2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi

USA finally break the dead lock. Undeserving win after the disallowed goal, but good game to watch

 Just because you disagree with the rules doesn't mean that they're not the rules.
I never said it wasn't the right call in line with the rules. It is a stupid rule, and the goal should have counted though. If i was a keeper, i'd just be giving the goals a little kick off line every now and then when the ref's are not looking

1972. The FIBA President let the Soviets get multiple chances to win the basketball final. When they failed each time he gave them another until they got it right. Russians should never complain about the refs. And the IOC can shove their silver medals up their arses.
42 years ago something happened to a completely different country in a completely different sport.

The sport of ice hockey is the real loser today. I'm not sure how it can recover from the greatest sporting injustice I've seen in my years.

In protest I think I will stop watching until the next winter games

likely the next time it is actually on Australian tv

Why do the coaches at Skeleton shout "RUN RUN RUN" or "GO GO GO GO" at the start? Do they think the competitor has actually forgot what to do?

I don't know why, but I find the commentator for the curling amusing. Such enthusiasm

I'm getting a bit annoyed with certain aspects of the olympics...

- Athletes going "for the experience" ... It just makes me feel a bit cheated, it's like they're not even giving their all.
- Lizzy Yarnold "I've been working a lifetime for this" ... , you started 5 years ago. That is NOT a lifetime.

Oh. My. God. That was an absolute domination by Kjetil Jansrud in the super giant slalom. Half a second in front of everyone.

Canada dominating Finland but only 1-0 up half-way through the game. Quite boring game so far.

Not watching but a Canadian OT win would be  for the tournament. At least I think that would put Finland & Sweden in Russia's half, Canada in with the US.

Women's boarder cross semis were great. Almost everyone going over the line on their arses in one.

Everything else pales next to the cross racing.

Watching a replay of the men's 12.5km biathlon. Goodness what an exciting race so far...can't believe the Canadian leading the race fell over.

So Noggies...what happened in the 4 x 10km? Losing to Sweden is a bit of a habit now...at least you beat the Italians.
