Theres the clip of his first shot and then his second for anyone who missed it.
Right, eyes down. These are the words of the United States Golf Association rulebook, subsection 20-7 - Playing From The Wrong Place.
"If a competitor becomes aware that he has played from a wrong place and believes that he may have committed a serious breach, he must, before making a stroke on the next teeing ground, play out the hole with a second ball played in accordance with the Rules.
"If the competitor has committed a serious breach and has failed to correct it as outlined above, he is disqualified."
That will be the one that critics of the Masters officials' decision will be putting to Woods later today.
If I didn't have a financial interest in this tournament, I'd love for Tiger to go along and win it anyway. You still wouldn't rule it out!
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter who is playing and made that same shot, the rules are the rules and for me, Woods should be disqualified, otherwise it will set a precedent where others will do it in future tournaments and will use what happened to Woods in their defense should he not be disqualified. Cheated on his wife, and he is now cheating against his fellow professionals, what a low-life.
This American coverage of the Masters is a joke. I've been watching it since about 3.30 and I think I've only seen about 2-3 actual golf shots. They love to talk shit.
I've been watching actual golf shots for like 2 hours now.....on Sky. 15 & 16 holes. Good enough for me, nice mix of players and then move onto a featured group in a bit.
Good, no one wants Tiger to win.......RORY CHARGE
I was going to pop a few bucks on Rickie Fowler, not sure what I was thinking there, but glad I didn't.
I really think golf is too unpredictable to bet on. Snedeker, Dufner and Kuchar are just about consistent enough to ever warrant bets, but I have no clue otherwise!
