2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

Trump pretty much screwed Bush by labeling him "low energy".

I'd expect him to come up with something for Rubio as well.

Trump ironically points out that socialist countries have better educational systems. The man's a fecking moron. Reagan the second.

Rubio looking like he's got 2nd nearly wrapped up. lol@Cruz.....who was supposed to be strong in Evangelical South Carolina, and wound up in 3rd.

This is madness. If Trump wins the nomination, fecking hell. That will be a profound statement about just how fecked America is at the moment.

It's a country in transition, always darkest before dawn.
Didn't seem that way when Clinton first got in. Or even when Bush took over from Clinton (the first year, Gore voting scandal disregarded, before 9/11 changed it all).

Most bizarre US election in my lifetime.

The damage that Reagan (et. al.) did is deep and lives long after him, the good was interred with his bones ;)

I think a big part of the Trump/Sanders appeal is their call to hark back to the good auld days, when a factory job can see a man provide for his whole family and send his kids to college, when the US is undoubtedly the strongest, most secured nation in the world and there is no terrorism threat. However, trickle down economics and the shifting dynamics of the global economy have done their job, and that day is not coming back. A large portion of the population is now lashing out against it, before coming to terms with their conditions.

That is, of course, not to say that there isn't more to the movement behind Sanders or Trump, but the main driving force behind them is an angry, shrinking middle class.
