effort to influence US elections. The substance of the leaks takes a back seat when there is a nation state allowing them to drip to Wikileaks for the purpose of effecting the outcome.

The DNC hacks were not that. You can argue all day about why Russia shouldnt be getting involved, but I dont think it matters as long as the leaks are credible.

Its all a distraction. The Russians are deeply involved with affecting the US elections, much as they've been doing Europe by supporting nativist anti-EU movements, as well as movements in Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine etc. Its a fundamental part of Russian information warfare doctrine.
I'm sure some of the material is likely real, but that doesn't preclude the possibility that other material isn't.

Stupid mistake by her, she should have used the real number instead of the lazy half. Many people are saying, and you can find this on Google if you search it, that 49% of Trump supporters are deplorable.

because calling people deplorable won´t win her any votes, but alienates further voters in the middle who hold some level of xenophobic ideas. Xenophobia isn´t some fringe phenomenon, but very much mainstream. You don´t have to be KKK to worry about illegal immigration, low-wage competition or increasing crime rates. @berbatrick posted the statistic, that shows fairly well that a decent amount of her own voters actually hold these views.

The way she, Podesta, Brian Fallon, other surrogates large and small keep doubling down on this one show that while 'half' is oversimplifying it, the whole thing is a calculated strategy to drive the narrative back to Drumpf's fringe politics.
She does terribly with them either way. It's the youth vote defecting to Johnson and Stein that is the problem right now.
