2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi

Our female biathletes are making a balls out of their sprint apparently.

Berger's 40 seconds off the pace after the first shooting.

Correction: Berger nailed the last shooting and is speeding up. Might be hope for a medal still.

Berger a couple of seconds off.

Too bad with her slow start and the miss on the first shooting.

That's an impressive win for Kuzmina, but think she wont keep it up in Pursuit race. Feel the same for Bjoerndalen actually.

Meanwhile, in sports that people outside of Norway care about :p Russia vs. Germany in the women's hockey was a pretty great opening game. Nice & physical with some good defensive hockey from the Germans for two periods. Russia challenging for a medal would make for an interesting competition.

Bilodeau repeats gold in men's moguls. First to ever repeat. Ridiculous amounts of talent on Canada's team with a 1, 2, 4 finish. Moguls is great too team

Hamelin won on the short track, could be the start of something special for him in these games

I mean, I could understand the heat of the moment and being excited that a Brit was about to win a medal but cheering someone falling? :D

That's pretty bad

I had a displeasure to listen to them live, it was awful. As said before, they sounded like drunk teenagers. Some of them were probably.

They were awful again on the ski slopestyle final.

It's not so much the stupid comments that get me, its the obvious lack of knowledge. They always seem to be utterly perplexed at the scoring, despite the consistency with which they award clean landings higher points over difficult tricks without one. Summerhayes the most recent example.

It was like Morgana Robinson's impression of Fearne Cotton had been given half a gram of coke and told to commentate on her school sports day.

It was fecking awful.

Right, lets put this into context...

So, when John Terry slipped and missed a penalty in the champions league final against us you didn't go off mentally screaming and laughing while shouting "GET IN"...

The commentators are British, supporting Team GB, on the BBC (Yeah, I reckon one of those B's may mean something...) ... We're seriously a nanny nation, complain about everything. Other countries probably do the same but because they actually want their country to do well everyone at home is sat laughing. I know it's not the most professional thing of them to do, but who cares? At least they are fans of the sport/team, unlike that ballbag faced Adrian Chiles, who I swear, has never actually watched football.

Don't even try against us Norwegians when it comes to XC skiing. We'll murder ya!

A majestic day of curling. The German lad shat himself on the last throw to give GBR the win, and the women smashed the US 12-3. If there's a better sport involving sweeping, I haven't seen it.

Shaun white bails in the half pipe on his first run. Lots of pressure on him now for the second run!

The 15 year old young lad who went before him was incredible though.

Wow, the Swiss are doing well now.

Now, can Shaun white handle the pressure? We are about to find out.
