2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

The deplorables thing was a dumb idea. Won't work since most people have already made up their minds about both candidates. She is doing the right thing in chipping away at moderate Republicans (ie non-Tea Party/Alt-Right nutcases) by holding natioanl security summits, addressing the American Legion, and similar events. At this point the race is basically down to her chipping away at his voter pool (moderate Republicans) and him chipping away at hers (blacks/hispanics/suburban whites).

She does terribly with them either way. It's the youth vote defecting to Johnson and Stein that is the problem right now.

These voters already know that Trump is a racist scumbag. Petty point scoring via focus group tested statements will only further alienate them. She just further puts herself in the news cycle with negative headlines.

According to the new WaPo/ABC poll she leads him by 8 2 way, by 5 4 way. 93% of his RV is likely to vote, hers is 80%. The difference? Sandersnistas. Are you telling me they are the 'deplorables'?

This is Hillary fecking Clinton we are talking about. Everything she comes out with in public is focus group tested everyday and twice on Sunday. They wouldn't touch the talking point with a barge pole if they think it'll lose them a single vote.

That's an impressive poll for Hillary given the recent Trump surge (which I sense is losing steam following his Mexico trip). I would be happy with a 3-4 point Hillary lead, as that would be good enough for a 100 point electoral college win including a bit of buffer in swing states.

What will not help Trump is that early voting starts very soon and he has a poor ground game in most states (minimal staff and get out the vote efforts compared to Hillary, who has massive organization in all the battleground states).

The question is what the ground game can deliver.

The one campaign tactic that’s consistently been found to be effective in turning out voters is field organizing—being present on the ground in a community and campaigning door-to-door. But the effects are small: For all the hype about Obama’s ground game in 2012, it likely netted him less than a point in the states where it was most active. Only a single state, Florida, was won or lost by that small a margin.

Its not just a ground game, its early voting. Romney and Obama were pretty much level on voting day in 2012, but Obama was already significantly ahead because his campaign made a big ground game push towards promoting early voting.

You can see how early voting had a tremendous influence on battleground/swing states. Trump currently has very little in terms of a ground game and is relying on the RNC to help him, whereas the Dems have again invested heavily in.

You're misreading my post. Trump can insult people because that is his persona. She cannot because as "the politician" that isn't something she can do.
And for any normal leader, insulting 25% of the country is usually a no-go.
When you run for the highest public office you become a politician. Trump has insulted a large portion of the electorate and should be held to the same standard as Hillary. The press are finally going after him and it will all coming crashing down fairly quickly. If McCain and Romney can't get enough of the popular and electoral then Trump doesn't have a chance. Shame on the RNC for unleashing this clown on the country. He is just a Sarah Palin with a dick, nothing more.

Apparently, Hillary lost a shoe an hour or so ago at 9/11 Memorial.

They have no shame. This shower of shite are considered by the FCC to be on the same peg as Kent Brockman and Tom Tucker. I'm embarrassed for anyone that considers themselves informed by this bigoted, misogynistic collection of dumbfecks objects of perversion.

Official statement says she was not feeling well and went home to her daughters house .She is now feeling better. Does not bode well.

This doesn't necessarily have anything to do with today's "episode" but it certainly reminds me of what I've said several times in the past - that the most high preassure job in the world should not be held by a person in his or hers 70's. Both Clinton and Trump may have a clean bill of health at the time but at their age a decline can set in sudden and rapidly. Dementia, for instance, as I have understood is not easy to detect before it has become pretty advanced.

I don't think late 60s is too old to be elected President. Mid seventies maybe. All depends on the person.

If elected and re-elected Trump will be 78 towards the end of his reign, Clinton would be 77! I genuinely think it's too old.

I agree. You're asking for another Reagan. On the flip side, you might get a Bush senior, who was competent.

Definitely agree with that, although 41 was about 70 when his gig was up. Quite a big difference to being 70 when you are elected the first time around.

You're right. She's not coughing. She's passing out in the street, knees buckled, lost a shoe in the street, fell off the curb, and carried into the car by her handlers.

Her health is just a conspiracy theory launched by Putin's henchmen :) She's cracking up, under the pressure applied by Trump.

It's an election campaign, I'm sure the candidates are functioning on a couple of hours sleep per night.

"she felt overheated" is a weird way of putting it.

Yep she's fiiiiiiiine

That sounds a lot better than "had a Parkinson's disease mini-stroke in the middle of the street because she can't handle failure so that's why we keep her public appearances to less than 15 minutes".

Highlights from Hillary's week:
-coughing fit Monday at Cleveland rally
-coughing fit on campaign plane cuts off reporters' questioning
-shares the fachts about "Basket of Deplorables"
-all polls tightening and showing Trump leading in some key areas
-Trump's numbers improve markedly among minority groups
-passes out and loses a shoe in the street
-cuts off questions about daughter Chelsea's role at Clinton foundation
-Assange promises additional 100,000+ documents
