2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

Which is good for Trump, isn't it? Mainstream support for Cruz would be severely half-hearted, at best.
If it went to a contested convention, he could end up the compromise candidate between conservatives and the establishment if he finishes clear ahead of Rubio. When you've got people like Lindsey Graham suggesting it, who'd probably be happy to watch Cruz bleed to death, you know it's serious.

It's fecking hilarious watching the repub poobahs twist themselves in knots over what to do. They loathe Trump but Cruz is equally bad but at least an actual conservative. These feckers are reaping what they sowed 8 years ago.

I must say though, it is fecking scary that we are close to a President Cruz. Anything could happen in the general and then the cnut gets in and the country goes to hell.

Will it be any different under the rest? Trump, Cruz and Hillary - they are all scary.

Looks like Alaska might also go Trump's way. That's 8 out of the 13 states. Impressive result for Trump and he also took some delegates in Texas. He finished either first or second in all states bar one!!!

Trump was right. He said even if he stood in the middle of 5th avenue and shot someone, he still wouldnt lose supporters. No matter how wrong or how controversial or how pathetic he is, he still keeps winning. If he wins, my bet is he will do such a shit job that he will be impeached half way through his first term.

I really don't get this. What's so scary about Hillary, to the extent of being comparable to the rest? I mean, she seems rather dull, if anything. Just a typical politician with the usual flaw of being overly close to private interests.

Trump's doing a cracking impression of a bloke who might wake up one day and decide he could take China, whilst Cruz's main argument is that Trump's terrifying statements aren't believable, whereas he actually believes in the extremely far right sentiment.

I mean, don't get me wrong, in a perfect world we smash the state and they're all up against the wall... But, still, gradations of scariness are relevant!

Hillary is tepid next to Cruz. That guy is the fecking antichrist...Damien Thorn.

I find it strange that this gives Hillary the momentum, I mean the Dems aren't winning Texas etc in the general.

It seems pretty even on the swing states or is it all just down to whoever will appeal in Florida and that looks to be Clinton?

It's like having to taste different pieces of shit and picking out your favourite.

Good night for Cruz in both delegates and perception terms really.

Trump has won 7 now instead of the widely expected 10/11 and his margins haven't been as big as expected either except 1/2.

I think he would have won more handsomely as well if Cruz and Rubio had allowed it to drift like they were previously. The more critical spotlight has brought him down a bit.

Like seriously who is worse though? Drumpf or Cruz? At least with the former you know what you're getting. He has been open about it. Nothing that Im supporting anything the cnut is saying. But you know what you're going to get. But with Cruz its just the opposite. You know he is just as scary with the radical, extremist views on almost everything but he somehow comes off as sane. This mystery part is what Im scared off.

Don't think 10 was expected for Trump...most thought he would win 9.

Texas, Oklahoma and Minnesota were up for grabs, with Trump maybe grabbing Minnesota.

Alaska with Palin was thought to be a win for Trump (though it seems ppl forgot Alaskans hate her because she decided she was too good to be a Gov. and quit for a celebrity lifestyle)

Ayatollah Cruz will bring about the Christian Republic of America.

If anything Trump is more erratic and unpredictable than Cruz. He could end up doing, saying just about anything if he were ever to win or anything to win also.

Cruz is predictably devious but you know more what you will get and that's tea party conservatism though within some limits.

Think Hillary will beat both though. Trump more easily.

Yup he will show Isis who is the most religious because he will throw gays of much taller buildings than they can (plus he will be bombing all their buildings till the desert glows... Im hoping he is bombing them with glow sticks though I suspect that was not his intention)

Bit random, but I quite liked this photo. Her demographic advantage with women has been done to death so I won't bore everyone, but that right there kind of visually summarizes a major advantage I think she'll have in November, just being herself.

I'll have to second Dwazza on this. We also see her grandmotherly warmth fade when she gets confronted without expecting it:

And if we're going to go by pictures, Sanders has her beat with this picture from a small gathering, where he listened to the people afflicted by the atrocious goings-on in Flint. This is a private picture, the media was not called in to cover this event and he didn't make a big press event out of it, and you KNOW by looking at this picture that it's genuine:

"I could have stayed home and baked cookies and had teas, but what I decided to do was fulfill my profession'" (Hillary Clinton)

People like Clinton aren't true feminists.

How on earth does anyone believe that 'you know what you're getting' with Trump?

The mans contradicted himself approximately 632,467x this week alone.

That's the "no true feminist" fallacy.

I've been outsmarted by you before, Mr E, so I shall now bugger off from this thread. :D
*buggers off*

Can you elaborate?

It was just a stupid joke, tbh. In the world of logical fallacies, there's a thing called the "no true Scotsman" fallacy. If you were to say "All Scottish people are ginger and drunk", and I point you to a sober blonde Scotsman, you'd be committing such a fallacy if you were to say "no true Scotsman would be blonde and/or sober". I was merely alluding to that :S

Yep, you're right. I guess it's similar to my inherently stooopid 'everybody generalises' comment.

I'm well acquainted with the fallacy, just interested in why that could be used to say Hillary isn't a true feminist. Personally, I see nothing wrong with the aforementioned quote.

I think its that she is saying look at me Im different - most other women just want to bake cookies at home - I dont take it that way but it could be spun that way if you wanted to
